i posted this in pregnancy but probably should be in here...its a bit of a long one... i was on the depo for one injection, finished last decemeber i never had it redone...and bled and bled and bled...had to go on the patch contraceptive to sort it out, which it did, came off patch had a normal period beginning the 16th of may...then on the 31st of may i had asort of jeely like dark brown smear, just the once...then nothing. About 4 days later i started feeling sick. then i began to get sore boobs and i did a test about 4 days ago, an ebay dip test style that came up a faint but pink positive. obviously i was delighted...told everyone because i am a fool...but then got BFN's when i next tested. On the same style tests i have faint faint lines, but they are not getting stronger...on first response, clear blue and tesco brand, nothing at all. I dont know what to think. i recently got diagnosed with cystitus this morning too. any thoughts?

I'd add to that....your hormone levels are very high first thing in the morning....so I'd definitely do your next test first thing.....by the sounds of it I wouldn't give up hope just yet...wait and see time I'd say!

rozzyraspberry · 11/06/2007 15:17

Have you tried not weeing all night and doing a test first thing in the morning when the hcg will be more concentrated? I got a BFP on a clearblue digital 3 days before AF was due using first morning wee.

well i did the second clearblue test as i am a POAS freak and just couldnt resist...after 5 mins...i thought i could see a little vertical line appearing...by 8 mins i could see a line. Faint and it was only faintly blue coloured on the left hand side of the line, then it just faded to the right...if i was pregnant then i would only be 3 weeks 5 days...the clear blue test says you have 10 mins before the result is no longer valid and it was there by 8. but faint faint faint. GAAAH. anyways, still not saying i am preggers, not going to think it until a few days time where i will know either way.

Hiya....that's the attitude I'd have. It is so demoralising when you think you 'maybe' and it turns out you're not... It took me 5yrs to get pregnant the first time. It was an awful time and each month I used to keep my fingers crossed and each time I came on with the dreaded hated period....After my first child it took me another 4 yrs to get pregnant with my second child and it was again a case of sitting with my fingers crossed each month. I found it was beginning to rule my life and I dread to think how much I spent on pregnancy kits - in a way I became obsessed with getting pregnant especially with our first child. There was many a time I would be sat on the loo sobbing my heart out knowing my period had just started. I used to question why it was so easy for so many girls to get pregnant and why not me? Second time around I used to say 'well atleast I already have one child'...because there are so many women out there that are desperate for just one child and simply can't have them, even with IVF. xx

feelinbloo · 10/06/2007 19:53

thast what i am doing at the moment, though i am going for a blood test tomorrow but until i get any results from it...i am not preggers

If you're due on tomorrow you really ought to leave it for a few days....I know....easier said than done but you've got to give your body a chance to get its hormones sorted out to get a definite reading. I had a very faint line once, in between both my children and was absolutely certain I was pregnant and then I did some more kits in the days afterwards and the line disappeared...and true enough I wasn't pregnant. I think sometimes whilst these kits say they are 99.9% accurate it all depends on the individual. Some women find their hormones are up where they should be once they fall pregnant, others are not. We're all different! I'm not saying you're not pregnant but look at it this way...take it you're not pregnant and then if you find out that you are it'll be such a lovely turnaround rather than thinking you're pregnant and facing the disappointing realisation which is bound to upset you dreadfully.....xx

feelinbloo · 10/06/2007 19:47

yes lol, i am a nightmare, i did a wilkinson cheapie today..didnt realise you needed a pot to pee in to do it, so i just wee'd on it then stood there scratching my head as to why it didnt work at all LMAO i am such a dunce

Tescos own are to be used from 1st day of missed period, soI would do another test then. Sorry, you really will spend all your money on this won't you? LOL

Good Luck!

feelinbloo · 10/06/2007 19:17

i am due on tomorrow i think but not ure afetr the depo...it would be 27 days from last period then.

OP posts:
barney2 · 10/06/2007 16:00

Oh dear..... how overdue are you for a period? xx

feelinbloo · 10/06/2007 09:27

i did test this morning, tescos own brand, dipped it and got a big fat negative, not even a faint line.

OP posts:
archiesmummy · 09/06/2007 23:36

But then if you are you will spend 9 months doing nothing but thinking of babies LOL

Hope it goes well for you, do let us know the reselt of your next test, plz

feelinbloo · 09/06/2007 23:31

oh barney lol i didnt mean to come across as if i felt you were patronising, not at all, you were only saying exactly what i am thinking, i meant it honestly when i said i really do wish i could chill out with it, i have been a bit of a nightmare to live with this last week, it would be great to not think about babies for once!

OP posts:
archiesmummy · 09/06/2007 23:16

Yeah, 4th time since it came back after baby.

Thanx feelinbloo, I'm sure it will all be ok. Just keep buying those tests

barney2 · 09/06/2007 23:12

Sorry....I didn't mean to patronise!!! I know how you feel - I've been there twice myself and I was sooooo excited that I may be pregnant the first time I wanted to tell everyone....and couldn't wait the 9 months I WANTED THAT BABY NOW!!!. I was told I couldn't have children - my dh and I spent 5 yrs trying, trying, trying and nothing. It was so hard because all my friends were popping babies out here and there and I had nothing. When I then suddenly started to feel the symptons of early pregnancy I was in buying kits - spending so much money in the process, but I didn't care. When I said 'sit tight and chill out' I meant give it time... a faint blue line may simply indicate your hormone levels are still a bit too low to give a definite positive reading. Try again in a couple of days. Honestly, I know how you feel...two days is a long time but you need to give your hormones a chance to catch up!

feelinbloo · 09/06/2007 23:10

aw sorry archiesmum, AF is really a witch isnt she. best of luck for next month (i may be joining you yet)

archiesmummy · 09/06/2007 23:03

feelinbloo , well done on giving up

archiesmummy · 09/06/2007 23:02

Oh absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to tell everyone.
I did to, but I didn't tell anyone the first night as I wanted to do a 2nd (3rd if you count the negative/positive one) test next day and when that test was positive as well I felt like I would jinx it if I told anyone

Tesco do tests for just £2.99 for 1 and £3.88 for 2.
I bought one today but it really was negative and minutes later I got AF

feelinbloo · 09/06/2007 23:01

i love that...sit tight and chill out, i would SO love to do that but i am one of those infuriating highly stung manic people that just cant do waiting. i really try, honest i do but by 10am all i can think is..get a test...do a test..imagine a line...its my own fault i know that i am in such a mess, and am slowly going bankrupt on testing but i just cant help myself. Yet for someone whom is so weak on pregnancy testing, i stopped smoking four days ago, on the day i got that faint BFP...just like that. weird huh.
