I'm using cheapo tests that I got online. They came with OPK's.
I have used cheap.ones in the past and they have shown a pos result. Though, actually now I've said that,i realise of course that I haven't actually been pregnant for about 5 years!!

Rose68 · 15/10/2018 14:53

Welcome @Sweatpea0318, sorry, I also don’t know anything about small ovaries or PCOS, I’m sure your consultant will have the answers for you, hopefully you can get an appointment quickly.
@Iusedtobecarmen, what pregnancy tests are you using? Some people don’t get positive pregnancy tests for a couple of weeks after AF, maybe it would be worth going to see your gp, maybe a blood test could rule out (in) pregnancy.
Small update from me... my AF isn’t due until Monday next week, and acupuncture lengthened my LP by a day last month, so maybe Tuesday. I have the mother of all spots on my face, so maybe that’s the dhea, I also still haven’t got pmt which is very unusual, maybe the dhea has done that too? I had terrible pmt last month. x

I'm going out of my mind now with being 7days late!to make things worse this morning, a woman I know was telling me about her menopausal symptoms. She's in her 50s. Just chatting co incidently and doesnt know about me ttc. Anyway all her symptoms sound like how i feel- bad pmt for ages but nothing happening.

I'm really worried that this is the start if it for me and I've totally missed the boat
I'm that bloated I cant do my trousers up and my breasts are heaving out of my bra.

I can't even go to the gp at the age of 48 with one missed period. All he will say is its the menopause, especially as ive now done about 4 neg preg tests.
Advice please

On another note, am I the only person on this thread with high FSH?

Cleozeta · 15/10/2018 14:02

Welcome sweetpea, sorry I don't know anything about that either, but hopefully someone can help.

Chat - I buy my ubiquinol online, but I buy the brand that costs a fortune in H & B but is half the price on ebay. I think ubiquinol is better for us oldies as it's easier absorbed

Chatbash72 · 15/10/2018 13:45

Have changed from ubiquinol to CoEnzyme 10 because I've not been too comfortable getting the ubiquinol online.. just not sure who is reputable.. I know not as effective I'm of the opinion something is better than nothing..
welcome @sweetpea0318 I don't have any experience with pco but there is probably a lovely lady on here with some experience.. xx

sweetpea0318 · 15/10/2018 13:25

Hello ladies, can I join please? I’ve been lurking for a bit but thought o would introduce myself! I’m 39 in December ttc #2 for 13 months with one early mc in March. Dd is 3 in December.

I’ve just booked to see a private consultant after coming to a dead end with the nhs. This morning I’ve been looking over my results of various tests from the past year in my referral letter and realised I have one very small ovary (2 mls volume) in addition to one with pco. Of course I’ve been googling like crazy and freaking myself out with information saying this volume is actually the same as a post menopausal woman. Does anyone know anything about this or have any good news stories of someone with similar but that still got a bfp? Thanks! Stepping away from google now!!

Chatbash72 · 15/10/2018 13:19

CoEnzyme Q10 on offer in Holland and Barrett 50% off until tomorrow

Iusedtobecarmen · 15/10/2018 07:18

Booseysmom
Yes you sound like you are in the same situation as me. I have half heartedly been trying. Leaving it to chance and nowt happening. Or trying maybe once during my fertile window and not really going for it.
I don't know why I think that will work as I tried properly with my other dc and I was younger then.
I feel like shite. Belly bloated like mad
7 days late now. Did another test yesterday and still neg.
As well as my other supplements I also take aspirin and maca powder.

Chatbash72 · 14/10/2018 21:15

Thanks @Funkypuzzle and you too for your sticky bean 💕

Funkypuzzle · 14/10/2018 20:18

Chatbash I only used all my supplements for 2 months before I got my BFP. I am sure they must have had some impact but of course I will never know. I know though that the evidence states that it takes 3 months for an egg to mature.
Sending you tonnes of baby dust my love xx

Dinah99 · 14/10/2018 20:10

@Funkypuzzle fantastic news! Congratulations, lovely to hear xx

Cleozeta · 14/10/2018 12:53

Good luck russkispy!

Russkispy · 14/10/2018 12:06

@Funkypuzzle , congratulations! Everything crossed for you!
And sorry to hear about AFs and BFNs. It's just rubbish but we must go on.
As for me, IUI done on Friday. Responded well to Clomid and didnt need additional injections for boosting the follicles. had 4 mature follicles, 2 on each side (never had it this way with IUI), and the dominant on the day, was on the left at 20mm. Had my acupuncture straight after procedure and then was on a drip. Now taking progesterone pills and other good stuff including some pills to help implantation. Have to do HCG blood test on 23 and 25 of this month.
Time will tell. Smile

Chatbash72 · 14/10/2018 11:48

I use ubiquinol.... 2nd month so will not see any diff for another month or so

Funkypuzzle · 14/10/2018 10:02

Wishing you all the very best and so much baby dust you that sparkle!
I really rate the co enzyme q 600mg and the vitamin D. I think they both helped energise and spruce up my tired eggs! Just hoping they replicated properly! I am looking into NIPTy test options now.

Chatbash72 · 14/10/2018 08:49

Ameliel · 13/10/2018 22:13

@Funkypuzzle congratulations, amazing news! Shock fingers crossed for you xx

Welcome @Iusedtobecarmen SmileI'm trying for baby no.4 too! Smile

A small update from me:
I came home from few days of long distance travel a week ago, I didn't bother with temperatures or OPK when I was away, due to time difference and jet lag... anyway, got a very faint positive OPK a day after coming back... and my temperatures went up the next day and have stayed up the last 6 days.

I am starting to think that I ovulated on the OPK+ day... (as background , I've come off the Nexplanon about 4 weeks ago and my cycle has been all over the place up to now- so that would be my first o in about 7 years!!)

So if that's the case, i would be 6dpo today... so excited to see how it goes from here!

littlemimosa · 13/10/2018 21:58

Cleo - I’ve been:
Doing lots of yoga including YogaYin (on YouTube).
Meditation (using Headspace app but also doing my own inspired by Julia Indichova the Inconceivable lady where I imagine a bright warm light going into the top of my head, energizing my pituitary, thyroid, ovaries etc)
Getting lots of rest and sleep
Eating super healthy diet, organic food, low sugar, minimal refined grains.
Supplements especially vitamin E and magnesium to boost oestrogen
Lots of water and herbal teas
Epsom salt baths
Reflexology

PetraRabbit · 13/10/2018 20:10

Funky- big congratulations! So exciting to see BFPs on this thread. The termination must have been terrible- sorry. Hoping for you this time. All the signs look good! The odds are you'll be fine. I was nearly 42 when I had my only DC and it was all perfect.

BooseysMom · 13/10/2018 19:48

Wow a def BFP Funky!! ...congratulations Flowers I was 41 when I had DS and everything was fine. Keeping everything crossed for you gal! Grin

Welcome Iusedtobecarmen. I am also sort of ttc but as I'm v. nervous about it we end up dtd at the wrong times and just leaving it to fate hence it is taking ages and I'm fast running out of time at 46! But we feel blessed to have DS and he's very anti sibling at 5 yrs. He knows who rules the roost! I have days when I have tremendous guilt for not trying harder but then the harder you try the chances seem to lower as stress takes over .. so I try to tell myself relax and what will be will be

Evug1234 · 13/10/2018 18:42

Heartiest congratulations funky...... fx for a sticky bean

DabofRouge · 13/10/2018 18:06
