Morning ladies

Well I am CD37 today, not sure what dpo which is part of the problem. I have had quite a few twinges overnight so tested this morning, BFN. Must be out for this cycle and just having a delayed period. Going to plan next cycle much better as keep missing ovulation. Or am not always ovulating perhaps. Will research temping...

Thanks
Newbie21 · 23/09/2018 23:50

weasledee · 23/09/2018 23:03

Bobo just popping in to say how hopeful your last update post was, didn't want to read and run! Fingers always crossed you and everyone on the thread!
I'm still lurking.... :)

KnitKitty · 23/09/2018 22:50

I'm excited to see who gets the first BFP on this thread. I think we're about due a few!

I'll probably be quiet for the next week now ladies as will be entertaining OH's parents. But I will be reading your posts.

keebo · 23/09/2018 22:50

Evening everyone. Sorry to see new people here, our club just keeps growing. Place marking:
Age 34
Ttc #1
Mc 1 in March at 11 weeks was medically managed
Mc2 in Aug at 8 weeks was surgically managed

DH and I have decided not to ttc this month, first proper cycle since mc2. My acupuncturist recommended waiting 3 months (not sure I'm patient enough for that) and currently awaiting the gynea appointment after gp referral. We decided we'd wait to see what they say before embarking on the journey again. I hope it's still ok to stay on here, it's so helpful to have penguins around! Fx for those of you who are ttc this month.

Russkispy · 23/09/2018 22:16

@hellotoyellow , both my IUIs were done at the private clinic back at home and my next IUI would be there too and even IVF if it comes to it. Hopefully it won't come to it but I'm open to all options. And won't stop till I get my BFP! In the meantime, my DD1 keeps me sane and I just get on with things. I'm not sure what dpo I'm at the moment. Very confused with dates and gave up on re-calculating. Time will tell! And how many dpos are you now?!

YellowDaffodils86 · 23/09/2018 22:14

Good news is me and DP have a week away from next Monday , just the 2 of usSmile. Hopefully we can spend this holiday relaxing and getting to enjoy each other again.

Boboelephant · 23/09/2018 20:21

@agteacht fingers crossed it's good news for you. I do feel more positive for the moment. Not sure how long that will last but I'm trying to hold onto it. This has been a 2 year journey so far which is soul destroying so need to take the small wins!
@strawberrye thanks for the info about levothyroxine. So good that you've had such a great response to it. I'm not sure what I have been tested for yet but they said on Friday they were testing for three thyroid related things so maybe.
@Blondcat happy holiday JKS!
@hellotoyellow thankyou. Good luck for you- us one tubers gotta stay together!
@doddlebobs good on you for chasing answers.

hellotoyellow · 23/09/2018 20:15

@Russkipsy hello TWW buddy! Thanks for telling me about the IUI, I am undecided whether to try before IVF if we do end up doing it privately this year. No free iui in my area.

doddlebobs · 23/09/2018 19:31

So my roll call:

Doddlebobs

Chemical/ early Mc in August, 5 weeks by LMP.

Currently CD20/8dpo. Will be testing on Thursday ahead of any tests I can convince the gp to do for me. Trying to hold off until then despite my 7dpo silly blip yesterday!

Welcome any newbies and sorry you find yourself here.

Currently in fw while on hols so fx this is the month but trying not to get hopes up too much just enjoying the relaxation.

strawberrye · 23/09/2018 16:39

@Boboelephant I've been taking it for about 3 months now. I had my TSH tested in November and it was 3.0, then again in May when it was 3.7. I also have thyroid autoantibodies which means I'm at risk of developing Hashimoto's (and unfortunately higher risk of miscarriage) in the future - and I wonder whether I was actually heading that way considering the change in my levels over only a few months - although of course it could have been a coincidence. Started on levothyroxine in July after my GP asked endocrinology advice about it at my request. Biochemically I've had a good response to levothyroxine - my TSH went down to

agteacht · 23/09/2018 16:33

Hi boboelephant

Thank you! My cycles can vary from about 28-35 days. When I found out I was pregnant in January I was on day 44. So 37 still feels a bit early to test (probably just scared of a BFN!)

Sounds like your appt left you full of positivity! Thanks

Boboelephant · 23/09/2018 16:24

@strawberrye it's understandable. It's always harder when we see a visual reminder of where we should be in pregnancy. I saw a few 3 and 1 year old siblings today which is what I would have had and it was very painful. Good to hear someone else is on levothyroxine! How long have you been taking it and what were your tsh levels? Do you feel any different? Hopefully your levels have settled and thats the missing piece of the puzzle!
@Lovemysparkle thankyou lovely. Sending lots of sparkly love back to you.
@agteacht welcome and I'm so sorry for your loss. How long are your cycles usually?

agteacht · 23/09/2018 16:03

Hello ladies, is it okay if I join?

35 years old, ttc for #1
Miscarriage in January at 8 weeks, he or she would have been due on September 4th.

Didn't try for a while as couldn't face it. But we have been trying again for the last few cycles. Although I haven't been confident in always ovulating, test lines never that strong.

This cycle I am on day 37 and no AF yet. Feels like AF is coming but if it doesn't soon I will test. I don't feel pregnant though.

Sorry for all of your losses. Hoping for good news for us all soon ❤️️

Lovemysparkle · 23/09/2018 15:19

@boboelephant so glad that you have some answers from your appointment your positivity is amazing & shines through ❤️ And like I said earlier pregnancy, birth & miscarriage is such an unknown territory & by you sharing your experiences could then prompt another lady to investigate which is why it is so important to have people like you & threads like this😊 and I’m all for awareness it gets the message out there for all different walks of life.
Following on from what I said earlier do what you have to do & never second guess or doubt yourselves especially when your well being, mental health & dreams are at risk!! As always I’ll follow you all everyday & check in from time to time & if anyone needs advice re-rmc etc just shout ❤️❤️

strawberrye · 23/09/2018 14:56

@Russkispy @Mistymeow @KnitKitty @hellotoyellow @hayleyfx @boboelephant Thank you for your kind words. I think the BFN hit me extra hard this weekend as I saw a friend who is due not long after I should have been with my first pregnancy – made it very hard thinking I should be as big and pregnant as her, yet here I am no further along to becoming a mum.

@Mistymeow how are you getting on in the TWW?

@KnitKitty that’s a shame about the time of your in-laws visit. Can you manage any ninja JKS?

@RedRobin7 that sounds like a very brave thing to post on Facebook. I too am planning on writing something on there in October in pregnancy loss awareness week, just haven’t quite found the right words yet

@hayleyfx your collages are so beautiful. Thank you for sharing them with us.

@lovemysparkle lovely to hear things are progressing well.

@boboelephant glad to hear the appointment was positive. Welcome to the levothyroxine club! I’m getting mine monitored next week and hoping it’s settled into a good range for conception and pregnancy.

InDreamland · 23/09/2018 14:44

@boboelephant so glad it sounds like you are getting some answers and that you sound more positive for the future. Hopefully you'll soon get your BFP and DC#2!

Boboelephant · 23/09/2018 14:31

@RedRobin7 thanks for starting new thread. I also think your fb post sounds great and very brave. You're right that every baby should be talked about. Nice to see you back.
@hayleyfx your collages are beautiful. Thankyou for sharing little Charlie with us. I second everyone about how inspirational you are. Re: your spotting. I had this cycle 2 after MC just a few days before ovulation. It was almost like bleeding to signal fertile week starting.
@strawberrye I'm sorry for bfn hun. I know the feeling but am positive it will happen for you.
@Lovemysparkle so nice to hear from you!! I have often thought about you and your lovely sparkliness. What a lovely message, you always brighten the thread. And thankyou for your beautiful words. ❤ So happy for you and that you've reached 20 weeks.
@sweetpea0318 sorry to hear you're having a tough time. The days where everything seems too hard can really hit you out of the blue. Hope you're feeling better today.
@doddlebobs 7dpo is far too early as you know 😉 so hopefully it will turn to a bfp later. I think asking for tests is a great idea but I would test at 12dpo before going too.

Thanks to all of you who asked about my appointment. It went really well and the consultant we saw was amazing. Some of you may remember the one I saw in March who was a total douche face... so this was a relief! Turns out 6 months ago my tsh levels were borderline for underactive thyroid which he didn't pick up. So they are most likely worse now and this can effect fertility. I had another blood test and will find out levels tomorrow but they basically need to halve to be peak fertility level. I've been put on levithyroxine which will be monitored in 6 weeks. Also getting a hsg xray tomorrow to look for any scarring or adhesions in my remaining tube and uterus. I found out I have adenomyosis so they say this doesn't affect my fertility but does mean my uterus is most likely inflamed. Once all these tests are back and if nothing in the next couple of momths, we will be doing ivf. She thinks we have a very high chance of success so fingers crossed if it comes to that. Feeling more optimistic than I have in ages so it was worthwhile going private!
