Over 40 ttc - Autumn baby dust for me!

Hi all, been away without internet for a few days and so much has happened on the thread - i cant keep up with everyone but just wanted to say good luck to all those waiting to test, for scans, and about to start treatments!

Orchid and Reality - loads of luck with the treatment. I’ll be praying for you too.

Presh - that’s promising. With my pregnancies I’ve had loads of CM. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Cleo - thank you again for your words of wisdom. I’m so relieved to hear you had the same (horrid) symptoms and that your cycles have gone back to regular. Today I’m feeling a lot more like my usual self, just suddenly not feeling hot anymore. Praying the oestrogen is kicking back in 🙏

Here unfortunately Af did arrive late yesterday... I knew it would as my temperatures crashed but It was 2 days late so I was secretly hoping for a miracle... and now feel a bit gutted... oh well, onward and upwards!

@Rose68 that's exactly how I felt wks 6-12. I know all pregnancies are different etc etc. I have everything crossed that baby is growing and that you get good news.

@Presh12345 it's hopeful that af didn't arrive. Fingers crossed for you.

So sorry for the TMI but I got up this morning and I just knew my period had started. You know the feeling. Anyway, went to bathroom and there was a huge amount of EWCM, loads of it! What does this even mean? I messaged my doc yesterday and he said not to worry about the BFN that it was much too early to tell.

Nothing to report here, just ticking off the days until I can find out more. Struggling a bit with constant nausea, (it’s not bad, but always there), but otherwise all is okay. x

@Cleozeta we are working on the eod principle too.. not due to ov till after the weekend but the ovaries are really twingey and achey now

Chat and taxgirl, thanks, hopefully I have just missed the surge and ov is happening as we have been dtd eod thankfully. Ava stats are all looking good and suggest ov today, although temp not gone up yet. Will see what tomorrow brings. I have a slow rise anyway so may take a few days. It's just unusual for me not to get a +opk or peak so I'm hoping overies haven't quit and left the building.

@Lets, how have you not tested? I would have done about 100 tests by now!!!

@cleo definitely get active. The info that comes with the Ava bracelet says you have a fertile period of 5 days I think. And it's so easy to miss the peak/surge. All so painfully unreliable. Like chat says just get busy!!

@Letsdothis43 you have nerves if steel, I'd have tested.. @Cleozeta don't wait for the line get at it... boys in the tubes just to be on safe side x

How frustrating lets. Deffo test, at least that'll give you a better idea of what is going on.

Reality - ah yes I hadb't thought about the abstaining part. I hope the appointment doesn't land in fw!!

As for me. I am in my most dreaded part of the cycle. Pre ovulation. I hate this part it's so stressful and something different happens every cycle to stress me out. So this time everything was looking lovely. Ewcm on cd14 (Saturday) opk's started to get darker etc. Then today, when I expected ov to happen, bloody opk goes blank!! And I've not had a positive or peak yet!

I am keeping up guys I promise, just feel utterly shit at the moment! not sure where I'm up to telling you all about this weird time..

AF was due around Friday 2nd November and I knew I wouldn't get IVF meds in time as they were due to arrive with me on Tuesday 6th so I had basically discounted starting IVF treatment in November, DH has booked off two weeks from work mid November to travel out to clinic for EC and ET, no AF on due date so I thought there may still be hope that I could start taking my meds on CD2-3.

Meds arrived Last Tues and still no AF we were now on CD34, apart from June I've been regularly 28 days and then I had a weird 46 day cycle with BFN's and back to normal after that but around 28-30 cycle.

I am now CD 41 no AF not tested as I am sure its what happened in June (annovultry cycle?) I know I should test but I'm too anxious and apprehensive and my clinic is wondering whats happening! I was going to leave it until CD 46 to POAS, I have all the pains like I had my ghost cycle, I just wish my body would make it's mind up. Was raring to get one IVF cycle done to see how my body would react and now I'll be waiting until January as December (clinic closing etc) is out.

I just wish I could plan this without all the worrying about my body shutting down.

I have been thinking of you all and to all the new members too, I fell crap for reading and not posting, just feel so weird all the time, mad sad uncertain and everything rolled into one, trying to keep normal in RL is getting harder too!

On the plus side I have all my meds here reading and waiting for when I can start IVF treatment! and I'll be ready in January, might give myself some time to go on a health kick!

AF due today. Tested this morning with FMU and BFN. Think I'm out this month. And as AF isn't here, will have to wait for her to arrive before starting next cycle. 😪

cleozeta- thats brilliant glad I mentioned it! Yes SA done in clinic. I was really worried about DH, he has anxiety about it anyway but we were told not to do anything for 3-5 days before. We were actually on Holiday the week before so only managed to not for 4 days before. Then day before test 🤦‍♀️ Were naughty but had to stop! I was so worried he wouldn’t be able to on the day but he did just fine. Was a bit flustered when he came out 😳 I was clock watching and then he said he couldn’t do it I was gutted. He was kidding obviously !
