Just for fun ladies, google 'ava unlock the clock' and take the test! It supposedly predicts how long it will take you to conceive, based on your data (things that determine fertility like, age, weight, drinking habbits etc)
Mine came back as 4 months!! So..... where's my sodding bfp then?! Grin

PetraRabbit · 18/10/2018 20:42

Critter- so so exciting! Hoping for good news!!

Rose and Cleo- thanks for the positive thoughts. I know 43 isn't necessarily hopeless but it starts to feel that way!

BooseysMom · 18/10/2018 19:07

Critter. I was just wondering how you and your embies are doing! Sorry you've had a rough time feeling ill ..Hope all goes well...omg imagine twins!! ShockGrin x

BooseysMom · 18/10/2018 18:58

Iusedtobecarmen..Sorry that AF came. Mine keep coming earlier..I haven't been preg for 5 years .. the same as you. This cycle is weird as I've only just finished AF and omg did she knock me about again this month!! It gets towards the end then goes away then returns for another bash! now she's gone about 2-3 days ago and I have loads of what feels like ewcm. Sorry tmi! surely I can't be ovulating so soon?? I'll have to get opk quick sharp! I have all the symptoms of ovulation but this happens a lot...fertile feeling mucus that lasts for weeks. I'm sure it's pero-menopause Shock

Russkispy · 18/10/2018 18:57

@CritterTamer , everything crossed for you and sorry you're going through discomfort at the moment.
I've been sick twice so far and feeling drained.

weasledee · 18/10/2018 18:51

Sorry you're feeling rough critter, but what potentially great news!!
Looking forward to the update :)

Rose68 · 18/10/2018 18:26

Its sounding very positive Critter! Sorry for what you are going through, but hopefully it will be worth it. x

CritterTamer · 18/10/2018 18:22

Thanks Cleo- I’m so terrified that they will call tomorrow and say they made a mistake. I’m also terrified that they will. All and say they didn’t! Apparently the ohss means there’s a decent chance of twins!

To be honest I’m really happy at this point that i don’t have to POAS for the result - I can’t tell you how much I was dreading doing that this weekend!

Cleozeta · 18/10/2018 18:12

Oh wow fingers crossed for you critter! Unfortunate you had to go through all the pain and discomfort but lets hope it leads to good things!

CritterTamer · 18/10/2018 17:14

Hi ladies

Hope you’re all doing well - congrats @Funkypuzzle and fingers crossed for you @Russkispy 🤞

Haven’t been on much for a while as been really poorly since a couple of days after my embryo transfer - had some really awful pain and bloating, together with nausea and shortness of breath and just generally felt shit. Anyway just back from the clinic who wanted to check it out and had late onset moderate OHSS confirmed (which is spparentl6 very unusual for our age group) with ovaries swollen o er 8cm and lots of abdominal fluid leakage which explains the pain and swelling (honestly I look 5 months pregnant). Sent home to bed rest with yet more daily injections to do - blood thinners, just when I thought i was done with all the needles for a while 😒

Had about a pint of blood taken for various tests including beta HCG, and the plus side is that the doctor and nurses couldn’t stop grinning and told me there’s really only one reason that this happens and to expect a positive result from the beta HCG test tomorrow 😁 of course I’m not going to sleep a wink tonight now.....!

Russkispy · 18/10/2018 16:23

@karryk thank you! Just been sick. Haven't eaten all day today! And trying rice cakes but tummy is so heavy and still feeling sick. I really hope it's something to do with pregnancy symptoms and not the silly food poisoning

karryk · 18/10/2018 15:54

Oh @Russkispy that sounds promising!! Fingers and toes crossed!

Still awaiting AF here...now cycle day 35 and no sign. No preggo symptoms at all. Meh! Halloween Hmm

weasledee · 18/10/2018 15:24

Critter just wondering how you're doing? :)

Russkispy · 18/10/2018 14:25

@Cleozeta , thanks!
@Chatbash72 , I'm only 7 days past IUI! My clinic told me to do blood test on Tuesday and Thursday providing Tuesday is positive

Chatbash72 · 18/10/2018 14:24

@Russkispy when did you last take a test? Sounds promising.. 🤞
@Cleozeta my girlfriends are doing the same but they are having irregular periods etc.. I however am not phew.. when you still get auntie flo you're still good to go.. 👍👍👍

Cleozeta · 18/10/2018 14:16

Angel maybe speak to your gp if you think things have gone wacky. Hopefully they can do some tests and give you some answers

Rose - brave move with the fertility clinic! I want to do the same but too scared.

Russkispy - sounds promising. Fingers crossed for you!

I have been reading facebook and people from my school year are talking about going through menopause - argh!!

Russkispy · 18/10/2018 13:24

And smelling food makes me feel sick!

Russkispy · 18/10/2018 13:23

Last night before bed was feeling sick. As in I wanted to throw up. Slept badly, was feeling sick and when got up had a diarrhea! All morning! And still feeling sick! Coming and going. But not vomiting. And smelling food makes me sick! It wasn't anything out of ordinary for dinner last night. Pasta and green vegetables. I'm 7 days past IUI/ovulation. Don't even know what to think of it? What do you make of it?!

Rose68 · 18/10/2018 12:19

@StarShapedWindow welcome, I have 2 boys, 9 and 6, so very similar to your 2.

@Angelbabyollie, maybe it will take a bit more time for things to settle down. x

@ckc45d10, I did attempt to speak to my doctor about dhea, she didn’t know what I was talking about and quite obviously didn’t care what supplements I was taking. My acupuncturist has been much more helpful.

I have registered myself with a feritility clinic Shock

Chatbash72 · 17/10/2018 21:49

@Angelbabyollie have to taken another test? Perhaps a visit to the gp for a blood test xx

Angelbabyollie · 17/10/2018 21:22

Hi everyone well I have been off here for a while - was trying to de stress about while situation but now can I ask for advice as really confused! My second postpartum period was due 17 September and this day I started spotting ( had a +hpt but string negatives after so presume I was 1% chance of false positive!) anyway spotting continued not enough for a pad except for an hour one day until cd 14 2 October which then became heavier started having clots etc but was light still some in bowl when wee , so I thought as fed up of bleeding would take soy ISO for 4 days so did after I was heavier , bleeding stopped 8 October. I don't know when to say cycle day started was it from spotting it when I was heavier? Also I am now if you count heavier bleed as cd 1 cd 15 I am so hungry all the time feel sick and certain smells make me feel more sick! I am really confused and don't know when af will be expected! Please does anyone have advice ? Sorry to ask and hope makes some sense! Xx

StarShapedWindow · 17/10/2018 20:38

Chatbash - I hadn’t thought of the benefit of babysitting!

Chatbash72 · 17/10/2018 19:53

@StarShapedWindow 14 years between me and my brother and 4 between my sis and I.. closer with my bro.. I have a 10 yr gap between my 3rd and 4th... he now old enough to baby sit... bonus
Yes @Cleozeta My thoughts and agree not sure my gp would give a monkeys what supplements I was on sadly

StarShapedWindow · 17/10/2018 19:06

Thanks everyone, I’m sure everything would pan out. I believe Christopher Biggins has a brother ten years younger than himself and they’re very close. Also there’s a six year gap between me and my brother and he’s like my best friend, we speak on the phone at least once a week.

You all seem so clued up on which vitamins to take, I can’t even remember to take my hair and nail vitamin!

Cleozeta · 17/10/2018 18:47

Petra - all sounds positive. And you have every chance at 43! While you are still ovulating there is always a chance. And 43 is still a common age to hear of it happening Smile

Rose - that made me lol about banging the boobs. I have done that so many times!! Haha

Chat - it's never too soon to get cracking!

Star - go for it! Mine would be a big age gap. 6 years minimum. Means yon can focus on the baby while the older ones are at school, and when they are all home the older ones can help! (In theory!)

Ameliel - have you had any other symptoms from the dhea? It is based on hormones but hopefully in the helpful way! Supposed to be very good for us oldies.

Ckc - I can't see an NHS gp being interested in our suppliments, however lovely and helpful that would be!
