Yammers thread 9!

Yammer rules:

A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement. Please read the rules before posting!

  • Thou shalt not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shalt not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

Work is giving me hell today.. boss is being seriously petty! I bet she knows whats up because she was having a go at me about communication. Hmm im having to grit my teeth and bear it!

strawberrye · 14/11/2018 14:56

@ImpatientMammy never heard of using that but I second the grapefruit juice, it definitely works for me.

Glad you are feeling more relaxed @pinkemi

Saw my GP yesterday and she has agreed to do a blood screen for causes of infertility/miscarriage then if all normal to refer us to infertility which is a huge relief. I was so worried she'd send us away because technically have been pregnant 2x but neither of those pregnancies lasted longer than 5-6 weeks and been trying for almost 15 months now.

ivf2019 · 14/11/2018 13:26

Congratulations Limp! Hope you are both doing well! Love the sign!

ImpatientMammy I've not tried benylin but EPO and grapefruit juice seem to give me lots more EWCM - purely anecdotal of course but I do constantly have a fridge full of grapefruit juice these days Grin

Pinkemi · 14/11/2018 11:33

@ImpatientMammy I once bought fertility tea off Amazon.. it tasted quite nice!

Hope everyone is doing okay.. I got the date of my first scan through.. so feeling much more relaxed.

Sending you guys all my hugs etc etc!

Chooklass · 14/11/2018 08:23

@ImpatientMammy I thought I'd heard all the crazy TTC tricks by now 😂. Benlyn!! I love the taste of it! I've heard of evening primrose oil and grapefruit being used to increase cm? And drinking more water (I'm trying to do that this cycle).

Entering FW here. Even shaved my legs this morning - lucky DP!

Annoyingly, my GP hasn't got a letter from consultant about prescribing me progesterone yet so looks like I'll have to wait another cycle.

ImpatientMammy · 13/11/2018 22:06

Has anyone tried benylin to increase Cm?

@Chooklass It's called fertili tea in the gold bag the ingredients match up with a lot I've read online. I'm a pretty fussy tea drinker though and my dr basically said it will work if it relaxes me and if I believe it will work 🙈 x

Chooklass · 13/11/2018 20:54

@ImpatientMammy what tea is it? I love all that kind of stuff! Hate to think how much I've spent TTC so far 🙈

@maddiie oooh fx fx lovely

Sooooo not much to report here, had my tell tale migraine this morning and so now fully expecting af to show this week Sad

Chooklass · 13/11/2018 17:23

@LimpLettice HUGE congratulations!!!! I'm so glad to hear this!

The sign MUST be an omen right?! Hilarious!

@LimpLettice Congrats on the birth of your DS! Love the sign!

DH dropped off his sperm sample this morning so hopefully won't be too long until we hear back from that. I've stopped sulking over my BFN now, I've got the clomid ready to start so just bring on AF!!

LimpLettice · 13/11/2018 11:04

Hello Yammers. Sorry to see so many familiar faces still here. Take heart ladies, I've seen an omen. Had my little DS on Friday, and spent the day on post natal. Sign above my bed caught my eye and I meant to post it here:

Hope yous are doing ok I've just spent £40 on some fertility tea from America for next cycle. Preying I'm pregnant by then and it's a waste of money. Hope the BFNs are just to early to know.

Owlpatrol · 12/11/2018 19:20

@Pinkemi oh I wish Sad sadly I doubt it!

Pinkemi · 12/11/2018 18:47

Whats "taking it easy" like? 😉 sorry about the cramps @owlpatrol. Hopefully its just bad wind?!

Pinkemi · 12/11/2018 18:45

Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone in their TWW!

Owlpatrol · 12/11/2018 18:44

I hope you're taking it easy missy!! @Pinkemi to be fair I need to do some jobs but it's been a long day.

I am feeling a bit sorry for myself now, cramps are getting slightly worse so I have that sudden feeling I'm out. You know that 4 days pre fp due feeling? I feel fat and bloated and miserable Sad pass the mince pies already! I was tempted to test again say Thursday but I think I'll just wait out as expecting spotting some day soon

Pinkemi · 12/11/2018 18:44

@Justliketheysaid honestly ive had a bit of a nightmare with my clinic not ordering my progesterone tablets when they said they would.. which meant i had to go in this morning before work to pick some up.. so now feeling VERY tired! But its hopefully all sorted now so trying to stress less! 😂

I say that.. but im trying to organise if i can go to a spa day for a hen party im on in a few weeks time. Anyone been to thermal baths? Just called the spa and they said they are safe for a pregnant lady as the water is cooler than a bath (33.5 degrees) but.. im not allowed to have baths at the moment.. so just not sure what to do! Confused (yeah im talking about this again. Haha)

JustLikeTheySaid · 12/11/2018 17:28

How are you getting on Pinkemi?

Well into the TWW now. Not feeling particularly hopeful but I'm always a LITTLE bit hopeful....

Pinkemi · 12/11/2018 17:16

Hope you ladies all had a better monday than I seem to have had! just a general nightmare! Very much looking forward to just going home and flopping infont of the tv.

Oh wait.. I have to washing up to do... cleaning up to do... ironing to do... hoovering to do... [confused.] Most of these will have to wait until tomorrow evening i think! Grin

maddiie · 11/11/2018 18:59

@Owlpatrol I got a BFN today as well after insisting I wouldn't test this time... never gets any easier

Chooklass · 11/11/2018 15:04

Aw I'm sorry @Owlpatrol. It never gets easier seeing a BFN. Hope you've been doing something nice today!

OP posts:
Owlpatrol · 11/11/2018 13:47

Yeah bfn... on an internet cheapie. I thought there might have been a slight shadow but definately optimisitic thinking. 5 days early though so still holding onto some hope. I had a good cry with dp and tried to brush myself off a bit

Symptoms wise I've got some cramping, sadness, sore boobs and achy vag so basically all normal and probably fp on it's way

Chooklass · 11/11/2018 13:24

Have you tested again @Owlpatrol ?

OP posts:
Owlpatrol · 10/11/2018 19:08

I knowwwww everywhere

Right ladies strictly is on but must admit my mind is elsewhere. So I happened to notice that my cm was "a bit" more abundant today. So I thought ah it's because I've been walking round or is it? So I went back and usually by now I've tried up...cycle day 25....but its think and creamy
...hummmm I'm wondering whether to test again tomorrow or not Hmm
