Hi all - apologies if I've missed anyone out on here, I'm half asleep 😂

@FlapJackered I'd let your body try sorting itself out naturally still, I've be worried about trying anything that can potentially cause problems to cycles - and speak to GP, as well, and see what they think.

It's not something I would risk, my cycles seem to be levelling out at the moment.

FlapJackered · 21/11/2018 10:00

@katbecool - that is what I am a bit worried about - I have just seemed to get them reliably under 33 days so don't particularly want to mess them up again.

@MrsAW2018 - I am tempted but also really don't want to mess up my cycle. I might wait until Feb or March when I will have been trying a year and then give them a whirl on a lowish dose.
Do you think you would try them?

@sunshine1987 that sounds positive - will they retest you?

sunshine1987 · 21/11/2018 09:57

@validuser thank you that’s interesting, going to do some reading up this afternoon

@eltzbee yeah was refreshing for him to be so honest. I do think women tend to go to female doctors for this kind of thing (I certainly requested female doctors as thought they would understand more), so I get where he’s coming from

sunshine1987 · 21/11/2018 09:56

@mrsaw2018 the only problem is that it’s asking for those who did fall pregnant, can’t get an idea of those who didn’t and it messed up their cycle for? I’m quite regular so feel at ease messing with it, plus the negatives for it put me off at the moment. I might once I get to cycle 12 start looking into it or if my progesterone needs a boost x

EltzBee · 21/11/2018 09:46

@sunshine1987 that's promising at least, and definitely respect a Dr that says it's not their speciality and they will check. I wonder if statistically female doctors are 'better' at working with fertility because they innately understand it more?! I know for us ladies it is sometimes easier to explain to a woman than a man!

ValidUser · 21/11/2018 09:39

@sunshine1987 from a bit more reading, some reproductive endocrinologists think you probably ovulated if it's close to 20, but it's still on the low side - maybe not yet enough to support a pregnancy.

sunshine1987 · 21/11/2018 09:27

Got my progesterone test results back and they were 19, can’t find anything through googling but sure he said above 25 meant you had ovulated?

He said all patients now tend to go to female doctors for fertility (mine is off sick) so he’s not very clued up about next steps so is going to speak with someone for advice and call me back about what we do now. Though he did say if CM and pains are saying I ovulate and tie in with temperature and opk’s then he can’t understand how I possibly can’t be. So thinks test was done wrong day or I have lower than average progesterone and either way it can be sorted. Feeing so much better even though I got not very further that it wasn’t all doom and gloom

EltzBee · 21/11/2018 09:20

@stormtrooperjulian sending virtual hugs. Look after yourself today and be kind to yourself. Flowers Cake

MrsAW2018 · 21/11/2018 09:18

@FlapJackered I think I've read through that... are you tempted to give them a try? They sound fantastic if they don't mess up your cycle!

MrsAW2018 · 21/11/2018 09:16

@sunshine1987 I'm torn on whether to use them or not. Sometimes my cycles are under 35 days but then other cycles can be 55 days! The amount of people on one of the forums who got pregnant on their first or second cycle using them was crazy! I just don't want to ruin my menstrual cycle I guess! It's a gamble xx

stormtrooperjulian · 21/11/2018 09:15

@ValidUser good luck!

I’m 12dpo today, AF due tomorrow and have some light brown discharge (tmi sorry!) this morning so I assume that is AF getting ready to start 😞

EltzBee · 21/11/2018 09:00

@SullyWifey good luck for today.

My fertility friend app has recalculated and now decided I oulated on day 18. So I'm 5DPO still again! Weird!

sunshine1987 · 21/11/2018 08:53

@validuser good luck! x

ValidUser · 21/11/2018 08:44

HSG this afternoon. Wish me luck!

PurrMaid · 21/11/2018 08:37

Good Morning ladies 😃
Touch wood, I think the bleeding from my MC has finished 9 days after starting. I would usually ovulate on day 12 of my cycles, but a HPT I did yesterday had a line, but fainter than one I did 2 weeks ago. So thinking I will ov a bit later than usual.
Still feel like my cervix is a bit tender, but want to start DTD so we don’t miss our chance this cycle. Fx he’s up for it tonight 😝

MrsR16 · 21/11/2018 08:23

@GemmaJen no I'm not using OPKs, so it's all a guessing game! 😂 although if I get pg this month, it'll be a miracle!

Delilah7 · 21/11/2018 07:18

@KatBeCool @FlapJackered thanks girls! Me too xx

GemmaJen · 21/11/2018 06:25

Second low temp this morning, BD'd more than we probably should, though DH instigated, even with me being a little crazy about ttc, so can't complain. Blush Think I'll do another OPK later and see if it's the same.

@MrsR16 I don't think pain is a prerequisite for successful ovulation. I've ever had pain or symptoms. Only Ewcm. Are you using Opk's?

KatBeCool · 21/11/2018 06:03

@EssJayyCee good luck at your appointment!

@FlapJackered are your cycles longer than 35 days? I read a bit about soy isoflavones and it says it can screw up normal length cycles (under 35 days) even if they are irregular, and especially if they are. Honestly, I avoid soy in any form like plague mainly due to its role in messing up hormones. Without Dr's advise, I wouldn't touch it. I'm sure it helped some people but I'd be cautious to just try it.

@Delilah7 hope your hcg levels are increasing, I'm sure they are!

rj995 · 21/11/2018 03:29

*quiet

rj995 · 21/11/2018 03:28

Hi ladies, been quite for a few days waiting on AF arriving, after going back and foreword thinking I'm pregnant, AF has officially arrived, the beginning of another month TTC! Trying not to let myself feel too down about it all, I'm sure it'll hit a lot point tomorrow tho. Still hope for a Christmas conception but I think the chances are still slim.

Fingers crossed for all of you in the ttw🤞🏼

MrsR16 · 20/11/2018 23:14

Fingers crossed for you @EssJayyCee 🤞🤞

I'm wondering whether I'm ovulating at all - do any other ladies experience no pain with ovulation? I'm having spotting today (CD20) but can't figure out what it could be to do with

EssJayyCee · 20/11/2018 23:12

So... I've got an ultra sound scan appointment for Friday... I just hope my work let's me switch my shift around or I won't be able to go!

I am so nervous but will be glad when I get some answers for my pains and irregular periods! Fingers crossed.

FlapJackered · 20/11/2018 22:52

@MrsAW2018 @sunshine1987 I was looking at them a few days ago.
I found this thread which has inspired me -

I will read your link sunshine now so may change my mind. Desperate times call for desperate measures though!

PaintingOwls · 20/11/2018 22:32

Thanks EltzBee average is 28 days but looking through my app the are several 26 and 31 day cycles, so I suppose it's possible that this is a long cycle.
