@MrsMcnulty20 I'm only on month 3, and you've probably witnessed my poas mania!

No advice here. Just support.

MrsMcnulty20 · 16/10/2018 13:23

Hi all, hoping I can join in and also pick your ttc brains. I’ve been having a read and you all seem way more in the know and also share my recent addiction to poas!

I came off the pill on August and my last period (pill period) started on 23rd August. Since then I’ve had no period at all and have been waiting to get one before we properly started trying (but not using contraception either).

DTD on 4th October and that night and the next day I had what I think was ewcm. On the 6th I did an OPK and it was positive but not a really strong line. Then nothing until a little pink blood and some brown on the 13th and 14th and some brown on the 15th. Not sure if I’m reading into things too much (and imagining symptoms), but have done some tests in the last few days (I’m embarrassed to admit how many!) and just did a frer which was negative, although not morning pee.

I feel like I’m losing the plot a bit - which isn’t a great sign as we’re only just starting. Anyone got any thoughts?

Fingers crossed for all you waiting for your bfps!

KatBeCool · 16/10/2018 13:15

@FlapJackered 6mm is so much smaller, when you said 6cm, that seemed huge for them to be so calm about it. So nice to hear that you're ovulating, that's at least encouraging. It'll happen for you.

@Delilah7 you'll ovulate soon. Don't be so hard on yourself. Your body needs time to recover and set itself back to norm and it's possible that the norm is now different. Not saying irregular, but maybe a day or two longer. Don't immediately think that the worst is coming for you. It isn't.

@Lougg I think it's best to use the methods that work for you. For some people it may work to DTD every 2-3 days throughout the entire cycle without any sticks, and for others sticks help a lot more. For me, there's no way I'd be able to keep up having mandatory sex for more than a couple of weeks. There's no advantage to adding stress of not knowing if/when you ovulate if it was better for you to know.

rosti · 16/10/2018 12:31

Thank you so much everyone Smile

@Delilah7 we DTD twice in the fertile period this cycle - 3 days and 1 day before ovulation (positive OPK on the latter one). I laid down in bed for about 15 minutes afterwards both times before getting up to pee, though not sure that makes any difference. I had been taking inositol (teaspoon a day) for PCOS symptoms and Seven Seas TTC, as well as Omega-3 and an extra Vitamin D supplement as my levels tend to be low. Other than that, healthy eating and gentle exercise, sleeping well, and trying not to stress, which is hard when your job is difficult and you're an anxiety sufferer! DH cut back slightly on alcohol.

Main symptom was heavy boobs which progressed to sore boobs and then sore nipples and then really sore 'why are you putting us in a bra nooo'/'don't touch me, DH!' boobs and nipples lol

Delilah7 · 16/10/2018 12:25

Having a down day. Again. Ffs

sunshine1987 · 16/10/2018 11:04

@crossfitgirl spoke to someone about the day 21 tests and needs to be done 7 days period period is due so because I ovulated late this month I’ve pushed it back from tomorrow to Friday. I ended up ovulating day 19 so having the test day 23 (should have been 24th but that’s a Saturday and can be done two days either side). Hope that helps xx

*cry a lot, not get a lot! I'm going to go and cry a lot!

rosti · 16/10/2018 10:00

14dpo, AF was due today. Made myself wait until this morning. I am in utter disbelief but at the same time feel like I knew it. Except I kept suspecting it and then thinking 'nope, there's no way'.

The only test I had was an expired (April 2017) Boots one (middle) and so I had to run and get more and not let myself get too excited. This is pretty conclusive, right? It's my day off today so I'm going to go and get a lot now and pray for a sticky bean.

Good luck to all of you lovely ladies and thank you so much for your advice and emotional support. My fingers are crossed for all of you!

Sorry for long post!

sunshine1987 · 16/10/2018 09:56

@flapjackered oh gawd imagine saying 6cm instead of 6mm, no wonder you were worried. Really good sign if they are going to wait until March before looking again, means they aren’t worried xx

FlapJackered · 16/10/2018 09:38

So good news from the doc is I am ovulating! 🎉 also that 6cm cyst is actually 6mm 😂 - stupid scanner man needs to be careful with slips like that. I have been looking at the satsumas on my fruit bowl all week thinking and worrying 'that's the size of my cyst!' - although 6mm is still not considered small apparently, it is MUCH better than I had imagined! They are going to check it again in March.
So there is no reason for my irregular cycles which I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Delilah7 · 16/10/2018 08:39

@Lougg he's still coughing but we managed to BD last night. Only twice in the last week but he's been unwell and it's made me very tired as his coughing keeps me up! So I don't mind tbh! 😂

OP posts:
Lougg · 16/10/2018 08:12

@Delilah7 is DH feeling better? Hope he's well enough for some BD.

I think we'll hope to try SMEP this month. I'll tell DH to prepare himself!

Delilah7 · 16/10/2018 08:09

@Lougg that sucks hun!!

I'm CD15. Flo said I'd ovulate CD13 which would probably be my normal date on 28days or CD14. However I haven't had any CM or pains and that didn't come last cycle till CD19 I started getting the CM! x

gjchapman · 16/10/2018 08:08

@MrsR16 thank you. Yeah me to :(
@Delilah7 thank you And you.
@FlapJackered that's what I fear rejection and it feels like it when he says no, I know it's his right to not be in the mood but I'm willing!!
Feeling a bit better as we did the deed last night so just a few more to persuade him to do 🤔

Lougg · 16/10/2018 08:07

@Delilah7 it's so annoying, I thought not testing would reduce stress but somehow it's led to my longest cycle! We booked a holiday next week thinking that would be my FW but clearly I'll ovulate way later now. Boo!

Remind me where you're at in your cycle currently?

Delilah7 · 16/10/2018 08:04

@Lougg I was the same last month hun which is why I know I've not ovulated yet. Gonna be a long cycle. AGAIN. :(

OP posts:
Lougg · 16/10/2018 08:00

I'm so frustrated, still no AF 5 days late and a BFN. I clearly ovulated way later than normal, which would mean we basically missed DTD at the right time. I found it so much more relaxing not testing and temping but I'm clearly going to have to as I obviously missed O this time. I haven't had a cycle this long for a year.

FlapJackered · 16/10/2018 07:38
