@Yukka congratulations that's a nice strong line, keeping my fingers crossed for you that this is a happy and healthy pregnancy! I hope my line gets nice and strong like yours. How many weeks are you do you think?

Lilimum5 · 19/11/2018 10:52

@Yukka congratulations

Yukka · 19/11/2018 10:23

Morning ladies @straweberrye that looks good, I would start the aspirin as they may not do second aps test as hcg hormone can mess with the results. I don’t know if that’s ‘standard’ or just my consultants opinion. 75mg....

Also, looks like we’ll be going through this together. Got my bfp this morning. I’m totally shocked. Just spoke to consultants office and they will call me back with initial plan soon xx I’m speechless xx

How do/did you guys get past the anxiety and fear of loss to try again?
I keep having these various nightmares of different scenarios that leave me so drained and scared all day x

Lilimum5 · 19/11/2018 09:04

@strawberrye morning lovely. I hope your OK. If you don't mind I will still keep my fingers crossed for you. Look after yourself and remember we are here for you what ever the outcome xx

strawberrye · 19/11/2018 06:32

@Laney79 @hayleyfx @Russkispy @Beaglemum93 @KnitKitty @Rachyxxx @fnej01 @Lilimum5 thank you all, I did a FRER this morning (attached) and the same type of internet cheapy I did yesterday. FRER has a faint line which came up within 2 minutes (picture was taken within the time frame but since drying has become more pink) but internet cheapy is negative. I can't really help feeling like I know how this is going to end, especially as with my first two losses my BFPs were quite faint. I guess all I can do is wait and hope and try to stay relaxed. Ordered some more FRERs to test with in a couple of days if I don't start bleeding in the meantime.

@strawberrye congratulations hun. I'd take the aspirin anyway it can't hurt I don't think. Good luck with the test tomorrow xx

Lilimum5 · 19/11/2018 00:13

I'm so fed up ladies thought I was done with the mc physical part anyway but no started bleeding with clots again today. I didn't know this could happen after erpc that was on the 4th and it's now the 18th. Could it be af even though I still have hcg in my system. So confused what do you ladies think.

Rachyxxx · 18/11/2018 23:13

@fnej01
So sorry to hear about your two loses.
Following my miscarriage and MVA surgery my first period was very heavy and sudden. I didn’t have any cramps just back ache. Followed by an extremely heavy flow which came whilst I was at work and totally unprepared. I had to send a female colleague to get me some super night pads. As I was soaking one in an hour. 😞
However there is good news. It was only two heavy days then a few days of light bleeding turned into spotting.

My next period has arrived earlier than expected but it is pretty much normal in flow.

Hoping it’s not too bad for you!! Xx

fnej01 · 18/11/2018 22:54

@strawberrye I'd definitely take the aspirin. I was recommended after first mc on the basis it will do no harm x

fnej01 · 18/11/2018 22:51

Hi All,

Welcome to the newbies and so sorry for your losses, but glad you have found this way to such a supportive group.

@hayleyfx congratulation lovely strong line. Got everything crossed this is your rainbow.

@strawberrye I can definitely see a line. Fingers crossed you get a lovely line on a FRER tomorrow

@KnitKitty Glad you had a good break and feeling rejuvenated

I'm awaiting first AF following two consecutive miscarriages. Having some serious cramping today am I in for a shocker of a time this month and a heavy bleed? I don't normally get pre cramps so it's making me nervous. After first mc,AF was relatively normal. Would be good to know other experiences so can be prepared. X

Rachyxxx · 18/11/2018 22:39

@Beaglemum93 I had an MVA procedure and got my negative after around 8 days. If that gives you any inclination of timescales. I suppose the fact I had surgery ensured all products had officially gone. Xx

@strawberrye I can see the line!! And hopefully that’ll only continue to get stronger! Keep your chin up and look after yourself. Sending lots of love and luck xx

I am feeling particularly down today. So I’ve come on here to have a little moan.
Me and my ex tried for 4 years unsuccessfully. Then me and my current partner fell pregnant after 4 months together without even trying. Then sadly we lost our twins.

Now we are on month two since MVA of unsuccessful TTC. My cycles are a lot shorter than they used to be. So I’m wondering if I am actually ovulating. I just don’t know what’s happening.
Considering they say you are super fertile after miscarriage/MVA - clearly I am not.
It’s so hard, and so upsetting. Plus today I’ve been at a friends baby shower. It’s just brought it all back to me that I would now have been nearly 21 weeks pregnant, and I would have known what we were having. But instead I’m sat here very unpregnant and feeling really shit. 😞

KnitKitty · 18/11/2018 22:31

Hi ladies,
I haven't been around for a week or so. I had a much needed relaxing trip to the lakes with OH and have had a fantastic week. Feeling really relaxed and happy.
TTC isn't on my mind at the moment, as we're taking a break. I had been feeling really sad about not trying and frustrated before, but I'm actually feeling ok about it now and really glad of the break.
My body is still acting a bit strangely. Last cycle I had what I think was another very early loss. I started brown spotting CD22 after ovulating on CD13 (I think), accompanied by mild cramps which then went away again after a few days. I continued with brown spotting, which got gradually heavier until CD29 and then the next day started my period properly which was painful and heavy, and the bleeding lasted a further 5 days (my normal AFs aren't heavy or painful). So AF stopped on Tuesday of this week (just in time for some holiday fun Wink). But I've had a tiny amount of brown spotting again yesterday and what could have been ovulation pain today. I've never had spotting during ovulation before. Do any of you get it? Is it normally brown spotting? Also, I'm only CD10 (going from when the 'proper' bleeding started) and before last cycle the earliest I had ovulated was CD17.
I'm having acupuncture at the moment. My last appointment was CD8 (a day before the brown spotting). Do any of you have experience of your cycles completely changing when you've had it?
Still waiting to hear when RMC appointment is going to be. But feeling patient and just seeing it as time for my body and mind to heal a bit more.
Feeling a lot stronger and contemplating other options a lot which is helping me feel much less hopeless.
Also wondering about starting OPKs again next cycle even though we're not trying, just so I can have a clearer idea of what my body is doing, because it's acting very oddly at the moment!

I have just been trying to catch up with everyone's news. Sorry not to reply to you all individually today.
Hi to the newbies, sorry for your losses, but welcome to the group.

Special hugs for those of you who have recently had a loss, and especially to those of you who thought you were growing your rainbow. Penguin cuddles!

@hayleyfx I feel safe to say this now: Congratulations! Ignore the stupid witch who made you doubt yourself, you're 100% pregnant. I hope it sticks around and turns into a beautiful little rainbow.

@Yukka Having a diagnosis both sucks and is a good thing at the same time. It sucks that there's something wrong. But the good thing is you have an answer, and a way forward in the future. Hopefully they can find the right treatment now to help you have a sticky and successful pregnancy. But I know you must be feeling a bit shitty, so hugs for you. xxx

@strawberrye I can see a line. Would it harm taking the aspirin if you're not pregnant or diagnosed anyway? I would take it to be on the safe side if I were you. Hoping the line gets darker quickly. xxx

Beaglemum93 · 18/11/2018 22:07

It looks positive to me @strawberrye
Tentative congratulations! Fingers crossed for you that the line will get darker and that you have a healthy and uneventful 9 months!

Russkispy · 18/11/2018 21:34

@strawberrye , I can the faint line too. Tentative congratulations! Hope it turns darker in the next couple of days!

hayleyfx · 18/11/2018 21:30

@strawberry I see a faint line, I’ll be keeping everything crossed for you testing tomorrow 🤞 sorry don’t have much advice but I really hope this is your BFP!

Laney79 · 18/11/2018 21:25

I think I see it @strawberrye - keeping fingers crossed for you. I've had two early losses and waiting on test results but my consultant has already said take baby aspirin from BFP in future on the basis he doesn't think it'll harm but might help. I'm 39 so he could also be thinking it's my age so worth trying just in case.

strawberrye · 18/11/2018 20:11

Right ladies I think I got a squinter this morning, not feeling very hopeful about it as it is so faint and I'm at least 1-2 days late. But I'm really in two minds about whether to start taking aspirin 75mg? No formal diagnosis but have had 2 losses around the same time and had 1 borderline positive test for antiphospholipid syndrome (need 2 positive 12 weeks apart to confirm diagnosis, due to get 2nd test in a couple of weeks). What are your thoughts? Doing an FRER tomorrow.

@Yukka I’m glad you’re feeling okay. It’s great that you now have a plan of action. I’ve got so much hope for you!

@tiniestsky thank you so much. I also hope this is all over soon for you, it makes it so much harder when everything is dragged out. Good luck. To answer your questions with two of my losses I got my first AF about 6 weeks after them both. With my earlier losses my cycle was only a few days longer. They usually say about 4-6 weeks but everyone is different. In regards to trying it’s totally up to you. Doctors say to wait as it can make dating a pregnancy difficult, of course it’s clear after the first scan though. It’s just whether you feel ready to TTC again yet, totally a personal decision. I’ve usually always gone straight into TTC again after my losses as it distracted me however I understand it being a bit soon for others x

@InDreamland thank you! Honestly felt like I was crazy after that. I told her that I’d taken loads of tests, all strong positives and she just said “but I need proof, don’t want to waste epu’s time” as if I would lie!! 🤦‍♀️ So sorry to hear you’re having a hard time, I hope things start to feel easier soon. Sending hugs Flowers

Tiniestsky · 18/11/2018 16:23

Should I expect my first period aprox a month after a mc? I'm generally a 31 ish day cycle
also I mc last week, would you recommend not trying again before my next period?

Beaglemum93 · 18/11/2018 15:33

@Laney79 I'm using FRER and they're faint positives but it just seems like it's taking ages to go down. Theoretically it should at least be down to 2 by now given that the half life of HCG is 24-36 hours which would be negative even on the FRER tests... I guess it just doesn't quite work like that but I just want to be able to try again

@Lilimum5 sorry you're going through this too :( the waiting is so frustrating. I'm not sure about ovulation with HCG still in your system. Most people say you can't but some people say you can so I guess it depends on the person.

Lilimum5 · 18/11/2018 13:34

@Yukka thanks I'll give them a try just as soon as this stupid body decides to let go of the hcg and then I can ovulate.

To make matters worse DH won't come anywhere near me until after first af just in case. Kind of feeling like an experiment at the moment and just want to feel like a person again.

Lilimum5 · 18/11/2018 13:27

@Beaglemum93 I'm having the same problem. I had surgery on 4th and I'm still getting a positive even last night on a 20/25miu test. I know it's only 2 weeks but it's longer if I count when my baby came out on 31st October. Starting to feel like I'm never going to be back to normal.
Am I right in thinking as long as there is hcg in my body af and ovulation can't happen. I just want to try again as soon as possible, my age is not on my side and its like I can hear that block ticking.

Yukka · 18/11/2018 09:17

@lilimum5 I don’t use the monitor but use clear blue sticks which I’ve mastered pretty well. These are the ones that give you no face, flashy face or static smiley face when ov is due. It measures both oestrogen and lh hormones so it’s more accurate. I also keep the sticks as you can see the lh line getting stronger through the days until it peaks. Then I test twice a day until it goes back to normal. Doing this I’ve found my lh peak is usually in the evening of the day I get a static smiley 😊 in the morning hope that makes sense. I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️ If the monitor really gives you any more information?

Laney79 · 18/11/2018 08:18

@Beaglemum93 what tests are you using lovely? Most hpts are designed to only turn positive at 20/25miu I think-there's a few that do 10miu, and then frers which I think are 6miu?

How strong a positive was it? X
