A few things to take note of: DHEA is a hormone, and can affect other hormones. It is important to work with your doctor, and review all supplements with him or her.

Also, ubiquinol is better absorbed in a form that is water and fat-soluble.

Good luck!!

Ameliel · 17/10/2018 17:47

Hi @StarShapedWindow , join us!!! I will have a large gap between my now youngest and the new baby if /when S/he will come along, minimum 8 years! That worries me at times but hopefully it won't be too bad...
@Rose68 , my boobs were really sore yesterday (among all types of other symptoms), but nothing today! I'm wondering if the DHEA I've started taking is playing havoc with my hormones!

StarShapedWindow · 17/10/2018 17:10

Hello everyone, im feeling inspired by your positivity because people that I know in RL all think having another baby in your 40s is a big mistake - what do they know! Im 39 and sorely tempted to ttc #3. I have a DC who’s 10 and one who’s 6, is anyone else going to have a big age gap?

Chatbash72 · 17/10/2018 16:52

Not reached predicted ov time yet.. but made the most of hubbys "
"working from home" day... 😉

Rose68 · 17/10/2018 16:35

Sounds good Petra!
I am 9 dpo, no symptoms. My boobs don’t hurt no matter how hard I bang them. I think I had more symptoms last month. Smile

PetraRabbit · 17/10/2018 16:11

Hi! I'm about 2 dpo. This cycle felt like my best one for ages. I finally used OPKs and got a strong positive at the 'ideal' mid month point, and decent lines (just less than the control line) on the days either side. I wasn't expecting this certainty as before DC1 I never got a positive on them. But it was a different brand. We also caught the right days. I'm trying not to feel too positive or get hopes up too much. I've been feeling stressed about my chances at 43.

Cleozeta · 17/10/2018 16:07

I was 6dpo but ff just moved my crosshairs to 4dpo!

Ameliel · 17/10/2018 15:02

Thanks @Rose68 ... all my symptoms have disappeared today, zip...
10dpo today but didn't bother testing... how is everyone else getting along?

DabofRouge · 16/10/2018 17:44

@Chatbash72 Yes, I may have to do that. I need to find a brand on Amazon that looks legit.

hmm123 · 16/10/2018 16:56

Thanks rose

Woohoo AF has arrived.. have never been so pleased to see her. Better late than never. I'm back in the game..

Rose68 · 16/10/2018 14:31

@Iusedtobecarmen - this is what I am taking
Pregnacare conception
Maca root (capsules)
Ubiquinol
PQQ
Paba
Oil of Evening Primrose
Cassanovum
Vitamin D
Vitamin C
Ferroglobin (iron tablets with couple of b vitamins)
Royal jelly
Bee propolis
Dhea

A few of these I have only started this month, the others I have been taking for 2-3 months.

Rose68 · 16/10/2018 14:21

@Ameliel it sounds like we are at a similar stage, I think you are a day ahead of me. I am the same with symptom spotting, which seems madness when the chances are so low, especially for me at 43, how did I get to 43? Sad
9dpo is too early to test xxx

Rose68 · 16/10/2018 13:24

@hmmm123 sending you a hug. x

Ameliel · 16/10/2018 13:02

Hi all, 9dpo here and I'm symptom spotting like a crazy person, alternating with convincing myself that it's all just my imagination! Yesterday I had slight backache and felt really really hungry! (Despite eating as usual).
Today I felt really hungry in the morning but now slightly queasy, it sort of comes and goes...
I think this might be a positive symptom because In my last pregnancy I had severe morning sickness for first 5 months, I was nearly hospitalised because I was losing weight.. that put me off for ttc another one at the time, but obviously 7 years is long enough to forget about such inconveniences...anyway, I could not help myself and tested today, with Superdrug's own brand stick ...and the sodding stick was faulty, I got no line at all (not even control line I mean!) grr! Has anyone had any bfp's this early anyway or am I just wasting my time and money?

Iusedtobecarmen · 16/10/2018 12:52

*Maca powder

Iusedtobecarmen · 16/10/2018 12:51

Well finally period came early this morning
Day 36. Relieved in a way. At least i can move forward now. And this terrible bloating PMT type feeling has lifted. I really hope this isn't gping to be how it is all the time now.
hmm123
That's how I feel. Why the bloody he'll didn't I blood just go for it ages ago instead of not being pro active at all.
Well i mean it this time. I'm going to properly try and at least I can say I've actually tried

I'm going to get back on the DHEA and maybe order some preeseed too.
Anything else that I could add to my concoction?
Mac's powder
Vitd d
Vit c
Royal jelly
Aspirin
Co q 10
??

karryk · 16/10/2018 11:24

Yay @Funkypuzzle ! Grin good luck, @Russkispy Flowers

I'm still awaiting AF Hmm 31 day cycle so far!! Argh! Thankfully I've finished the oestrogen tablets I was given after my hysteroscopy so I'm just hoping they're to blame for the two long cycles recently. Usually I'm like clockwork at 27-28 days...

I think I need to do an overhaul of my lifestyle too... I'm not getting enough sleep and diet is a bit hit and miss Blush

Here's to November bringing us some more bfps Smile xx

Chatbash72 · 16/10/2018 10:59

@DabofRouge could you take 200mg tablets, 3 times a day?

DabofRouge · 16/10/2018 10:39

Ugh! It seems, from what I’ve been reading, that the dose of Ubiquinol I’ve been taking (100 mg) isn’t worth bothering with. 600 mg seems to be the standard. It’s hard to find higher dose tablets. I wonder if it would make that much difference if I switched to CoQ10. Confused

hmm123 · 16/10/2018 08:05

Still no af cd 45 and feeling rubbish bloated and confused 😩 terrified that this is the start of the menopause

Feeling pd off with myself that I didn't just crack on about 3 years ago....

So happy for Meghan and Harry but also makes me feel a bit sad and jealous. I've spent a long time second guessing my decision on having another dc and I think I've now confirmed my feelings ... typical when it might now be too late😩

Rose68 · 16/10/2018 07:35

Looks like pmt got me... Angry

ckc45d10 · 15/10/2018 21:57

For those who mentioned Coenzyme Q10/ubiquinol, you may want to look into the absorption of your supplements. A water and fat-soluble form absorbs better. Either way, it is still better to check with your doctor on supplement choices. Good luck!

Iusedtobecarmen · 15/10/2018 21:52

Yes I think i will try a first response just for peace of mind but i don't think i am pg

I have been tracking ovulation yes. I do it religiously. I only use opks, not .temping. i can usually tell too. Last month it Was CD13.

A.menopausal cycle? Omg. I don't like the sound of that! If it wasnt for my age id 100% think i was pg. This is the only time in my life I've had a late or missed period and not been pregnant.

Cleozeta · 15/10/2018 17:00

Iusedtobe - if it is a menopausal cycle, you may need to just ride it out and wait for af so you can start again next cycle. Have you been tracking ovulation? Are you sure it happened this cycle? It may just be a blip, it's super common in our 40's.

Rose - fingers crossed all those are good signs! I've heard dhea can cause spots so may be that. I guess you'll have to wait and see!

Rose68 · 15/10/2018 15:27

Maybe try a first response test and take it from there? x
