Rose, I'm so very sorry for your loss. I've been there. It's horrific. There's nothing anyone can say to make it any better. Cry away, let the tears flow. You don't need to have a plan at the moment. Just rest and give yourself some time to process and recover. Big love to you xx

Chatbash72 · 16/11/2018 15:05

@Rose68 you go no where but the sofa, hot water bottle and some really crappy telly.. rest up and take it a minute at a time.. let the tears out.., sending big big hugs 💕

Russkispy · 16/11/2018 14:50

did a test this morning and could see a very very faint line. Hardly visible. Run to London to get blood tests done so I don't second guess it. Sadly it's Negative. And now moving onto IVF. Next month. Still staying positive! Absolutely! I'll get there! And so will you all!! In time!

CritterTamer · 16/11/2018 14:40

@Letsdothis43 thank you for asking - I’m doing ok - feeling truly crap most of the time but trying to woman up and get on with it lol. Nervously awaiting 9 week scan next week at which point my IVF clinic will discharge me if all is well.

Sorry to hear you’re in a dilemma about starting your treatment - if you do start it now is Christmas likely to be a problem for embryo transfer, etc? Some clinics shut down ove Xmas so won’t start cycles that are likely to involve any procedures over the Xmas period.

Good luck with it whatever you decide to do xxx

Orchid222 · 16/11/2018 14:38

Rose68 · 16/11/2018 10:46

Morning Ladies, unfortunately I have definitely miscarried. We had a private scan this morning which showed no change in the size of the Fetal pole from last week and also no heartbeat. I phoned the epu, they can’t see me until Monday. 😥

Letsdothis43 · 16/11/2018 08:59

@Orchid @Chatbash72 @Cleozeta @Taxgirl @presh

Thank you all and I hope everyone on the thread is doing well, a few days and so much happens on this thread!

AF kind of came last night finally CD42 ish so I could start taking my stims and make this month but DH already cancelled one week of leave and now may find it difficult swapping again (I am self employed so flexible) if I was to start on CD2 then I would take meds tomorrow, I really want to start but am wondering if I leave it until January when my cycle will hopefully be back to normal.

I am pained to leave it another month but know that organising everything this last minute is going to be challenging (lots going on in RL too!) I have to decide today really and am stuck with what to do ....

Do I give myself the two months to prep body or do I go for it (dependant really on DH being able to juggle work time off)

@littlemimosa hope you are well! you've said above about being on CD41 waiting for proper follicular phase to kick in what do you mean by that?! my cycles have decided to go haywire but this sounds positive?!

@crittertamer how are you and how're you feeling!

@Rose hope you are feeling better, i'm sure the wait is beyond difficult ..

Thinking of you all....

5fivestar · 16/11/2018 07:03

littlemimosa - yeah my periods were 28 days

Shellster52 · 16/11/2018 00:06

Presh, I took progesterone the cycle BEFORE my IVF cycle (as well as in the IVF cycle). Somewhere in all my research, I read that a strong luteal phase is good for the developing follicles for the following cycle. So if you are feeling down and out and wanting to move forward to plan B of trying again, you can think of this as prepping your follicles that are now developing for next cycle.

littlemimosa · 15/11/2018 23:07

Mini - fingers are tightly crossed here for you 🤞 x

5fivestar - thanks for the encouragement and congratulations! Can I ask, are your periods still regular?

littlemimosa · 15/11/2018 23:04

Welcome Shell! No judgement here, also ttc number 3.

Wishing - sorry it’s turned to a bfn. But maybe just maybe.....

Cleo- im CD41! So I’m praying it’s the beginning of a proper follicular phase. Still feeling bit better, hot flashes almost gone the last two days, praying hard. It’s a full moon in one week so it’d make me very happy to ovulate then:)

Presh - sorry you’re feeling so rubbish and for the bfn:( Perhaps it’s still too early tho. If you actually ovulated more like the Sunday or Monday despite having the iui on the Sat you’d still only be 11/12 dpo?

Chatbash72 · 15/11/2018 21:36

@WishingonaStar77 not out till af arrives..
@Realitysucks there have been several articles in the papers about clinics charging couples for unnecessary procedures and tests..
Can't remember who it was that missed out on kylie concert last time because they hoped to be preggo.. 2019 concert tickets on sale tomorrow!!! Go for it..
@Shellster52 you would think!! But no sadly but are opting for a relaxed dtd.. just regularly throughout the month..
@Presh12345 keeping my fingers crossed and @5fivestar congratulations!!!

WishingonaStar77 · 15/11/2018 21:03

Hi guys, just thought I'd update. Took another test Tues morning and the line was there but definitely fainter.. and the first time was with evening urine!
Tested again this morning test definitely BFN.
Could be another early chemical or could have been leftover from last month's chemical? But I was barely 5 weeks so couldn't have had that much left by now surely?!
Anyway onwards and upwards..
Welcome to the new ladies x

CritterTamer · 15/11/2018 18:57

@Realitysucks they are right to say the egg shells may be harder, but this affects embryo hatching rather than fertilisation and can be overcome with assisted hatching. In my first cycle we had 100% fertilisation rate and the two embryos transferred did have thick shells so they did assisted hatching.

I would say your clinic is after extra money - personally if your DHs sperm is great i would refuse ICSI for your first attempt and see what fertilisation rate you get. If the rate is poor and the first cycle fails (as most do) you could try ICSI on the next cycle.

Realitysucks · 15/11/2018 18:50

@critterTamer thanks my sister said the same. They are saying due to age and AMH of 4 which I’m now starting to realise is not that low compared to some people’s! That the shell of the egg will be harder due to age 🧐 but it’s like 1k more !
