@ranchorelaxo I am gonna stick to the cheap ones next month. I mean, I do have enough CBD left for another cycle so may as well use them, but then just cheapies.

I did get a static smiley last month but it was like 2 days after my positive OPK. I stopped testing with the cheapies after the first positive last month so wonder if my surge lasted 2 days last time as well.

Crossfitgirl · 26/09/2018 07:43

@flapjackered @katbecool I test 2-3 times a day with the cheap ones, but just fmu with the clear blue. If I tested twice a day with the clear blue once I got flashing smilies, I would need more than one pack of 20 in a month as it's been 10+ days of flashing both cycles I've used them, and I'm not paying 60 quid a month!!

Huge temp rise this morning, and OPKs went back to very faint lines yesterday so if it's still flashing I'll leave it and stop testing.
Ov was clearly either Monday or Tuesday. Just dont know which day as had 2 days of positives!
Now for the wait!!

Delilah7 · 26/09/2018 07:35

@FlapJackered I'm with you too. Feeling cranky. Which I am happy about as I'm CD27 and would normally have a period at CD28 so hoping she's being nice and going back to normal! As last month it was CD31.
Unfortunately not. He doesn't really care about how others feel. Never have never will xxx

FlapJackered · 26/09/2018 07:28

@sunshine1987 sorry about the temp drop, I think I will be following you shortly.

FlapJackered · 26/09/2018 07:26

So I was so tired last night my pity party ended early (it was a bit of a flop) i fell asleep at 7.30! Slept 11 hours. I can't remember the last time I slept that long. I was expecting Af to be here but she has decided to play silly buggers with me and is still not here and temp is still up. 🤨 Feeling very crampy though as if she could show up any time.

@Crossfitgirl I didn't get my static smiley this cycle but I saw my temps had risen so there was no point in carrying on with it. Have your temps gone up yet? If yes then I would ditch them, if not then I would keep going as one cycle if you remember it took me 14 flashies to get my static!

@Delilah7 I am sorry you're feeling so low darling. I know it's hard but try and find some techniques to have some time out from the stress, maybe mediation or go for a massage. It's really important to not become overwhelmed by it.
Can you write your brother an email or letter and just explain to him calmly that his actions are really upsetting your mum and you?

Welcome to the mad house @Dosmamas :)

Delilah7 · 26/09/2018 07:22

@sunshine1987 think I'm with you Hun. CD27. Periods normally 28 and I'm getting a few little cramps. Funny though as flos saying in 5 day's I'll have a period which would be 31 day cycle which would be the same as last time after MC xx

OP posts:
KatBeCool · 26/09/2018 07:21

@sunshine1987 I'm sorry. AF is a cruel wench.

sunshine1987 · 26/09/2018 06:53

Temp drop this morning which means she’s right round the corner, bloody cow bag. Even though I thought I was out this month anyway I’m still feeling fed up. Onto the next month....

RanchoRelaxo · 26/09/2018 06:33

@Crossfitgirl I had trouble with clear blue digital ovulation too, I did get the static smiley in the end but seemed to get a positive cheap opk first, I think it isn't as sensitive, especially when you get the static and have to test during the day, found it much easier to get a line on opk

Delilah7 · 26/09/2018 06:23

@cupcakesandglitter I'll get there babe xxxx

@Dosmamas honestly this group is amazing xxx

@stormtrooperjulian yeah possibly Hun xxx

@KatBeCool don't worry I've been stuffing my face Hahahaha xxx

@Delilah7 it'll pass, keep being strong. Try to remind yourself that this is temporary and good things will come your way, including the baby. You're capable of getting pregnant, that's great and super important, you're already ahead. Stockpile that chocolate!

@Crossfitgirl do you test twice a day? Also, if you missed it, it'll switch from blinking High to the sad Low pretty quickly, within a day or day and a half.

Dosmamas · 25/09/2018 22:15

@Crossfitgirl GrinGrinlol I made two accounts! This explains so much, my original account kept saying I hadn't verified it and wouldn't let me post so I created a new one, but got completely confused about the whole thing. Had no idea I was posting on two accounts, my iPad must be the other account name.

My DP and I know our donor, he is very old friend of my partners, we were originally going to use Cryos (Viking babies) same as your friend. We still might to be honest, our donor lives about an hour away and it's a hassle getting to him.

Crossfitgirl · 25/09/2018 22:12

Also just read back and realised I missed a few posts for me a while back (well like yesterday) sorry! Just too many to keep track sometimes x

Crossfitgirl · 25/09/2018 22:10

In other news, despite 2 days of pretty strong positive OPKs Sunday and Monday, the clear blue was still a flashing smiley this morning!

Is it possible for the clearblue to miss it, even with strong positives on the others?

If it's not solid smiley by tomorrow I may stop testing, as the second line has now nearly gone completely on the OPKs. Thought I'd keep testing both just to see.

Might scrap the clear blue ones next month. Too expensive to be missing my surge!! Had 10 days now of flashing smileys... I'm pretty sure it's lying to me.

Crossfitgirl · 25/09/2018 21:58

@dosmummas @dosmamas are you both on here or are you just using 2 different usernames? Lol!

No, my friend has only tried it once so far as it's so expensive, and as with most of us on here it didn't happen first time.

I'm not sure where they get the donor from, whether it's an agency / company but they pick their donor from stats (can choose similar traits to themselves I think like hair colour, ethnicity etc) then the sample is posted to them frozen in dry ice. They used 3 samples for their first cycle, and are now saving to try again but I think they will just use one each cycle and maybe try time it around ovulation.

Are you using a similar thing?

Sorry it's quite personal but you'll soon find out we share FAR too much on here!

I'm also just genuinely interested, as my friend although open when asked, very much keeps it on the quiet and I think she and her wife have agreed not to really talk about it to people, to take the pressure off xx

sunshine1987 · 25/09/2018 21:41

@dosmummas I tested yesterday and was a BFN (I’m a fruit loop and should have waited). I’m coming on now though so I’m out.

I have friends that used a sperm donor too, they have a 1 year old boy. The IUI worked first time for them x

Dosmamas · 25/09/2018 21:33

Thank you! @stormtrooperjulian Smile

stormtrooperjulian · 25/09/2018 21:29

Welcome @dosmummas 😊

@Delilah7 sorry you’re having family stress. Can you take your parents out somewhere nice this weekend to take all your minds off things?

I’m back in the uk after my trip and not enjoying the cold, I’d got used to being warm again!
I think I’m around 2dpo, based on cramps and sore boobs. Didn’t bring opks away with me so can’t pinpoint it exactly. So on to the tww!

dosmummas · 25/09/2018 21:27

@sunshine1987 will you be testing on Thursday?

dosmummas · 25/09/2018 21:26

Thanks @Delilah7 for the thread and welcome. So happy to have found such a supportive group of people to chat, worry and have a giggle with.

@cupcakesandglitter fingers crossed for you xo

@ValidUser it's the worst, I've had enough of this, honestly my mood takes such a nosedive I have done the most embarrassing emotional crap when I am PMS, it's so not fair on my partner. I started my period today and I feel instantly better. Periods have a lot to answer for honestly. What do you do to manage PMS?

@Crossfitgirl your friends who used a sperm donor, have they had success yet?

cupcakesandglitter · 25/09/2018 21:15

@Crossfitgirl no idea how long my luteal phase is, as I couldn't pinpoint ov last cycle I don't think! Also I know about the folic acid 😩 my anxiety is through the roof right now

@dosmummas welcome, I was due on Monday Hun - I'm now CD33 xx

@Delilah7 oh sweet, please remember to look after yourself, your mental health is so important right now xxx

Delilah7 · 25/09/2018 20:48

@FivexFive probably. OH goes away from Friday to Sunday so I'm gonna miss him. Having dinner with friends Friday. Thanks for your support. I'm so moany at the moment haha xx

@sunshine1987 think you're right there it's just all about house stuff at the moment too 😂😂

OP posts:
sunshine1987 · 25/09/2018 20:27

@delilah you and hubbie need to get away for a weekend, turn your phone off, ride him and don’t leave the bed. Properly relax, even a nice spa. Spend some time just you two 💜

FivexFive · 25/09/2018 20:26

Sending hugs Delilah7. Families are hard. Don't beat yourself up. Is there anything you could plan maybe, like a little something to look forward to, to break up the stress? Even just a day out with your other half or a meet up with friends? Sometimes having little nice bits on the calendar helps me if it all starts feeling like a grind xxx
