@katbecool @cupcakesandglitter- I totally agree with you both and feel your pain. @Eltzbee that’s really good news if you ask me- well done and keep going. I think I need a bit of a digital detox to stop me googling every bloody baby or pregnancy related thought that comes into my head 😂

I’m actually just thinking I might have December off taking my temperature, doing the OPKs etc, the whole shebang and just have sex every other day after my period and see where that gets us. These last few months have been lonely and really tough as you all know and I’m not sure it’s much good for my mental health. The only problem with that is that I worry Natural Cycles will have to learn my cycle all over again come January 😫. Other option I’m thinking is maybe Ovusense or something similar- even just remembering to temp at the right time within all the rules of Natural Cycles is making me stressed!

starkid · 29/11/2018 16:49

@Crossfitgirl I had spotting a couple of days before my period last cycle for the first time ever, plus some other random spotting after ovulation. It's so annoying! It got me so excited and sure.

I think, at least in my case, being on the pill for so long makes you forget what it's usually like with the irregularity and extra symptoms that don't happen on the pill

Fingers crossed it does actually mean something positive for you though

starkid · 29/11/2018 16:46

Hi everyone, I'm CD21, 5 days after my positive OPK. Anyone else at a similar stage in their cycle?

This sort of time in the cycle sucks imo, as there's no symptoms I can obsess over yet haha

Crossfitgirl · 29/11/2018 16:46

Thank you for all the positive vibes everyone. I've never had 4 days of spotting before, I do feel very much like AF is actually here but she is clearly hiding.
I plan to test again in the morning.
It was such a stark BFN yesterday though.

Sorry for the sad news @sophiepie I really am. Massive hugs and please let off any steam you need to with us

@eltzbee I'm so happy for you it isn't PCOS! What a relief! Glad you feel on track with a health kick, it's tough trying to be healthy at Christmas.

I'm on a spa day tomorrow and we get fizz with our meal, so if AF hasn't come I don't want to drink... even if it's still a BFN! Actually thinking about it.
AF is bound to come.
I mean, it's a spa day.
My bikini is white.
I've basically written my own fate 😂

EltzBee · 29/11/2018 16:23

@SophiePie so sorry to hear, sending hugs your way.

@stormtrooperjulian sounds like you have a plan! I'm 3 days behind you :)

@Crossfitgirl that's it, you tell AF where to go :D she really is a bitch, isn't she. I'm on CD6 and she's still hanging around a bit.

@FlapJackered good luck and have a wonderful Christmas - enjoy your break from the thread (unless we see you briefly ;)) Remember to keep us in the loop, too.

Got my blood test results back for PCOS and Thyroid today, and they were all 'Normal' apparently. Which is good, although it means I'm a fatty through my body being a pain/adjusting to coming off pill/just being a fatty! lol

Started slimming world last night, going to follow that but with some common sense approach - got a mister for vegetable oil as can't stand that 'fry light' stuff which destroys pans. Hopefully it'll help improve things generally :)

Feeling much better after a few days of being less online and getting my head back in gear, too. And knowing that it isn't PCOS is a relief - just need my cycles to play ball. My friend said her cycles are sometimes shorter/longer too and that is all just varies. One for me to learnt to try and take in my stride!

cupcakesandglitter · 29/11/2018 16:22

@KatBeCool @Bettythecat I feel the same about the fact that there are morbidly obese women who get pregnant, and yet the first piece of advice I got was I need to lose weight etc etc... I try do keep healthy, I cut out everything that would be bad for me and yet there are women that may be overweight and smoke etc yet have no issue getting pregnant. Makes it all worse really, knowing that there are people that don't want them that can have them, and yet there are people that want them but can't have them. It's such a struggle, it's a shame a lot of people don't really understand - it's why I'm so glad I found you all, I don't know how I'd cope otherwise. ❤️

OP posts:
KatBeCool · 29/11/2018 16:15

@Bettythecat uff, yes. People who don't want it or aren't trying fall pregnant left and right, and yet people who want it more than anything and are often far more qualified to be parents have to struggle. My SIL, who wasn't trying, didn't want kids anytime soon, if ever, fell pregnant. Other day she was apparently meddling in some harsh household chemicals without gloves or a respirator. I'm guessing there's more stuff like that she does that I don't even know about.

Bettythecat · 29/11/2018 15:21

@MrsEG that’s good that you were able to share it with your boss and go home when you needed to- I’ve just made something up and gone.

It feels so desperately unfair when all these women have piles of children by accident or when friends fall pregnant without even trying. I know at least two friends who have had abortions after getting pregnant by mistake and here we all are desperately trying and it doesn’t happen for us when it’s so wanted.

It’s so hard to stop the negative thoughts spiralling too. What if we won’t ever succeed, what if the family I dreamed of won’t happen for me...

MrsEG · 29/11/2018 14:45

Hope you’re okay @flapjackered look after yourself.

It’s horrible isn’t it @bettythecat - luckily my work (boss) knew about my MC and was amazing so when I got AF yesterday and felt terrible she just told me to go home.

This whole process is so tough and I find it really takes a toll on my mental health as so many of you guys say. As much as I want it, I’m actually looking forward to my December off. No OPKs, counting days, symptom spotting just RnR and chill-out time. I’ve alteady booked a date day for me and DH for the first day of Xmas break to spend a super fun day together.

Love to you all. We’re all in this together!

Bettythecat · 29/11/2018 14:41

Did an early test- af due tomorrow- as I couldn’t face another day with the anxiety and it was a BFN. I didn’t test first thing in the morning but pretty sure it’s still accurate. Feel compeltely hopeless and flat even considering making up an excuse to go home because I feel so shit. DH telling me he feels disappointed too. this is all too much.

I’m so sorry @Sophiepie and I know it’s nothing in comparison to what you are going through. Xx

MrsAW2018 · 29/11/2018 14:16

@cupcakesandglitter it wasn't great but she's normally a fantastic dr who's looked after me a lot over the years. Hoping it was just a one off comment but wasn't particularly helpful when I was on the verge of tears. Xxx

@CookieWaffle sounds like it's been really tough on you 😢. I definitely think once I've got a baby in my arms, my ongoing depression will lift in a way. I have wanted this so badly since I was in my early teens, I have never imagined doing anything else. I hope you're doing okay at the moment. X

@sunshine1987 wasn't particularly helpful I don't think she realised how unhelpful it was though. Very frustrating appointment 😖 x

MrsAW2018 · 29/11/2018 14:10

@SophiePie I'm so sorry please look after yourself. We're all here for you. Hugs xxx

ValidUser · 29/11/2018 14:01

@FlapJackered we're here for you whenever. I can relate to the hopelessness.

PM me if you ever need to.

sunshine1987 · 29/11/2018 13:40

@flapjackered we’ll miss you, hope you’re ok xx

DayDreamer1707 · 29/11/2018 13:07

@KatBeCool I have definitely had my positives, suppose I will just have to see the outcome. I hope I have ovulated!

KatBeCool · 29/11/2018 13:04

@DuchessofPemberley this was the second time for me when Clear Blue was playing games. And you're right, they aren't cheap. I don't want to play this gamble of whether or not it's going to function anymore.

@FlapJackered I'm sorry, hun. I know the feeling. We'll miss you. But you will get pregnant soon!

@DayDreamer1707 normally once you get a surge you don't need to test but it might happen that you don't ovulate. It's rare though but does happen. This is why temping helps, if it goes up and stays up, you ovulated.

@SophiePie so sorry, hope you're doing ok and your DH is taking care of you.

@Crossfitgirl your chart looks so promising!

@cupcakesandglitter ttc depression certainly sucks. I've been wanting a baby since I was in my early twenties. And now I can't even make it happen. But I must be in some sort of denial as I'm not crying. But seeing other women who are boasting 4-5 kids and pregnant with the 6th and those stupid car stickers, and pregnant everywhere while smoking and drinking, I get sad and angry.

mrsof20118 · 29/11/2018 12:55

So sorry @SophiePie xxx

SullyWifey · 29/11/2018 12:51

@SophiePie sending you all the hugs in the world. Can't imagine how you feel. So sorry darling xxx

starkid · 29/11/2018 12:20

Really sorry to hear that @SophiePie Flowers

ValidUser · 29/11/2018 12:12

@Delilah7 pleeeeease keep us updated!

@SophiePie I'm so sorry. X

Thanks @CookieWaffle - I'm just happy I got checked out.

@Crossfitgirl test test test!!!!

MrsEG · 29/11/2018 12:09

@SophiePie I’m so sorry. I’ve been there and I know just how you are feeling. Don’t be surprised if some days you don’t want to see or speak to anyone and on those days just stay in bed and stick to your guns. My GP signed me off for 2 weeks to just rest and relax - definitely try and pop in to see yours for the same. I don’t think I could have faced work much sooner than I did. I’m so sorry and just take each day as it comes. Xx
