We're very close to maxing-out our previous thread, so time to start afresh 🙂

To borrow the intro from @Blondcat (our old threads founder):

A wonderful bunch of ladies supporting each other through the ttc journey when trying for a first baby after 35.

Good luck all!! 🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻

Great news @Blondcat and @Russkispy Smile

Don’t worry @Carley321 you can can enjoy Xmas properly and get back to it straight after 🎉

I had a peak reading on the cb monitor this morning. Checked on a cheapie last night and the line was pretty dark. Checked again with another cheapie this eve and the line isn’t as dark as yesterday, but still darkish. No chance to dtd today, but managed the last 2 nights and not sure I fancy it again tonight lol 😝 I take a cranberry tablet every time as i’m so paranoid of uti’s and tmi, but I don’t want to end up sore. I don’t think my body can cope with ttc! Confused

QuantumGirl · 06/12/2018 19:01

@Carley321 as Bambi said, this is the beginning of the normality for you, more smileys will come soon. You have New Years shagathon to worry about. In the meantime enjoy every single drink and cheese you can have 🥳🥂🧀

BambiOnIce80 · 06/12/2018 18:24

Don't beat yourself up @Carley321 💐 It sounds like it could have caused you an awful lot of stress if you'd gone ahead, so now you can eat, drink and be merry with total abandon! 🍾🥂 Hopefully your cycle will get a little shorter again this time and then you'll be all set to try properly again in the New Year 🙂

That’s lovely @RussKispy amazing.

Great news #Blondecat.

Well.... @BambiOnIce80 I sat down and thought about it (obsessed) and couldn’t help thinking, what would I tell people over Xmas! We have made so many plans (because I was defermined not to let ttc stop us) which obviously being around Xmas all include alcohol... how many lies could I actually spin! So held off! And today I’m feeling a little down and kicking myself for it because I have no idea when I’ll get another chance like that considering it’s taken this long to have all symptoms and 2 different positive opks. I’m feeling.... What was I thinking!!

79andnotout · 06/12/2018 14:56

great news @Blondcat and @Russkispy!

terriwrist · 06/12/2018 14:25

@russkispy goodluck.

So I have had my scan today all looking good so far moved me forward by 5 days so 13 weeks tomorrow. Nt measurement was low risk just got to wait for blood and age factors to be combined to get full risk hopefully within next week.

CNizzle · 06/12/2018 12:18

Wow @russkispy exciting! 🤞

MrsRRC · 06/12/2018 12:10

@Pinkywoo #POASProblems I feel your pain! I sleepily went to the loo at about 3am, should have taken a sample then but forgot so had to cross my legs and wait until about 8am to POAS.

Pinkywoo · 06/12/2018 11:45

Fingers crossed @Russkispy!

I've been carrying on with the opks after my early positive, but this morning was half asleep and managed to drop the pot down the loo!

Kescilly · 06/12/2018 11:21

@Russkispy that’s amazing! Go little embryo, go!

@BambiOnIce80 I’m convinced that you’ll end up with a puppy, a kitten, AND a baby. 😂

MrsRRC · 06/12/2018 11:19

Oh @Russkispy how lovely. Wishing you all the luck 🍀

pattyhoo · 06/12/2018 08:52

Good luck @Russkispy

Russkispy · 06/12/2018 08:49

@BambiOnIce80 my IVF is in a private clinic abroad (back at home) where I did all my private treatments. I don't know how NHS funded IVF operate?!

BambiOnIce80 · 06/12/2018 08:33

That is very good news @Russkispy! The video is super cool! 😎 I was wondering the other day if they'd let you see your embryo before it's implanted in an NHS lab... I would totally want in on that! 🤩

@Kescilly, you're absolutely right about levels of optimism being tied into stages of our cycles, I think. I'm fine now, but I know that in a weeks time I'll start feeling AF symptoms and then I'll be wanting to jack it all in again and get a kitten! 😺

What did you decide on @Carley321? DTD or hold off and enjoy Christmas? 🎄

That's great news @Russkispy :)

Russkispy · 06/12/2018 08:06

Better news today! My little embie is progressing nicely and already ahead of today’s stage! Already divided into 5 cells on day 2. My little fighter! I got a video and picture of it! Got all emotional!

Russkispy · 05/12/2018 19:44

Thank you ladies! Will keep you posted! We will get there eventually and all of us on here! I'm convinced!

Carley321 · 05/12/2018 19:31

Thank you ladies 😊. Hope you are all well.

How exciting @kescilly hope you let us all know. Feeling fat? 🙈😊 oh bless you
Lol.

Good luck @Russkispy 🤞🤞

Glad you’re feeling positive @BambiOnICe80 the students must have been feeling your optimism 👍

Kescilly · 05/12/2018 19:28

Good luck on Saturday @Russkispy!

@BambiOnIce80 I will definitely share the results with all of you!

Glad you’re feeling optimistic today. Do you find that it changes as you go through your cycle? I think I always felt more positive in the days closer to ovulation.

BambiOnIce80 · 05/12/2018 11:56

Crikey @Russkispy, you certainly don't hang about! I love your style! 😍 Keeping everything crossed that the 1 embryo is a sticky embryo 🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀

A Christmas eve gender reveal will probably be way more exciting than Christmas day itself @Kescilly! 😃 Please do share when you know ❤️

In the nicest possible way @MrsRRC, I hope you're not still here in June (I have a sneaky suspicion that I will be though 🙄)! If you are though I will absolutely hook you up with Edinburgh bar/restaurant/things to see and do recommendations 😊

3dpo here (probably/maybe!) and feeling remarkably optimistic today 🙂 I suspect this has more to do with being relieved that I've delivered my last BSc lecture that was hanging over me rather than being anything to do with TTC though 😏 The students even asked relevant questions this time, unlike last time where they sat there slack-jawed and blantly faffing on Facebook! 🤨

Finished my stims and trigger, 5 eggs out of 7 follicles. But only 1 got fertilised. Gutted and deflated but still hoping this is THE one! Embryo transfer on Saturday.

Kescilly · 05/12/2018 08:40

@MrsRRC we went for my birthday last June! It was just for a weekend but it was my first time being in Scotland at all and I loved it. I especially loved how long the days were, we’d go for long walks after dinner when the streets were emptier and it was quite beautiful.

I’m glad that you feel a little more energetic this time around. Personally I’m a big fan of Vitamin D supplements year round. I was deficient even in sunny climes, so I know I’m not getting enough here. Plus I don’t think the milk is fortified with it here like it is in the US?

@PixieN time to get busy! I usually had two or three highs before my first peak.

I think we’d both like a girl, so of course I’m convinced it will be a boy. 😂
