Can anyone give me any guidance please? I've been temping for a while but don't think it's accurate really as I said, I don't hear a beep after 5 mins so give up and just record it. Does this chart mean anything? I think I might need to buy a new thermometer. I'm hoping I ovulated when the P+ So fingers crossed I get my period next week or so as I came off the pill kid September and no period since then Angry

@Funkyemzie yes I've not had it at all today so I'm happy that it's gone it was really uncomfortable! Currently 5DPO and I'm feeling less and less positive about this month, not even tempted to test just gonna wait for AF to arrive think I just don't want to get my hopes up to be devastated.

Funkyemzie · 23/11/2018 20:56

Sorry guys, just read that message again and made that sound like a competition...totally not my intention.

It's been a rocky journey, physically and emotionally but I feel when I haven't spoken on a thread I don't have any right to if that makes sense? Anyway, I'm waffling! 😂

Funkyemzie · 23/11/2018 20:40

Hi all!!!

Feel like a big of an old timer on these posts. Been ttc since August 2017, 2 MC's and a fibroids diagnosis later ive decided to try and be a bit more bloody optimistic this month.

CD1, OPK's brought, temping everyday and decided on an SMEP plan of action for round.

@MrsP4 I wouldn't worry too much about the pains, it could be a number of things including implantation. Has it got any better?

Hoping to see some wonderful Christmas Bfp's for all of us!!! ❤🎄

Realitysucks · 23/11/2018 19:33

@Monday55 so sorry to hear that, I came on to moan about being on CD17 and not having had any ovulation symptoms yet Flowers

unicornxo · 23/11/2018 14:39

@Beaglemum93 the same happened to me in October. It's really rubbish isn't it? Fingers crossed for this cycle 😘

Beaglemum93 · 23/11/2018 11:58

Hi all! Can I join?

Age 31
TTC #1
Cycle 5
CD 3
AF due Dec 16th

I was quietly confident about the last cycle as my pre-AF symptoms were different, but hey ho, onwards and upwards! DH was really disappointed though, I don’t think he expected it to take this long for anything to happen. Fingers crossed for an Xmas BFP for all of us!

Kaye03 · 23/11/2018 08:57

Ive still got another week of the waiting game. Driving myself crazy by trying to find symptoms. Even though i know it will be too early for there to be any. 🤪

Monday55 · 23/11/2018 08:43

AF is here ! never been so happy to see her. Thanks @Littlelemur you might have put some luck on it.

Cycle #1
CD1
.
Onto my next rant. OH had taken next week off work hoping it will be my fertile window as He's currently working away so I only see him on weekend. However, because AF was late it's now ruined everything as I doubt I'll ovulate next week now, most likely will ovulate 1st week of December.

.
I'm not too disappointed as part of me would love to have a drink over Xmas and New Years.

.
@bunhead34 I'm planning to try preseed this cycl

goldflakepaint · 23/11/2018 00:30

@LittleLemur I'm starting a bit later in my cycle too as I just ordered BBT from Amazon today, arriving by Sunday so I will be CD4. Having a quick look though TCOYF, I think starting a bit later is fine as long as you have at least six days of temping before O so you can establish your cover line? I think that's right anyway, the book is huge!

@WIldFlower2018 We've been using Conceive Plus for 3-4 cycles and obviously not pregnant yet. But as a consolation prize, we've found that just the right amount feels great for both of us! (sorry if TMI!). There are some success stories on Amazon though last time I checked.

MrsP4 · 22/11/2018 21:23

Thank you @WildFlower2018 4DPO and I've had some sharp stabbing pains today really low down! Never had this before posted on another thread but no ones replied, I don't know whether to be concerned or not. Only other thing I've had is sore/sensitive nipples day 1.2 and 3DPO but eased off today. Is anyone else having any of these symptoms?

Queenofmyownheart · 22/11/2018 21:22

Hello All! Can I join please? Hopping on and off buses so often I need a bloody day rider ticket 😂

Cycle 300000000 or at least feels like it 😂 no idea in reality.

Thought November was my month but BFNs at 14dpo & AF feeling imminent means I'm going for a Xmas BFP. Am trying to convince myself it's for the best, means I'll be able to have the odd cheeky wine over Xmas, that and I need to stop the hormontional crying or DP May leave me 😂😂😂😂

bunhead34 · 22/11/2018 20:57

@WildFlower2018 I tried pre-seed this month and no luck (currently hosting Aunt Flo 😭)
Also tried smep last month!
I think next month I will just take it easy and DTD every 2-3days 🤷🏼‍♀️

WildFlower2018 · 22/11/2018 20:09

@MrsP4 in the nicest possible way, fingers crossed your thermometer is a total waste of money 🤞😁

MrsP4 · 22/11/2018 20:02

Ive used conceive plus this month@WildFlower2018 can't say if it's worked yet though only on 4DPO I've bought a thermometer for next month going to try temping, I've bought it for next cycle even though I don't know if I'm going to need it! Really hoping for BFP But it's there anyway incase AF decides to show her ugly face.

WildFlower2018 · 22/11/2018 19:35

@LittleLemur thanks, I think that's what I'll do. Well, in theory 🤣🤣 I'm very impatient too!!! In fact, I could probably convince myself to take one now "just to see" and I haven't even ovulated yet this month 🤣🤣 I'm joking of course!

@mussie thanks for confirming I'm on the right bus! Sorry this month is turning out to be a dud xx

Is anybody on here doing SMEP? I've also bought some conceive plus. Again, anybody tried that?

ronniemipperton · 22/11/2018 19:23

Thanks @LittleLemur and @WildFlower2018. I am slightly less grumpy today!

@Pinacolada1234 I just got mine from Boots but it works well. Doesn’t take too long to reach its conclusion.

LittleLemur · 22/11/2018 18:23

@WildFlower2018 I don't really have a system at the moment - I tend to just test when the impatience takes over! But what you've said sounds good - no testing before 7 days PO and only using FRER to confirm if the cheapies show a positive...or I'd use FRER if AF is very late and the cheapies are still negative.

@goldflakepaint we certainly will! My thermometer arrived this morning so I'll be starting temping a little late into my cycle (CD5), but I'm sure it'll be fine.

@Monday55 sorry your cycle is being a pain. I hope it figures itself out soon!

@Pinacolada1234 that sounds strange. I tried my new one this evening and it seems to take a while to settle on a temperature, but not that long. I found I had to really hold it still because my tongue kept moving it, which changed the temp slightly each time. This is the one I've ordered: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B074185J73/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?psc=1&tag=mumsnetforum-21&ie=UTF8

Pinacolada1234 · 22/11/2018 17:45

Hello, I am currently trying out temping but not sure my thermometer is working really as it doesn't beep once it's been in my mouth and after 5 mins I give up and just use that temperature.
Which thermometer do you use? Might try another one.

Monday55 · 22/11/2018 17:21

Update from I: Currently CD35 and its turning out to be the longest cycle I've ever had as AF was due Monday 19th. If this carries on I might miss the Xmas bFp Sad

goldflakepaint · 22/11/2018 16:00

Hi everyone, can I join too? CD1 for me, ready to start the rollercoaster again.

Age: 33
TTC #1
Cycle 9 (been trying for 8 months, shortish cycles)
AF/BFP due 15th Dec- but this is an estimate as my period has arrived earlier or later before.

@purplequalitystreet @Little Lemur I'm also trying temping this month, we'll figure it out together. I have 'Taking Charge of Your Fertility' but haven't started reading it yet- info from @mussie very helpful. Not looking forward to having to wake up at the same time each morning, a lie in is one of the few pleasures of still being childless!

@veeboo Great news on your DP's SA, must be a relief. Can I ask how long you were trying before you requested SA from GP? I would quite like DP to be checked out but we have been trying a bit less than a year so have assumed he would just get sent away.
