Yammers thread 9!

Yammer rules:

A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement. Please read the rules before posting!

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

  • Thou shalt not arrive one day and post BFP next day
  • Thou shalt not give advice to others when TTC for one month only
  • Thou shalt not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
  • Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
  • Thou shalt not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shalt not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night
  • Thou shalt not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if you do so.

-Thou shalt not post pictures of positive pregnancy tests. We will be delighted to hear about it but no photos, please and thank you

I have no problem telling parents/siblings early. They all know about my losses and plan for IVF. But we are spending Christmas day with my hubby's entire extended family and parents close friends. So probably about 80 people! Not quite ready for that! Although I'm pretty sure I won't be anyway so probably a non issue!

I'm just with family Christmas Day so I'll just tell them if I'm lucky enough. I'd need to tell them if I miscarried anyway. I'm pretty excited. God knows why just setting myself up for a fall I expect 🙄 x

So last night after 3 gins thought it'd be a good idea to tan....sooooo this morning I look like a giraffe Grin cramps have starred this morning so trying to see the one and only positive thing that I don't need to lie at the Christmas party or pretend to drink tonic water. Is that bad of me? I could technically be still in...fp due next week. Next fertile time will be Xmas week!! Great! With a house full of guests and big balloon bellies haha

Ovulation is a few days early for me this month according to the sticks. Haven't had my usual javelin arse pain so I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing?!

I will find out if I'm pregnant or not on Xmas eve. Excellent timing!!!! Or not.....

Sorry to hear some negatives. So lucky we are all in this together, the support makes it a little more bearable.

Thanks ladies it was a negative Sad I am sad but I do have a few days left at due next Thursday so not end of the world. I have a ticket to drink tomorrow but I'll try to go easy just in case! Hope everyone is doing ok x

@Boboelephant well yes and no to the cramps, usually they are worser by now but only very slight twinges, I'm going to test tomorrow as have a party at the weekend that rather a lot of alcohol is due to be consumed so I need to know really! Fingers crossed for you this month! X

Hi @cupcakesandglitter. Your cycle sound so irritating. I'd try and push for more blood tests I think around why your LP is so short.
@Chanel05 welcome. I hear you! I have done and tried everything under the sun. Everything you say and more plus medical tests and all I get told is there's no problem, keep trying. Two fucking years!
@Owlpatrol any cramps? Will you test?
CD16 and waiting for ovulation over here and hoping it happens this weekend rather than buggering off until cd23 like the last 2 months. Especially as I'm on a long haul flight next week and would miss it!

@cupcakesandglitter speak to your GP about it, you don't necessarily need polycystic ovaries on scan if you have irregular periods and other signs/symptoms of pcos it can still be diagnosed

No sorry hun @cupcakesandglitter I've been told I'm "normal" from my blood tests and haven't had a scan, I didn't realise you need a scan to determine pcos so I might see if I can get this. However I am regular like clockwork, and still can't get up duffed

Hi all, I've just got back from my ultrasound to check for PCOS... the nurse said that everything looks good, and that It doesn't look like PCOS. Said there's a little bit of cysts but all looks good. I asked her about irregular periods etc but she said it's probably something else but she doesn't know what..... absolutely fantastic. Now to just wait for my doctors to contact me and palm it off as nothing.

Has anyone had anything like this? Irregular periods etc but not PCOS?

Hi ladies can I join? Cycle 6 and AF arrived this morning and I’m totally hacked off. I’ve tried cheapie opks, digital, lying with my legs in the air, SMEP, dtd every other day, dtd every day, pineapple in lp, pre-seed, temping and have not even had a hint of a second line! Does that qualify?

Not much to report here, trying hard to relax and enjoy December in fact I've been eating my body weight each week and bloody enjoying myself! Work Christmas party this week and I want to test Friday just in case but also want to get really drunk to drown how hard this year has been! Hummmmmm decisions decisions!? Only noticed so far that I haven't had my post ovulation cramps which is super weird. I'm about 7dpo now so would be expecting them over the next few days

Fucking period is great 😂 and I'm so glad you are a bunch of swearers- I feel so polite sometimes but all I want to do is rant about the bitch turning up every month 😡 the month we started TTC this year I went from perfectly regular cycles to 23/38 cycles randomly, and then I had blood tests done last cycle - CD21 I hadn't ovulated, I had a positive OPK on CD26 and then at 5DPO FP turned up 😡

Haha I never realised FP is Fucking Period...I thought you were all being super clever and formal calling it your "Follicular Phase". Fucking Period is much better!
