new thread here

Treenie · 13/07/2007 18:29

Oh BB I'm so gutted for you. Can we just not rule anything out till tomorrow though please. Cramps and spotting are a sign of pregnancy too you know - of course you know!
Do you usually spot? I never do. Always full flow straight away. If this is not the norm for you then don't give up hope yet.

Will be back tomorrow with any updates!

Good luck BB - will be thinking of you.

toomuchtimeonline · 13/07/2007 18:03

Oh BB I'm sorry - it aint over till the AF lady sings though..

I'm off home now so probably won't be able to post until Monday as the thread is too large for me to load on my mobile! If there are any bfps - start a new thread so I can see - pleeeeeeeeease!!

Good luck to everyone this weekend!!

BabyBratt · 13/07/2007 17:37

Please dont be sad for me ladies but I am really crampy and spotting a little. I have a feeling that tomorrow I will be on CD1.

I really got my hopes up this month but only because of what the nurse said and that funny taste in my mouth. But now I understand why I have not let myself hope too much in previous months.

I am feeling really down my LP was only 13 days, is this ok? I cannot remember.

I might go and drown my sorrows in a glass of wine just because I can now.

Treenie that sounds so hopeful I could do with some good news, if it positive you will have to pop back to the threads to let us know your progress.
Spugs & Toomuch good luck bfp may be a couple of days away!!

Here is to cycle 10 (or is it 9 I will have to look in my diary) !!!!!!!!!!!!

Treenie · 13/07/2007 15:33

Thanks Spugs! Yes I've calculated that I would be due around mid-March if preggers now. Which would be so lovely as then I'd have the whole summer to push him or her around in it's pram - OK getting way to far ahead of myself now!
Will keep you posted.

spugs · 13/07/2007 15:22

Im crampy, like af fairly painful but this is normal when im pg. As for boobs Im flat chested they have been a bit painful but not bad. Good luck for your tests sounds very hopeful. Would we all be due at the same time 20/03/08?

Treenie · 13/07/2007 15:06

Fingers crossed for you too! I really hope we both are too! Will keep you posted!

toomuchtimeonline · 13/07/2007 15:03

I'll have to start taking more of an interest in my boobs I think !

I know I love MN - you feel like you know each other so well becuase you are sharing such a special thing!

Hope I join you with a BFP soon so we can keep chatting like this about being pregnant!

Touching wood and got everything crossed for you that it is definitely a BFP!

Treenie · 13/07/2007 15:00

Sounds promising toomuch so don't give up. Are your boobs more veiny or your nipples bigger? Can't quite believe I just asked you that but you know what I mean! Those are def signs and I think I have them!
Going to get a couple of more expensive ones later when dh comes home with the car. I've heard boots own are good so will get a couple of them.
Thanks again for all your positivity. Really nice that people you've never met before can be so enthusastic for you isn't it?

toomuchtimeonline · 13/07/2007 14:56

I have a low level crampy awareness - it's not really getting worse and doesn't hurt.. so not sure! My boobs feel a bit tender but that could just be AF so not sure..

Are you going to buy a different brand of test to put your mind at ease? Since there's a good chance of a BFP now I reckon a splurge in boots is probably ok.. Got everything crossed for you!

Treenie · 13/07/2007 14:53

Thanks my dear but not singing from the roof tops just yet. By the way, the crampy pains are nothing to worry about - can be a really good sign.
When I get af cramp it gets worse and worse till af comes and then tails off. This month I've had pains that I thought were af at least five times and said to dh that I was sure it was on its way and then the pains stopped. Are you the same?
And have you been looking at your boobs? they are meant to show changes very early on I think so keep an eye out for any differences.

toomuchtimeonline · 13/07/2007 14:49

So pleased for you!

Treenie · 13/07/2007 14:48

Thanks toomuch! Not wanting to get hopes up yet. Won't be happy till I get a strong line in the space of a few mins - then I'll know for sure. But Spugs has given me hope.
Will keep you posted!

toomuchtimeonline · 13/07/2007 14:46

Treenie - sounds like good news!!! Why don't you go and buy a more expensive one to double check so that you can fully celebrate? Really pleased for you!! I've read a few times that a positive is a positive.. but since I'm new to this I don't really know!!

Treenie · 13/07/2007 14:45

Thanks Spugs and congrats to you my dear!
Going to test again tomrrow but you know what this waiting game is like!
All the best of luch with your pregnancy!

spugs · 13/07/2007 14:42

oo may well be. When i got a bfp with dd1 i thought it hadnt worked and had chucked it in bag and gone to work. Was at least 30 min later when i looked and bfp as for faint line i got one today after about 2/3 min so now classing myself as pg (even if just for time being )

Treenie · 13/07/2007 14:40

Ok I have a question? If you see a faint line about 10 - 15 mins after weeing on the test can that be classed as a positive?!

Bought a pack of Sainsburys tests last week. Did one mega early and it was completely negative - not a single hit of a line in the box - nothing. Chucked it back in the packet for some reason and back in the drawer - I know that sounds minging and I should have put it in the bin but I didn't.
Anyway, did the second test from the packet today and is showed a mega faint but entirely visable blue line. Got the old one out and it still looked blank.
So I'm thinking surely if there was going to be an evaperation line show up on these tests it would have appeared on the week old one ages ago? I.e. the one I did today was a positive just took a while to show up?

Longwinded I know but it needed some explaining! What does anyone think?
Thanks!

toomuchtimeonline · 13/07/2007 14:13

p.s. I think LP is luteal phase - i.e. the time from ovulation until AF which Treenie kindly informed us all yesterday is usually about 12 - 14 (I think..) days long and does not usually change in length.. i.e. the length of your cycle changes due to the time to ovulation not the LP length

toomuchtimeonline · 13/07/2007 14:11

Hi PM [big wave] - you're my CD buddy!! I know I should wait but I just know that I won't be able to - so rather than test every day for the next 5 I've given myself one test on Saturday and then I have to wait for my AF - twisted logic I know.. I will try on Saturday to not think about it and not do one.. I promise.. TBH I feel more and more crampy as the day goes on so pretty convinced AF is on its way!

PinkMartini · 13/07/2007 12:44

Weird, thought I'd posted earlier, wonder what happened?
Anyway, was just saying am CD26 and still no AF but feel certain she'll be here any moment now.
Still wishing and hoping but trying not to if that makes sense as don't want to be disappointed.

BB Sorry to hear about your mate - that's rough.

Fi - I love your story! [romantic emoticon]

Toomuch - just stick to the spritzers tomorrow
and resist the test - BFNs are too depressing, no?

Everyone else - hello, how are you?

Also, can someone please tell ignorant me what the LP phase is?

toomuchtimeonline · 13/07/2007 11:13

Sorry Treenie - cross posted! Hope your signs are good news! I'm feeling every twinge at the moment! Do you know anything about the hormone levels from implanation i.e. how soon after you're likely to test positive? God this is all so exciting..

As I said I feel a bit crampy today.. is that good or bad? When I was on the pill I had zero symptoms - I flew through the month bled for 1 week and maybe had 1 day where I felt a bit irritable but no body symptoms.. so don't know if this is just my body gearing up for AF..

toomuchtimeonline · 13/07/2007 11:10

Treenie - thanks for that - I know I am going to be bad and test tomorrow just becuase I have this party thing - but then I think I'm going to leave it until next Saturday because then my AF may arrive before that and save me another BFN!!

I'm feeling quite crampy today so think my AF may be on its way.. it's so hard as I don't know what my body should feel like having been on the pill for so long

Fi - good news on the ovulation!! I was so excited only holiday when I got my surge!! What CD are you? Good luck with the bding! And love your mushy story - it's so sweet!! Just think if you conceive this month you can look back at that lovely evening as the moment of conception! Lovely

BB - got everything crossed for you that your AF doesn't arrive this weekend!

Poppy - [big wave] - glad to see another long term pill user on here to compare notes with! Don't know anything about temping as haven't tried it yet so can't help on that - but thought I'd say hello

Everyone else! Hello [big hugs] how are you all doing?

PM - any news?

Treenie · 13/07/2007 11:09

Oh Fi you are such an old romantic! Good for you my dear! Let's hoped it worked - the bding and the wishing! x

Poppy - I don't temp so BB is your gal for that. I'm into natural signs. When I ov nipples get very tingly and I get crampy pains and twinges. Had any of them? Anyway, nice to see you back on here and keep us posted - anything you need advice with we will try our best. Not experts but all equally obbsessed so there is fair bit of knowledge kicking about on here!

BB - are you also going round the twist?! CD39 and no sign of af! Few twinges in tummy and boobs and mildly achy back but nothing else.
One thing I have noticed though are the veins - can really see them on my chest, legs and arms. Really hope it's a good sign?!
Want to hang off on testing for as long as poss cause I would rather see AF than a false negative. Only had the spotting yesterday morning so don't think there would be enough of the hormone in my system now anyway.

Sorry for rattling on - can you tell I'm a wee bit worked up?! My mum is staying and she thinks these are all good signs - hope she's right! She's as excited as me!

BB have you tested yet or managed to wait?
What updates from you - any more signs?

Hello to everyone else!

Hi Poppy

You temp goes up when you ovulate. Your temp should then stay up until the end of your LP phase at which time if it goes down your AF arrives and if it stays up you are pregnant. That is how I know I am coming on because my temp drops and my AF comes a few hours afterwards. Hope that makes sense

You need to make sure your BDing before your temp goes up because once it is up it can be a bit late.

Your temp may only go up 0.2oC after ovulation. I normally pee on a stick (OPK) that shows my serge I normally get that for 2/3 days and then my temp goes up so I know I've ovulated.
