Hey lethargic, sorry you got a bfn, have you done any more since?

I've ovulated, it's cd16, so my transfer will likely be on Monday, depending on my bloods on Saturday. Come on lucky transfer number 2 🤞

LethargicButAwesome · 22/10/2018 22:56

Good to see things moving along mammy PCOS sucks but sometimes it's good to get some answers, surprised it took so long to diagnose.

How is the blood testing going @catren? Things looking positive for a transfer this weekend!

@maya, if I waited so long to tell my mother she would not be impressed!

I tested on weekend, BFN really thought the itching was a sign - af hasn't arrived yet but not holding out too much hope

Great news mammy, things are now moving and hopefully you'll get some answers! Keep us posted

My update is that my LH rise has been detected today so another blood test on monday and hopefully it means ovulation is happening soon. I'm on cd 12 so much earlier than last month's cd20! Hopeful for a transfer maybe next weekend.

Mammyofasuperbaby · 20/10/2018 07:24

I went to the drs and now feel pretty positive about getting some where with this.
He listened to my history, asked me a few questions and told me he's pretty sure I have pcos. He's ordered full hormonal blood work and an ultrasound to check and then we'll go from there.
He didn't give me anything to start my period as he wants to see what my body is naturally doing
So all in all a positive trip and it only took 12 nearly 13 years to get this far

mayago · 18/10/2018 10:34

Eek, not sure what happened there. Hopefully you're not sitting on your hands too much to test yet! It's so easy to get obsessive. I'd always start testing far too early as I'd convinced myself it was necessary for some reason... The itching is a promising symptom!

@Mammyofasuperbaby I hope you get seen on Friday. That seems a bit of an excessive wait!

@sodababy2 I did try to book a private scan, but I couldn't get timings to work for both DP and I to go.. I might be going for a NIPT, so have decided to save the scan money towards that if we decide to.

@catren Fingers crossed for this cycle! Good testing strategy too! I hope your bloods went well today!

Welcome @EvieV28 and I hope the TWW goes quickly for you!

mayago · 18/10/2018 10:28

@LethargicButAwesome I've told my sister and a few friends, but waiting for the scan really! I'm trying to hold off until December to tell my parents, as we'll be visiting with them then.

LethargicButAwesome · 17/10/2018 22:15

I'm not usually a big symptom spotter for my first pregnancy I had given up and didn't test until I was a week late. The only sign was sore boobs but my back is killing I was almost sick at work after having A tuna melt and cannot shake this itching. Trying not to read too much into it and trying not to test until weekend as cannot face the disappointment have asked my hubby to hide my PG testers as I just become obsessive !

EvieV28 · 17/10/2018 12:51

@LethargicButAwesome I had horrible itching in my first pregnancy too, ugh! Good luck to you! I think I'm only about 3DPO.

LethargicButAwesome · 17/10/2018 07:22

@evie so you are in the dreaded tww, me too - hopefully the wait will not be too long! I'm testing on the weekend if I do not start my period before then!

This itching is v uncomfortable under my coat, even tho I hope I'm pregnant definitely do not want the itching to be pregannacy related! It literally took me to breaking point last time and that was only in the last couple of months!

EvieV28 · 16/10/2018 21:55

@LethargicButAwesome 1st cycle and only ovulated a couple days ago so it's early days!

LethargicButAwesome · 16/10/2018 21:46

@soda excellent news, out of the danger zone am sure your pleased.

@evie, welcome course you can join, bfn are heart wrenching, hopefully will get your BFP soon! When are you sue / what cycle day are you currently on?

EvieV28 · 16/10/2018 16:01

Hi everyone, can I join?
I’m 28, have a 7 year old so TTC #2. We tried before for a few months then stopped as the disappointment was getting to me, fingers crossed this time.

sodababy2 · 16/10/2018 10:23

Hi everyone, just popping in!

I'm 14+6 now and everything currently going well.

@mayago - you've done so well not having a private scan!! I'd had 2 by the time I got the my 12 week scan!

@Mammyofasuperbaby - that's rubbish that your appointment was cancelled. Are you able to book a private appointment to see where you are? Shouldn't be too expensive just for a consultation?

@LethargicButAwesome - fingers crossed for you!

@Catren - so you're getting going straight away on this cycle? That's great you don't have long to wait. Really hope this one works for you.

Rooting for all of us to be able to give our babies much wanted siblings xx

Mammyofasuperbaby · 16/10/2018 09:24

I'm trying to keep myself busy with the many many appointments that my son needs to attend and nursery assesments.
I'm also taking time for myself to start doing some hobbies again.
Had a rough day yesterday. Took DS to see the pediatric ENT and a community midwife asked me if I was waiting for her. I know she was just asking but I could have cried as I'd love nothing more than to be waiting for the midwife. It's silly but kind of threw me

Catren · 16/10/2018 01:19

Eek lethargic that's a bit exciting slash itchy!! I hope it's a sign, that'd be fab. Well done holding back on poas.

My poas strategy this time round will be to still test from 4dp transfer but not to believe any bfps unless they stay strong and are confirmed by the blood test, then I'm sure I I've learned my lesson from last time that a bfp doesn't always equal a pregnancy. Boo!

LethargicButAwesome · 16/10/2018 00:57

@maya have you told anyone yet? Hopefully things will get better when your past the first trimester ...1st one is often the worst...

@mammy that sucks especially as you have been waiting so long for the appointment so strange that your bloods are all fine and no period.

Best of luck @catren, try and relax - really hope ivf is a success this time. Rooting for you !!!

@rightnow, how long are your cycles usually?

I'm due in the next few days, if I go by what's been usual - but nothing usual these days.hoping to test on the weekend, haven't purchased any pg tests in a hope to control my POAS urges...something strange did happen though, I've broken out in a rash, doctor said it's unexplained and can happen due to change in weather-obviously I have been googling like crazy...and many people say they experienced a rash in very early pregnancy. I had a rash /ichness when expecting ds and again at post partum, it was hell - I know I'm clutching at straws and also hope I never have to experience the severe itchiness I did with ds but I am wondering if this could be a sign.

So exciting mayago!

mammy sorry they're messing you round, that must be so frustrating for you. Are you doing anything to try and keep your mind off it? Keep us updated and hope they see you soon to find out what on earth is going on.

I'm waiting to start my blood tests on Thursday to start monitoring for ovulation so no news from here!

Mammyofasuperbaby · 15/10/2018 10:44

Well I've had my drs appointment canceled and put on a list to possibly get seen on Friday.
I've waited nearly a month for that appointment Sad
I'm on day 115 of this cycle and it's getting very frustrating

mayago · 14/10/2018 14:20

I still have nearly a week until booking in! They don't arrange the 12 week scan until then. It really is taking ages.

Symptoms are so much different this time around. Morning sickness and tiredness and heartburn; the works! They really mean it when they say no two pregnancies are the same! I had a much easier time with DD.

LethargicButAwesome · 14/10/2018 00:51

Only two weeks till your scan, much morning sickness? How is first trimester going?

OP posts:
mayago · 12/10/2018 21:03

I'm 9+5 now @LethargicButAwesome It's going so slowly 😂

LethargicButAwesome · 11/10/2018 21:10

@maya thanks :) how far along are you now?? @mammy hope so!! You hear all the time of success stories so hope it's the one for you!

OP posts:
LethargicButAwesome · 11/10/2018 21:08

Welcome @rightnow don't worry ovulation still confuses me I can never get a positive supposedly you are only ovulating when the second line is darker than the first one. A faint second light does not mean ou are ovulating.

I'm in the two week wait have a week before I can test. Random I know but I have broken out in a rash that is spreading, really want to be pregnant but hope this is not a sign as I suffered very badly from ichiness in my last pregnancy, almost had a mental breakdown as I just wanted to rip my skin off and couldn't sleep for over a month!

Hi ladies csn I join I’m also TTC #2
I’ve been tracking my cycles for a few months now but this is the first month we have been trying

Age 28
Cycle 1
Baby #2

I’ve been doing the opk for a few months now to try and track my ovulation day and I’m still a little confused by then lol 😂
When I first start doing them on day 10dp there is no second line but the nearer I get to ovulation the darker the line before until it’s positive.. is this normal or should I not be paying any attention to the second line if it’s not a positive?

mayago · 09/10/2018 14:02

I've got everything crossed for BFPs all round ladies! I've loved being a part of this group 💖
