Just to clarify re generics (and I know I'm pedantic), each company's dose could be off, but it's consistently off.

Regulations allow up to 20% discrepancy in dose, but if the manufacturers don't change things (and they don't tend to) it's consistent.

As such, problems can come from switching between brands, but not from using one rather than another.

And on a less pedantic note, I've gone from low to peak fertility. Funny that!

@KatBeCool did you get your medical exemption certificate? We hypothyroids get free prescriptions which is a nice perk! Just ask the doc next time you see them, if you haven't already.

@FlapJackered I'm on 25mg. Dr insisted I take the brand name so that the dosage is more accurate, she said generic brands can be off by up to 20% in either direction.

@KatBeCool it was due the 25th/26th I have mostly had a 12day luteal phase but one cycle was 13 days. Never longer though. So I suppose it will probably turn up tomorrow. So frustrating.

Are you on 50mg? I would have thought that would do the job as your tsh is only a little bit high like mine.

@FlapJackered I guess you just answered my question about your AF while I was typing it. Maybe wait a few more days to test again? If the temp is up, maybe you'll get your bfp still. I've seen plenty on 15-16 DPO.

@FlapJackered they did, I started last week! The Dr said that since I'm TTC I should for sure start taking it and they won't wait until I retest. The first test last month was 4.8. Dr even said that if it's not under 2 by the next test, she'll increase the dose. When's your AF due again? I thought it was the 26th?

Someone kill me! 14dpo - af is 2 days late and temp is still up but negative frers! Where is af!! 😩

@KatBeCool it was 4.96 on my first test and they were mean about giving medication as I was borderline so tested me again 2 weeks later and it was 7.6 and then it went down to 2 point something within 1 month and now 4 months later is 1.7. What is your level again? Have they put you on levothyroXine now?

@FlapJackered what was your TSH level and how fast did it get to norm after you started taking the medicine? My next test is in a couple of weeks and I'm hoping it's under 2!

@LilMrsSunshine the last digital OPK I bought was faulty. It never showed a result other than low while internet cheapies were clearly positive. I used new sticks from the broken reader kit with one of my old digital readers (same pee sample) and it was a solid smiley. Maybe it's the case with you too. I can definitely see positive in your photo.

Welcome @rj995 - smep sounds like it often gets the job done! I have tried it but lost the energy, it was a 47 day cycle on the one I tried though so it definitely was never going to happen!

@Dosmamas sorry about AF, I think I will be following tomorrow too.

Hi everyone, i’ve been watching this chat from the sidelines for a week or so, so decided to join in and say hi!
TTC #1
AF finally showed yesterday CD37 (4 days late for me, latest i’ve ever been) so it was a relief to see some others on here were experiencing the same.
Congrats to those who got their BFP and looking forward to sharing the journey with those of us who are still waiting!
Thanks for the advice on the SMEP @dosmamas (sorry to hear about AF too but at least you enjoyed the process!)
Going to try SMEP this cycle, fingers crossed.

Argh, so my partner is home from work and has said that AF is here. So I guess that's us out this month. It's been fun though. It's certainly brought us closer together this month.

@Crossfitgirl @cupcakesandglitter I've looked at others peoples and they have them negative or positive I think from what I've seen! Who knows. I'll wait and see what Monday brings. I've got cramps so it's probably AF. - not that I mind this time xxx

@delilah7 is the left box meant to have another vertical line? I've not seen those before.
I think you have to discard them after 30 mins anyway but yeah just test again if AF doesn't come xx

@Delilah7 looks sort of grey like an evap... I'd test again though if AF doesn't turn up, just in case. But!! Someone I know had a false positive with a Sainsbury's test xx

@Delilah7 I'm sure after the 30 mins they aren't reliable, but then I've read some threads where ladies have checked them after by chance and it was positive... post the pic lovely xx

On the other hand my lovely ladies, when does a pregnancy test sample expire? I've gone and check a test I did 2 or so days ago I think. And it has another line on it now. I'm obviously not saying I'm pregnant but sainsburys tests are bad for evap lines aren't they? I have a pic if you'd like to see hahaha xx
