Just checking in and saying hello!

Having a really crap day. I'm feeling extrememly sorry for myself, and convinced I'm never going to be a mum. This is the start of 9th cycle sine mc, and I feel old and barren. I may have to go and live in the hut for a while.

How are you, Nomore? My mmc was a partial mole (suspected} and I'm still having the monitoring. But, when we saw the 8+4 scan, there was the right sized baby with a hb, so.....

Love to everyone.

fifilou · 04/07/2007 14:05

Thanks treenie, its so hard not to think about it, its on my mind all of the time when im on my own, luckily the school hols start tomo and i'll have the boys to occupy for ten hours a day, so there wont be time to come on here or think about it, which is a good thing i think in a way!

Sorry Fi been trying to work. Poor you. You really are suffering aren't you. It's a waiting game when you come off the pill. Could take a while but I'd say if no af in a week and no BFP then you have to go to the docs for a blood test.
Try to relax. It might be better if it was next month anyway cause then you'd have had a true period which is meant to be a good thing - that's what I'm telling myself anyway.
When I came off the pill the last time my af arrived on CD34 so I'm not testing again until Tuesday, which will be CD34. If no af by then then I'll start feeling hopeful.

Really don't worry. It can take a while to get it all back to normal after the pill - you're not alone in feeling this way.

hi ladies......and hello clearbluefairyjunior.......youre so funny!

treenie, i think ive beat you on the mental nutter testing front- Ive now tested 4 times (fi bangs her head with her hand...doh,doh,doh!)

ive just heard from a mn pal that she didnt get a positive for a month! Arggghhhh!

Im not convinced im preg, not at all. my boobs are fine, but no sign of AF at all and am now day cd34! feel sick still and tired, but am now worried im giving myself these symptoms! Its probably all to do with my ear problem and im getting all confused!
Babybrat- its unfair of docs/nurses to say these things but i guess they have to?

Gets the hopes up hey?

Anyway....am going to drink tea and dream of sawyer like the wise fairy told me too.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....sawyer.........!

Ok here is the full extent of my madness when it comes to symptom spotting! I woke up this morning with a really achy, crampy feeling in my left leg - yes that was leg, not tummy, not boobs - leg! And have now convinced myself it is a sign after reading about leg cramps and increased pressure on varicose vains in early pregnancy!
Hands up if you think Treenie is a nutter! (She say frantially waving her hands in the air!)

Nomore - your will power amazes me and inspires me. You know I'm not bad with the chocolate - can abstain from that - but not it seems from little plastic sticks!

Kensgirl - what a pain in the t*ts about your af and being on cd 1. Feeling I maybe joining you on the af wagon in a few days.

BB - feeling any more pregnant today? How's yer cervix love?!

Hello to everyone else!
Bloody hell I have to do some work! DH gave me a row for being so preggie obsessed and not doing anything remotely work related - he is so right but I can't help it!

The only good sign I can really see (apart from the legs!) is that I burst into tears this morning when Alan Jonhon's (journo who was taken hostage in Gazza and has just been realised) parent's were talking on the bbc. Am not a crier - tough old bag me - so this was out of the ordinary and I've heard preggies cry more! So boo hoo all the way!

Hi girls, sorry for the "post and run" earlier, I was at work!
bb - fingers crossed it's good news about your cervix (see what you mean about what we say to each other that we'd never say in RL!)
treenie - I know what it's like wanting to test, but don't get too obsessed! Hope your BFP is just around the corner
fi - sorry you're not well, earache's horrible
mistlethrush - hope you get a good night's sleep tonight
kensgirl - sorry it's cd1 (didn't realise your m/c was a molar pg either )
poppy - I think spending the money on choc instead of pg tests is a great idea! I have 3 tests in my bedside drawer, haven't used one since Sept though. No choc bar ever lasts that long in my house!
ready, bella, PE, gilly - how are you all doing?
everyone else

Off to bed now, night night x

kensgirl · 03/07/2007 21:38

My cycle is usually 23 days then 25 days alternate months. This month i tried charting and think it confirmed that I ovulat when I think I do, with about a 23 0r 13 day LP.

Thinking of trying accupunture now..

baby bratt - did your GP say come back in a couple of cycles to get it up to a certain number......? This is my 9th cycle starting since mc, but only 6.5 months. Not sure waht to do.

Hope you are Ok , big hug to my molar pregnancy buddy x

MaureenMLove · 03/07/2007 20:30

Hey Fifi, just thought I'd let you know I'm looking in on your thread sweetpea. I didn't like the thought that you might think I was evesdropping, even though until I posted this you wouldn't have known anyway, but ykwim! (I'm seriously mental I think!) Also thought that you wouldn't want to discuss too much in the staff room!
And to all of you, best wishes and lots of luck x!

poppy75 · 03/07/2007 19:53

I can't keep up with all the postings.

you are so right could not imagine discussing all this in RL thank god for MN.

I work in a department where we do Acu for pain and so I went on the internet and looked up good points for fertility. My work mates have given me three sessions of ACu and it really relaxes you. However my friend who gave it to me is now pregnant so I don't know if the vibes went the wrong way!!!! (only joking) I know a few people who swear by it for fertility. I feel alittle obsessed asking them to do it in our lunchbreak so I have stopped arranging it. Am in two minds as to try it again or not.

Clearbluefairyjunior - you are so right but it is so tempting however it gets quite expensive so I am now investing money in chocolate instead

clearbluefairyjunior · 03/07/2007 18:33

Wise words from the clearbluefairy -

By ClearBlueFairy on Tue 05-Dec-06 21:38:43

Hello ladies!! I am the ClearBlueFairy, and I have been sent to watch over all you wonderful, gorgeous ladies!!
When you feel the urge to test before AF is due, count to ten and step away from the ClearBlue !! Have a warm cuppa and daydream about Sawyer from Lost (or someone you find attractive!) and take your mind off it!! Or why not come on to MN and I will sprinkle you with some common sense dust

A very wise woman once wrote - "Remember ladies that the percentages of those who get their BFPs on set dpo are as follows:
10dpo=35%/11dpo=51%/12dpo=62%/13dpo=68%/14dpo=74%/15dpo=80%/16dpo=88%/17dpo=92% and there are some who have not got their BFP until 21dpo!!"
Armed with those percentages you should never want to test early and risk all that (perhaps)unnecessary disappointment!

I can't stand to see all those understandably downtrodden women after that dreaded BFN... and some of those wonderful ladies will go on to get their BFP and needn't have put themselves through all that angst and worry!!

Come on now... save your money... When the FirstResponseDevil is calling out your name... Just say NO!!!

Fingers crossed for lots of BFPs really soon for you all!!!! But remember, The ClearBlueFairy is always watching * * * * * * * * * * * *

Treenie · 03/07/2007 18:27

thought you might all like to have a look at this. Can't do links so copy and paste. I'm going to give it a try I think if this month is unlucky.

clearbluefairyjunior · 03/07/2007 18:27

clearbluefairy is the scariest! Just wait til she tells you off! I'm only in training
You do know we are doing this to save you the heartache of BFN, not because we don't want you to get BFP. We love BFPs, especially when they are really big and really fat !

mistlethrush · 03/07/2007 17:15

Treenie - yes, mixed up, confused etc. Probably like a lot of other people here!

BB - just got back from accupuncture - feeling a lot more chilled out - wait and see how it affects my sleep, but feels good!

Treenie · 03/07/2007 17:05

clearbluefairyjunior - so there is a whole family of you out there floating around waiting to help idiots like me?! Thanks!
I know you are right but I just don't know when af is late because I've just come off the pill - that's my pathetic excuse anyway!
x

clearbluefairyjunior · 03/07/2007 17:00

You mustn't test early it only leads to dissapointment and until AF arrives you can't know for sure that you're not pg.
Please wait until AF is late before testing. It's for your own good!

Treenie · 03/07/2007 17:00

Ah thanks BB! So do you my dear.
Not feeling v positive but glad I come accross that way. Don't feel preggers at all. And having just come of the pill I don't even know when ruddy af is due. Today is CD 27 so thought and early test might work - silly me. Could be another week still before I know one way or the other.
Boo hoo!
Don't think cm is like spreadable cheese - just body lotion at the mo. It is ridiculous what we talk about on here isn't it?! But you know what it helps and that's all that counts. And to be honest I'd discuss anything with anyone right now if it helped me get a wee bambino in there!
x

BabyBratt · 03/07/2007 16:50

Treenie you make me laugh , I did not ask the position to be honest after her comment my head was spinning. Sorry for the detail but I think it was because my cervix bled more than anything but who knows. I got some good quality CM yesterday and today Im around CD19. I get the thick stuff literally a few hours before AF it looks a little like soft spreadable cheese rather than a lotion at that stage (it really makes me laugh you guys know more about my bodily fluids than my BF).

Im going to stick with trying all the natural stuff but like you say it is good to have the medical stuff working alongside. definitely fancy acupunture though

I must say Treenie you have a lovely way with words and seem to stay positive all the time which is a brilliant trait.

Treenie · 03/07/2007 16:10

BB that is all good news one way or the other. if you are preggers then that is amazing but if not at least you've got the ball rolling. And you've only explored the natural option, which I know is the one you want, but if all else fails there is IVF etc. This is way to early on in the game to be thinking the worst by a long way.
Wonder what she meant by position - did she tell you want position it was in? So I can rush off now and check?!
Now the CM - do you just get it before your af - cause I've had mine since Friday and af isn't due for a few days yet. I read somewhere that creamy cm is a good sign - mine is like very fancy crabtree and evelyn hand cream I'll have you know! TMI I know!

Fi my lovely keep testing but don't freak out. I know you are feeling shit and the ear thing doesn't help but you and I are just at the beginning of a potentially very slow, long journey - we need preserve fuel just in case it's a round the world affair!
But am still hoping it's a day trip to blackpool at the mo IYSWIM?!

Mistlethrush I don't know what to say my dear. You sound a bit confused and frustrated - like if someone was to wave a magic wand and say it would all work out you'd love to be preggers but without that reassurance you are too worried something will go wrong? I don't know what to say really other than go with your gut instinct.

Have just done another test! What was I thinking?! I am the mad tester of the thread that's for sure! And you can guess the result - why do I do it to myself?!
x

BabyBratt · 03/07/2007 15:54

Hi Fi

sorry you have probably said this futher down in the threads but how far along are you? It may take you a while to get your positive. Alot of my friends had to do more than one test.

We are in similar positions as the nurse told me this morning I might be pregnant, do you think they realise the effect their words have on us.

I am only a couple of days past ovulation so Im in for a long two weeks. I think after 8 months I am starting to feel like it will never happen for me but I have everything crossed for you.

mistlethrush · 03/07/2007 13:55

Fi sorry that you're not feeling well and hope that you feel better soon. Can you do anything to help with the earache - its a bit like tooth ache in terms of not being able to think about anything else, so I can sympathise with you.

You never know, all that running might just have done the trick for you - fingers crossed. Can't really do anything other than follow her advice, although blood tests can pick smaller changes sooner if you're being driven out of your mind with not knowing either way.

Makes me remember peculiar situation I was in last Autumn - after mc took a long time to get back to normal and went to dr about it, concerned that molar pregnancy reoccuring - he said test and let me know - did test - not enough to say definite blue line, but there enough to not be able to say that it wasn't - very worrying. Ended up having scan in epu which was good, but blood test showed HCG levels still up. had to go back for another blood test following week and had surreal conversation with person giving results following day from epu... 'I'm sorry Mrs..., you're not pregnant' - 'Hurrah' - '?' - 'havn't you read my notes....?'. Thinking about this reiterates the peculiar position I find myself, largely wanting to get pregnant again, but still with large worry and concern about the potential for this to happen again.

Never mind, no point dwelling on that at the moment - ds waking me up in the early hours every morning at the mo, so the chances of getting any action again this month are fairly slight!

fifilou · 03/07/2007 12:41

hi ladies, am just back from docs and feeling crappy.

ive had this stupid reaccuring ear infection since march due to a large perferation in my ear drum. so, am now on my 7th (yup 7TH) ourse of nitbiotics. Poo.

I was having awful back ache, cramps in my tummy, and feeling shattered so the doc had a bit of a feel about and said i was a bit swollen in my tummy and when i told her about coming off the pill, she said i could be pregnant as my symptoms seemed pretty clear. and to test again,(me over excited and smiling away) which i did, and nothing at all. BFN.
She said to keep testing each week until i got my AF. Weird?

She was lovely, but im all confused and feel like im going bonkers. My ear pain isnt helping and to top it all off I feel sooooooo sick!

god what a moaner i am.......feel much better now its all out though....and breathe!

BabyBratt · 03/07/2007 11:55

Treenie I forgot to say in my previous essay but I have heard great things about acupuncture. I had a course years ago on a knee joint after a car accident and it really helped.

Im glad you ask about CM because mine has been the same lotiony texture, so maybe that is normal. Although it does get thicker just before AF and I know then it is coming in the next hour or so.

Can you imagine talking to people in RL like we do in here, I struggled talking to the doctor today.

BabyBratt · 03/07/2007 11:45

Hello

Doctor totally unsympathetic. He was really difficult to talk to and at one point I thought I might break into tears. But he did give me a card to go and get my bloods done to test for thyroid etc. Blood pressure was really high, but my weight etc is good for my height. He told me to look at our lifestyle as I need to relax more and he wants to keep an eye on my blood pressure but he thinks it might be white coat syndrome!, sent me to the nurse for a full examination down below.

He wants me to do another 2 cycles and then I have to go for a 21 day blood test and then one a week upto AF and DH needs to provide 2 sperm samples a week apart.

When I went to the nurse the weirdest thing happened!! She took some swobs even though I've had all these test before and they were clear but it is best to be safe than sorry. But here is the thing she asked me if I was pregnant because of the position of my cervix and they bled which is apparently most common in women on the pill or pregnant women!!! I am now trying not to get my hopes up but I think she may have butchered me down there because I am now very achy (so that may have caused me to bleed)

Im so confused because I want to stay grounded but I can't help feel a little excited. but I know when AF turns up I will be gutted.

Although it would make me smile if I caught when we weren't supposed to be ttc.
