Hi ladies, I had IVF and was very lucky it worked first time and I have been blessed with twins who are now 15 months. Last week I felt nauseous and had really bad heartburn (which I only had when I was pregnant) so I randomly took a pregnancy test 2 days before AF was due and it was positive!!! To say I was shocked is an understatement. Anyway of course I've been peeing on sticks left right and centre but I'm worried my lines are getting lighter? Here are my tests but wondering what you ladies thought. I guess I'm technically 4+2 now. xxxxx

That's good all I saw at my 5 week scan was a thickened womb lining then by the next week baby was there with a heartbeat Shock

Lolly2803 · 28/09/2018 13:48

She said on Monday hopefully see the start of something else like the yolk sac? But who knows!

GreenMeerkat · 28/09/2018 13:32

Yes, there's not really a lot to see at 5 week as no HB yet.

Lolly2803 · 28/09/2018 12:57

Had a scan. Saw pregnancy sac that's all. She said that's what she would expect to see at 5 weeks. All looked normal she said. Wants me back Monday to see more. Is that normal at 5 weeks?

Good luck. Flowers

Lolly2803 · 28/09/2018 09:07

Called them. They said come in before 12 and wait x

OP posts:
Lolly2803 · 28/09/2018 08:47

Yer true. Maybe I'll call then.
I dunno I just now am feeling like I thought I couldn't get pregnant. It's bad timing and although I'd be happy if it worked out I should just wait till Friday and see what's what. If it's going to go wrong there's nothing anyone can do about it. So I should just put this whole thing out of my mind u til Friday unless I start bleeding heavily before hand.

Call epu they can do blood tests I had them done with my second x

GreenMeerkat · 28/09/2018 08:12

Its worth a call. The EPU may be able to do the blood tests.

Lolly2803 · 28/09/2018 08:03

My GP did say about the blood tests but the earliest appointment I could get was the day before my scan next Friday at 6+1 so seemed a bit pointless!
Do you think I should call the EPU or just hold out till next Friday?
It's SO hard this not knowing isn't it!!

A scan wouldn't be able to tell you at this stage as heart won't have started beating yet, so they will probably just ask you to return in a week or so. You could ring them anyway and see what they advise. Your GP can also do blood tests to see how your HcG is rising which may be a better indicator at this stage. And also cheaper than using so many CB's!

Lots of people have spotting in early pregnancy, just rest and try not to worry for now. I know it's hard Brew

Ironytheoppositeofwrinkly · 28/09/2018 07:43

Op, I know it's hard to relax, but honestly, if you were going to miscarry, I'd have expected it to have happened by now. In my experience, the spotting doesn't last very long before it turns to heavy red bleeding.

Lolly2803 · 28/09/2018 07:42

I don't know honestly but it doesn't seem like this would be good news. I was going to ring the EPU today and see what they say. I'm 5+1 I think so maybe a scan would show if I'm going to miscarry? I don't know but I wish I knew.

Thinking of you op. Could it be implementation bleeding? I always had it to the extent I wore a pad, assumed I wasn't pregnant and kept on drinking...

Lolly2803 · 27/09/2018 19:40

Bit more brown off and on. Again just when I wipe and not all the time. This mornings CB still said 3+ weeks. But keep thinking if the brown is coming off and on more it can't be good so just preparing myself.

anitagreen · 27/09/2018 19:37

How you getting on?x

Lolly2803 · 26/09/2018 15:32

ignore all symptoms.
I have been pregnant 7 times, and have 3 kids, and had every symptom under the sun, and also pregnancies with none.
There was no pattern between the pregnancies which went to term and the ones which didn't

also had quite a bit of bleeding on and off for my ds who turned out to be a massive healthy 10lbs. And no bleeding at all, but missed mc for one of mine at 10 weeks.

You will kill yourself speculating.
You are pregnant, there is no reason at all to say this one will or won't stay. Enjoy it. I know the waiting is awful. Good luck for your scan on Friday

anitagreen · 26/09/2018 11:00

Told you it'll be okay and the fact your still getting higher levels on the clear blue makes me think you'll be fine with my miscarriage they was dropping so fast it was ridiculous and I'll test Saturday x

Lolly2803 · 26/09/2018 06:43

Morning! This mornings CB still says 3+ weeks. I'll do one on Friday again and see. Don't understand it! What makes you think I'll be ok?

When are you testing?

OP posts:
anitagreen · 25/09/2018 21:25

You'll be ok I honestly think you will be goodnight xx

Lolly2803 · 25/09/2018 21:04

Thank you! I'll let you know.
Nope nothing at all. Keep reading this seems to be how m/c start though. Feeling sad and heading to bed x

OP posts:
anitagreen · 25/09/2018 20:57

Good luck but I reckon you'll be ok any more cm?x

Lolly2803 · 25/09/2018 19:57

I can't because if it's gone down then I'll only blame it on being the evening and the others were all done FMU so I'll do one at 5am. Am prepared for bad news though.
