Cleo- is the book generally useful? I still haven't got round to ordering it. Are there any simple changes we can make that don't involve abolishing plastic in all forms from our lives??!!! I think no nail varnish was one I'd heard of which sounded fairly manageable (but what about Christmas ahhhh I love to treat myself to nice festive nails as a treat!)

minime2017 · 20/11/2018 19:31

Cleo, Ive not read that book and dont think i want too as id become obsessive!
Awaiting af to strike, feeling the hormone headache beginning as I type. Timing has been out again! Ideas on supplements please...though i feel just about ready to knock it all on the head.

BooseysMom · 20/11/2018 19:21

Good luck Russkispy and Orchid x

Wishing..how are you feeling?
My ovarian pain has gone now. Just the run-down to the inevitable AF now.

DH has just found he has an interview for a teaching training course at uni with a bursary attached. Praying he gets the placement..but too scared to hope too much! There's a lot resting on it

Russkispy · 20/11/2018 19:13

@Cleozeta , that's how I felt when I finished reading the hat book! It's absolutely impossible to follow in some ways. But you have other options and stick with them! Supplements and balanced diet. I'm sure it's equally effective.
@Orchid222 , I'll keep you posted Grin

Orchid222 · 20/11/2018 19:05

Russkispy you're definitely on a different protocol to me! I've started already but my transfer will be some time after yours. We'll good luck to us both!

Started reading 'it starts with the egg' and I wish I hadn't as now I'm freaking out about flipping BPA, it's in everything and near impossible to not have, unless you live on a pure diet of fresh fruit & veg only (impossible when you have children, and hard work if you don't) and never have anything plastic in the house (again, impossible) arrrggghh!! Boo hoo!!

Russkispy · 20/11/2018 18:39

@Presh12345 , I used Gonal 2 days in one of my IUIs. And I'm waiting for Gonal pens now to start IVF process on Thursday.

Russkispy · 20/11/2018 18:38

@Orchid222 , I believe it's just stimulated IVF, starting injections between 2-5 of my cycle. Hoping to get Gonal tomorrow and start on Thursday, cd4. To stimulate follicles. Booked 3 scans next week. And flying home next weekend. Egg collection is booked for the 3rd and embryo transfer on the 8th. I'm curious to see how my body responds to Gonal this time and for so long. In one of my IUIs, I needed to use Gonal 2 days in a row. It was fine. No side effects and results were great. Fingers crossed. And fingers are crossed for you!

Presh12345 · 20/11/2018 17:47

Anyone know about gonal f??

Orchid222 · 20/11/2018 12:33

Good luck Russkispy! Are you on a short protocol that you're starting around the beginning of your cycle? I'm on long so started yesterday around ovulation time.
Lets- when are you starting, can you squeeze it in before Christmas?

Cleozeta · 20/11/2018 11:03

Fingers crossed for you russkispy!

Evug1234 · 20/11/2018 03:27

@Russkispy .... I hope you get there soon..... your positivity and determination is inspiring

Russkispy · 19/11/2018 22:57

AF arrived today! Making the shortest cycle ever - 23 days! And my IVF drugs haven't even been couriered to me yet! Should be here on Wednesday and I could start injections on Thursday. All to confirm with my doctor tomorrow. Interesting times ahead! I'm trying to work our scans over here and then fly home to my clinic for egg collection and transfer. A few logistics involved, I must admit. But determined to get there in the end! And hoping for the positive outcome!

Cleozeta · 19/11/2018 14:04

Hmmm - depends on what day you ovulate. It should be 7 days after ovulation

hmmm123 · 19/11/2018 13:53

I haven't been on for a while.. sorry to hear bad news and good luck for everyone still pg

I have ovulated this month but missed the window to dtd as dh away☹️ but am at least pleased I am ovulating as had weird cycles for last few months!

Am going for 21 day bloods .. but day 21 falls on a sat.. if I go on day 20 will this be ok?

KashyKash · 19/11/2018 08:54

I've been offline for a while but just catching up on everyone's news. So sorry to hear about your loss Rose, take good care of yourself x Welcome to the new people.
I had an appointment with a gynaecologist last week (paid for a private consult so I didn't have to wait) and he has agreed to do a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy to see if we can find out if there's any damage/scarring from my previous c section. I'm booked in for January and he has offered to do it on the NHS. It cost £150 to see him and I've totally jumped the queue, so it was well worth it! Hopefully will get some answers so we know if another cycle of ivf will be worth doing.
Good luck to all waiting for bfp/af and those starting treatment x

WishingonaStar77 · 18/11/2018 23:48

Thanks guys, but this next week feels critical it will either turn into a chemical or it will stick.. not out the woods yet..

Presh12345 so sorry to hear things didn't work this time. Stay positive x

BooseysMom I had really wired painful ovary throbbing pain this month. I actually thought I had ovulated again but that's unlikely. It lasted all day..

My DP and I work for same company and there may be some big reorganision next year. It worries is too if we were to get made redundant but we both know we would make it work somehow x

PetraRabbit · 18/11/2018 20:50

Rose- so very sorry. It must feel so unfair.

Presh- oh no! Keep trying. Disappointment is so horrible.

Wishing77- that's a happy sight! I love a double line photo!!

BooseysMom · 18/11/2018 15:56

Thanks Cleo & Little .. It's def not another cyst. The pain has gone. I reckon it's ovulation but particularly painful. I read they can get like this some months. I missed dtd last night because of it.

Chat...Sorry you're feeling rubbish..what a bad day..no wonder you're glad to be home! Sounds like you've done all you can with dtd. I haven't dtd anywhere near enough. But tbh I'm scared to have another dc as dh has been off sick from work for 5 months and will go down to half pay soon. Also it looks likely he'll be made medically redundant so how can we afford another now? 😪

Chatbash72 · 18/11/2018 15:45

@BooseysMom feeling pants today... think I have already ov as had twinges a few days ago.. app shows that it's due in a few days.. have been dtd every other day except yesterday as hubs was being a tit.. had my youngest nephews Christening today which was hard.. Mother is a cow but thankfully didn't give her an opportunity to hurt, but eldest offspring dug the knife in.. thankful to be going home tired and emotional
😞

littlemimosa · 18/11/2018 15:21

Congrats Wishing - that is a great line!

Booseys - when did you ovulate? If it’s recently it could be a ruptured cyst if the pain is that bad?

Cleozeta · 18/11/2018 14:58

Congrats wishing, that looks possitive to me. I would definitely tell them at scan

Boosey - could it be another cyst?

BooseysMom · 18/11/2018 09:41

Morning Chat, thanks for your msg.. if it's ovulation it ls the strongest it's been ever I think..too painful to dtd! Today it's eased off but it's too late prob and anyway we won't get the chance til tonight when DS is asleep. It's hopeless tbh! Wondered if it was implantation pain? But too early I would say.
How's everyone today?

Chatbash72 · 18/11/2018 06:33

@WishingonaStar77 yes you should...
@BooseysMom could it be ovulating pain?
