@EssJayyCee I wasn't on a pill but had a coil before ttc and my periods are now super light too. But apparently still normal as well.

Crossfitgirl · 07/10/2018 11:34

@Robync19 that's a definite positive!
@essjayycee Yes me, I'm not much help as I was on the pill for so long i can't really remember very well what my periods were like before, but I think mine are possibly a bit lighter. Mine only last about 3 days as well. It's still classed as totally normal as far as I'm aware. Plus your cycle can take time to settle when you come off the pill.
Xx

Welcome @abzi91!

Abzi91 · 07/10/2018 11:24

Hi, is it okay if you join you all? Smile
It's our first month and first time TTC. I'm 1dpo and I've just been googling and researching everything! After reading around this thread and on mumsnet im thinking OPKs are better than just relying on apps!
Fingers crossed for you all!

RobynC19 · 07/10/2018 11:04

@Crossfitgirl I think the test line is as dark or darker than the control line what do you think ? Fingers crossed ovulation tomorrow think gonna try dtd today tomorrow and Tuesday to cover all bases

Hi ladies!
I was just wondering if any of you were on the pill before TTC?

I came off it middle of July and am on my third cycle since and I've realised all of my AF's have been alot lighter and shorter than previously.

They used to be up to 7 days of bleeding.
Now I'm lucky to get 4 days. Is this something to worry about? Does it affect my fertlity/conceive-ability??

Crossfitgirl · 07/10/2018 10:43

Welcome @PeoniesforMissAnnersley!
Any symptoms other than late AF?
I also have PCOS so hoping it's a nice BFP for you to give me some hope!

@robync19 I'd take that as your positive, what's it look like now? Ovulation pending tomorrow by looks of it!

RobynC19 · 07/10/2018 10:33

@Crossfitgirl
I used to be quite heavy, did another opk just and the bottom one is like 30 seconds ago and already that dark the top one is the one from yesterday

Welcome @PeoniesforMissAnnersley!

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 07/10/2018 09:14

Can I join? TTC first baby, I’m 33 and have PCOS. Currently waiting for AF who is 7 days late and have had BFN on every test all week!

Crossfitgirl · 07/10/2018 09:08

Thank you teachermummy83 have a great hol and bring us back a BFP!

Crossfitgirl · 07/10/2018 09:07

@cookiewaffle @katbecool ignore them, every journey is individual, who gives a fuck if it took someone else 4 years, or if someone else "just stopped trying " and it happened? Not us!!
Keep trying... honestly! What do people think you're doing? Lol.
Xxx

Crossfitgirl · 07/10/2018 09:02

@Robync19 looks like your surge! How often have you tested with the OPKs before? It's not quite positive but I'd class it as fertile, as it looks like the type I get either a short time before or after my positive. You could be about to get positive or just missed it by a teensy bit... I'd say ov is on the way.
Have you only had 2 periods in the 7 months? And were they usually light before you went on birth control? They do say it can take a while to come back to normal xx

CookieWaffle · 07/10/2018 08:06

@KatBeCool oh tell me about it :) someone told me to 'keep trying' the other day and that it took their friend 4 years. I was thinking, great, thanks for that useful advice Hmm. No I'll just stop trying for a few years, I'm in no rush (internal screaming).

KatBeCool · 07/10/2018 07:41

@CookieWaffle ehh, being 40 and ttc is tough. I'm right there with you. And when people say "oh don't worry, sometimes it takes years" I just want to smack them. I don't have years! Every month feels like seven.

CookieWaffle · 07/10/2018 05:54

@Teachermummy83 have a lovely holiday xx

@RobynC19 It's almost positive but not quite. It could be diluted or just not there yet. Either way, DTD and keep testing :)

Teachermummy83 · 06/10/2018 23:55

Well that’s me officially switching off ladies (or trying to anyway!!!) - we’re leaving for a long awaited holiday Down Under in the morning so I’m hoping to not stress about this TTC malarkey in the hope that relaxation is the key to a positive result. What will be will be. Fingers crossed the next time I set foot in european soil, it’ll be with good news. Fingers crossed for everyone else too - we’re definitely due some positive news on the baby front - who will it be I wonder?!! Good luck all xxx

RobynC19 · 06/10/2018 19:43

Been away for a while as been finding ttc emotionally hard been off birth control for 7 months now with two periods both super light one lasting 15 days with no positive opk or clear blue ovulation strips. Did a clear blue ovulation strips this morning and randomly did a opk this morning am I seeing things or is this a positive opk. This is the darkest I have ever had and came up super quick. This is cd 20 but 15 were a light period and just had some spotting

Hi, do you mind if I join you please?! 👋😊
This will be our first month TTC but I have been reading along with you all on this thread and the previous threads for quite a while in the run up to being able to start TTC myself. I’m 24 and currently on CD2!

Delilah7 · 06/10/2018 18:40

@CookieWaffle I feel the same. Especially after the MC. X x

CookieWaffle · 06/10/2018 18:11

Yeah I mean I should be lucky i can tell myself I got pregnant twice in 6 months at 40, just gotta make it stick now! This month was a weird one, I think I ovulated super early so mightve missed the timing a bit.

Delilah7 · 06/10/2018 18:07

@CookieWaffle I bet! That's why I feel bad moaning. I was so lucky to fall pregnant 3rd cycle and now on my 6th I feel like I've waited ages hahaha xxx

OP posts:
CookieWaffle · 06/10/2018 18:05

Thanks ladies. Yep it's definitely tough especially when you've waited so long before you could TTC. Now it's just torture lol xx
