@hayleyfx looking at your tests I will say yes you are defo pg. I would take the folic acid definally and give her her sample. Please don't worry its not good for you. Surely with your past pgs you could call the epu and they would see you with out her referral anyway.

Tiniestsky · 16/11/2018 18:58

@hayleyfx she sounds pleasant, it's like one extreme to another isn't it? Either doctors don't wanna know until you're at least 7 weeks and don't pay attention to you or they're making you feel stupid.
I'm currently trying to get over my first mc without knowing for sure I had one, all I'm left with at 5 weeks is guessing and assumption.
I hope you get some good news soon x

hayleyfx · 16/11/2018 18:18

Sorry for posting again 🙈 but just looking at my positive tests and thinking surely the doctor is wrong? & I’ve missed my period now. Doubting everything after that appointment. Feel like screaming.

Btw sorry I’m probably overreacting. I think it’s the hormones combined with my tiredness and worry - everything is getting to me haha 😬

Feeling really down now after that appointment 😣 at first it was fine, dr said she’d refer me to the EPAU at 6 weeks for a scan and gave me a stronger folic acid dose. Then I left and got a phone call from the dr basically saying that she doesn’t believe me that I’m pregnant. She wants to me to go in and give a urine sample on Monday before she’ll consider referring me. As I had a scan about 3 1/2 weeks ago that showed I wasn’t pregnant at the time and was just about to ovulate - because of this she said I can’t possibly be more than 3 weeks pregnant. I said to her that you usually add 2 weeks though and go from the last period? Yes 2-3 weeks since I conceived but technically I’m 4-5 weeks. She said nope. You’re 3 weeks pregnant, maybe only 2. But I’ve been testing positive for a week... so before I even ovulated?? Makes sense 🤔 I told her the urine test will definitely be positive as I have about 20!! Positive tests at home and she just said “okay if you say so...” I’ve really let this get to me 🤦‍♀️ Am I totally wrong? I’m confused now. & I’m telling myself that I must not be pregnant. She finished it by saying “take the folic acid if you want to anyway I guess in case you are pregnant...” Wish I didn’t bother with the doctor now!! 🙄 sorry for ranting!

@Laney79 thank you for asking, I should have left it! Also really hope that they’re all good signs that you’ll get your BFP this month. Twice is still enough to do the trick! Will keep my fingers crossed for you 🤞

Laney79 · 16/11/2018 17:20

@Yukka pleased you have a diagnosis now-as much as you hope nothing is wrong better to know what you are facing and at least you can treat it now. Fingers crossed for you.

@hayleyfx how did the appointment go today?

As for me I think I'm trying to convince myself I'm pregnant. I'm about 6dpo (positive opks thurs/fri/sat last week!) but have been experiencing tender boobs, lots of CM and also some pain/discomfort on my right side (had something similar when I caught with bow). I know it's unlikely as we only successfully dtd twice -once the Saturday before the positive opks (so pushing it unless OH spermies are super long lived!) and the only other time was Sunday morning just gone.

I've not had an AF since my miscarriage ended...desperately want it to be true but wonder if it's that desperation giving me symptoms rather than actually being pregnant. I'm driving myself nuts aren't I?

Russkispy · 16/11/2018 14:49

did a test this morning and could see a very very faint line. Hardly visible. Run to London to get blood tests done so I don't second guess it. Sadly it's Negative. And now moving onto IVF. Next month. Still staying positive!

Rachyxxx · 16/11/2018 10:51

@PurrMaid
This is exactly where I was at the beginning of September. So I know exactly how you are feeling. Sending you all the love and luck for your journey back to TTC.

@InDreamland thank you so much for the welcome. It’s so nice to have somewhere I can come to talk, and to realise we really aren’t all alone in this horrific place, and to help eachother realise there is hope for us all.

Xxx

PurrMaid · 16/11/2018 10:28

Hello ladies, would like to join the thread. Found out 2 weeks ago I’d had a MMC when I was 9+2. Had medical management on Monday, just waiting for the bleeding to stop. At the moment, I feel like the only way to get over my heartbreak is to be pregnant again. As soon as we can we will be trying again, will probably wait 2 more weeks to and check I’ve had a neg HPT before starting. Sending good wishes to everyone xx

InDreamland · 16/11/2018 10:03

@Yukka it's great that you have answers, or at least some answers and hopefully with the extra support and care you'll get your next baby will go full term and you can bring them home all happy and healthy.

@hayleyfx it's good you'll also get additional scans for your next.

I really need to look into private testing. Found the Lister Clinic online but no idea if they're good/reputable.

InDreamland · 16/11/2018 09:59

@Tinestsky it can be difficult to accept it's happened because it's your hopes and dreams.

@Luxembourgmama that is so unhelpful of her to say! So you miss your period, you're a few days late, what are you supposed to do? You think you could be pregnant so you take a test. How early is too early for her? When does she think you should test, when you've missed 2 periods? Ignore her, test when you feel you're ready to.

@MeghanV07 I think that sounds like a plan.

@Lilimum5 it is crazy isn't it! I hopefully you get the -ve HPT and AF soon so you can start again.

@Melpops sending you massive hugs!!!!!!

@Rachyxxx sorry you find yourself here. All the ladies here are so so so supportive even though it's the worst club in the world to belong to.

@Clumsykitten thanks for sharing your experience, it does help hearing how different others found the very early mc's. This one was very different to my 12 week one. I'm really hoping I can enjoy this holiday. I'm so anxious about going away now, just generally worried about something going wrong.

I'm waiting for the bleeding to stop and I think I am just going to start TTC again straight away. I'm 38 so feel like I'm losing time. I've got terrible lower backache today, never had this before. I really am feeling like the whole universe is conspiring against me.

Lilimum5 · 15/11/2018 22:00

@Melpops36 sending you healing thoughts, I know a little bit of that feeling too as I had the same problem but it had to be resolved by surgery, thank fully my baby came before that. How old was your little baby if you don't mind my asking.

My little baby was 9 weeks old and beautiful. I'm so glad I got to see him/her.

I hope you have a quick recovery xx

Melpops36 · 15/11/2018 21:46

Had my little bean today after 12 hours of medical management. Got stuck in cervix so quite painful but relieved it’s over.
Onwards to recovery. Feeling sad to leave him there though.
@haleyfx congratulations to you, all my love.
Thanks to all for your kind words. I’ll have a proper catch up tomorrow, very tired now xx

hayleyfx · 15/11/2018 21:44

Just realised I wrote hun instead of mum @Lilimum5 my head is all over the place, sorry 🤦‍♀️😂

hayleyfx · 15/11/2018 21:40

@Lilihun5 thank you hun, I hope af starts soon for you so you can get out of limbo x

@Mistymeow @InDreamland I totally agree, I really shouldn’t be testing! 🙈 I’ve not got any tests left so stopping now. It just feels like I only believe it when I’m looking at a positive test! Got a dr appointment tomorrow so will talk to them about how I’m feeling. Have already been told by hospital that in subsequent pregnancies after Charlie I will have more appointments and extra scans at 8-9 weeks, 16 weeks & third trimester (if I ever make it that far 🤞) so that’s a bit of a relief. Just taking it one day at a time right now!

@Yukka I’m glad that you finally have some answers and that it’s treatable! Having some control over the situation always makes you feel a bit better. Glad you’re doing okay! X

Yukka · 15/11/2018 21:30

@lilimum5 it’s antiphospholipid syndrome or Hughes syndrome was the old name. It’s a blood clotting disorder that causes miscarriage. Whilst it’s rare, it’s the most common diagnosis for women who have had recurrent mc xx

Lilimum5 · 15/11/2018 20:58

@Yukka that's productive news but what does APS stand for

Yukka · 15/11/2018 20:27

Hi ladies sorry to see the new joiners here, hopefully you’ll find it a safe and helpful place to share, ask questions, rant, and anything else you feel like xx

Finally I have an update .....test results came today and it’s confirmed I have APS. Yikes. Dh not home yet so letting it sink in. Next pregnancy I’ll start Heparin injections and treated as high risk, 2 weekly checks and a few possible complications to avoid, but, it seems to be the most treatable condition to have so I’m grateful for that.

Doesn’t change the fact I’m 39 and there are a thousand other reasons why I could have miscarried these babies but this is at least one if them I can control to a degree.

Feeling ok. I think. AF due sat/sun.

Xxxxxx

Hi guys

Hoping I can join you, and hear your experiences and share mine.
TTC after losing twin 1 at around weeks, and twin 2 at 10+4
This is now month two TTC after an MVA procedure end of September.
Sending all ladies who have suffered the loss of a baby lots of love ❤️ And lots of luck to those TTC again xxxx

MeghanV07 · 15/11/2018 18:11

@InDreamland that's what I'm thinking? Give myself 3 months of tracking my temp & if I don't fall pregnant or don't have any confirmed ovulation I'll speak to my GP.

I don't think you'll be in anymore pain or have any more cramps. I found that the minute I passed the sac, all pain disappeared.

@Luxembourgmama that's horrendous! I can't believe she told you not to test too early 😱. As if that's any help?!

It's crazy what your mind does to you @Lilimum5 😔. I'm finding myself wish AF was here all the time now, it's the only time I don't obsess or worry xxx

Lilimum5 · 15/11/2018 14:43

I've entered limbo. Mc bleeding has stopped and now waiting for AF bleeding to start. Hope af hurrys up. I can't believe it after a miscarriage is the only time I beg for AF to show up and for a - ve hpt. It's like someone flipped the world upside down.

How are you ladies doing?

Luxembourgmama · 15/11/2018 10:58

@InDreamland i had one at 5w6 days a few weeks ago and it was fine physically just like a heavy period. My obgyn was a bit shite and said the don't count chemical pregnancies and there is nothing they will do until i have 3. FFS. I'm frustrated now. We're still trying but i'm convinced there is something really wrong. I had a MMC which was discovered at 9 weeks and then the one at almost 6 weeks last month. So frustrated. All she said was don't test so early. Eugh.

Tiniestsky · 15/11/2018 10:51

Morning ladies, sounds similar to how mines gone which although I'm happy that stupid seed of hope keeps nagging at me that maybe I didn't mc after all.
I had some cramps, had what was like a period with some clotting and then it stopped and have been fine since.
Only difference is I'm the opposite with POAS, stupidly I feel like if I don't do a pregnancy test to confirm it has passed I don't have to accept it has happened. Not exactly the most healthy approach I know :(

InDreamland · 15/11/2018 10:14

@MeghanV07 thank you for sharing your experience. I just wanted to know if what I was having was normal and if in now just having a period after passing the majority on Sunday. Sounds like that is probably the case for me now. At least I hope so.

I can understand the POAS obsession. I'm trying to control it, I'm worse after I get the static smiley as there's no POAS unless AF doesn't show. Could you maybe get a stash of IC ones just for the next couple of months to see if you are ovulating? Then if you're still worried see your GP in the new year? x
