All sounds positive rose, fingers crossed for you

Rose68 · 01/11/2018 11:40

Thank you for asking Cleo, I am better than I was at the weekend, no more spotting and the lower back pains have gone. I did go to the doctors on Monday and was told there is nothing to do at this stage other than ‘wait it out’. Which of course I know.
She did give me some hope of getting an early scan, so all being well I will find out more next week. xx

PetraRabbit · 01/11/2018 11:30

Ah Booseys.....I'm sorry! I agree that taking an "if it happens, it happens" approach is a good idea. If you do get any good news in the future, please come back to share it. In the meantime enjoy being a mum to your son. I am more hopeful than you seem to be but I am starting to accept that I am also very lucky to have a child already and trying to think more about that and less about the desperate hope for a sibling. It's really hard. Hugs.

Cleozeta · 01/11/2018 10:47

Rose - how are things going at the moment? Are you able to relax? The early stages are so hard!

Cleozeta · 01/11/2018 10:46

Boosey I was also tested but they said it was nothing serious 'just perimenopause'. Arseholes.

I have also been having the 'left it too late' panic, but my chemical has weirdly given me a boost. Just need to imptove my egg quality somehow.

Weasle - sorry you got bfn. I think it would be physicaly impossible to ignore ov signs, even if you tried. Its just such a rollercoaster every month its hard to keep life normal.

Mellon - not long now till your scan. Hopefully it will reassure you

Rose68 · 01/11/2018 10:41

I completely understand Mellon, if we get that far we will have the test. At the moment all I can focus on is getting to 6 weeks. x

mellongoose · 01/11/2018 10:21

Thanks folks. I will see what they find out first. If my risk is higher than I'm comfortable with then I will. My nearest one is out of county.

I will admit it is the thing that has been worrying me since the BFP. Others seem to think I am worrying unnecessarily. Easy for them to say!!

weasledee · 01/11/2018 09:55

So sorry you're feeling low boosey.
I'm beating myself up with the same "left it too late feelings" but we can't do that. You just do what's right at that point in your life.....
As for me, BFN on my AF due day. No surprises as have bad cramps
I'm so grateful for the 2DC I have, really think it's time to stop but how can I ignore ovulation signs each month? That will be the tricky thing....

BooseysMom · 01/11/2018 09:49

Thanks everyone. I can't find a crying emoticon! Your msgs have made the tears come out. I'm always on a hormonal roller coaster. I was so unnaturally high a couple of days ago I just knew I'd crash at some point. I've never really tried hard enough and I'm beating myself up over it. I'm going to be 47 next Feb. It just isn't going to happen ..I've left it too late Sad
But I really appreciate your kind msgs.
Cleo.. interesting about the palpitations...the way yours just went on their own. The doc tested me and it's nothing serious plus they said it isn't peri-menopausal.
Maybe I do need to step away from mumsnet for a time..I don't know. I do like being a part of this thread really though Smile

Cleozeta · 01/11/2018 09:45

Ooh good luck at your scan mellon! Let us know how it goes

Rose68 · 01/11/2018 09:38

Mellon - I hope it goes well for you on Tuesday! Are you planning to do the harmony test?
Cookie - I’m so sorry to hear about your line, fingers crossed that changes when your tests arrive. xxx

mellongoose · 01/11/2018 09:29

@CritterTamer brilliantly awesome news.

I went through a phase of thinking it's twins but this seems to have passed now. My 12 week scan is on Tuesday so I will find out then.

mellongoose · 01/11/2018 09:28

Sorry to hear you're feeling like this @BooseysMom. Do what you need to but I'm sure everyone will be here for you if you wish to come back. That's the thing with Internet forums. Some days I can do multiple posts then go days without losing looking at it. No harm meant.

Treasure your little boy and be kind to yourself.

Cleozeta · 01/11/2018 09:23

Mimosa - did you take the soy isoflavones this cycle? Sounds like you need to be increasing your oestrogen. Green tea is apparently good for that too

Lets - fingers crossed you get to try this month! How exciting to have things moving

Cookie - fingers crossed your line gets darker, no af is always a good sign. Let us know how it goes.

Rose68 · 01/11/2018 09:19

I’m so sorry you feel that way Boosey, it would be a shame to see you go. Sad

Cleozeta · 01/11/2018 09:18

Boosey - sorry you feel that way, it can be disheartening at times. And I'm sorry you got no replies. I actually meant to reply but got distracted (easily done with me), I was going to say I got the palpitations thing a fair bit last year but seems to have calmed down lately.
Anyway, I hope you are ok. Maybe 'giving up' is what will make it work for you (I have heard this can happen!)

Evug1234 · 01/11/2018 09:02

So sorry booseysmom that you are feeling so low..... move on if you really have to but my suggestion would be to just relax and not expecting anything from this TTC journey.... atleast thats what I am doingGrin......if it happens it happens

BooseysMom · 01/11/2018 07:57

Wow Critter! ..2 tiny babies!! So happy for you! Flowers

And lovely to hear from you with your amazing news Sparkly! Congratulations on the birth of your baby girl Flowers you did completely the right thing not being induced. I was 5 days over and nothing was working so had the dreaded induction and it just all went wrong from there. I was 40.

As for me, I'm gonna have to say goodbye girls. It's not happening and I'm giving up after about 3 years ttc. I sent a msg a few days ago and no offense but had no replies and I'm just not getting what I need from this. It's making me crazy obsessed and I just need to face facts and be grateful for our little boy. So Shiny please remove me from the list Sad I'm so sorry to be so low. It's best I move on now.
I wish each and every one of you lots of love and luck. .bye ladies x

CookieWaffle · 01/11/2018 07:17

Ahh Critter I'm so happy for you, that's wonderful news!! xx

Sparkly congratulations on your little girl! Glad everything went well xx

So my faint line became a stark white line 2 days ago. However, no sign of AF and cramping and sore boobs going on. Isn't limbo fun! Will be testing again when amazon delivers!

Letsdothis43 · 01/11/2018 01:39

@Critter! I have been thinking of you over the past few day! amazing happy news!

@Cleo Great that your results have come down some!

@Sparklyglitter Great to hear your positive story!

@Littlemimosa sorry to hear about the non ovulation :(

Here things are moving very quickly (or maybe not) my Period is due any day and the IVF Clinic I've chosen have decided to issue me a protocol after all, which I'm ecstatic about just means that my medication needs to get to me in the next few days for me to get started this cycle or it'll end up being January as December due to them closing around the time of EC would be out.

I'm excited, scared and every other emotion, prepared for it to fail trying to have a positive attitude either way but finally feel like something is happening!

PetraRabbit · 31/10/2018 22:26

Oooh Critter, that's exciting. Whenever newly pregnant women speculate about twins it never seems to happen...but not in your case!!! It must feel daunting but a ready made sibling is such a blessing.
Presh- good luck!
Sparkly- thanks for the hopeful story! The fact you took a year but got there in the end is good to hear.
LittleMimosa- sorry you're feeling discouraged. I find it hard to keep positive sonetimes too!

Rose68 · 31/10/2018 22:18

@Sparklyglitterball - Congratulations, what lovely news! Enjoy your little one.

@Floofsquidge - I am totally with you, for me it’s one day at a time.

@Cleozeta - I thought you might be happy with those results, much better than last time. I’m sure it’s going to happen for you.

littlemimosa · 31/10/2018 21:59

Hi sparkly, I remember you, congrats on your new baby girl. Lovely news. Homebirths are wonderful. Both mine were born at home.

Cleo - glad to hear you’re happy with your results. Amazing how they fluctuate isn’t it. I’ve no idea about treatments I’m afraid.

Day 25 here. Still no ovulation:( really getting worried and missing the hormones. Can really feel a difference without the usual oestrogen. Am v tired and depleted. Sigh.

weasledee · 31/10/2018 21:57

Congratulations sparkly lovely news. Love a positive story! Enjoy your new arrival :)

Chatbash72 · 31/10/2018 21:24
