@sunshine1987 thank you! When a second line appears would the line get darker as I move into my fertile week or is it just a case of no second line until the day of the LH surge?

Malichick · 16/09/2018 11:20

@Mrsof20118 Defo no EVAP! COngratulations :D :D :D

@MrsR16 Yh haha almost Twinnies!

feverbee · 16/09/2018 11:19

@mrsof20118 congratulations! That definitely looks positive!

Crossfitgirl · 16/09/2018 11:13

More than happy to take full blame for that BFP @mrsof20118!
I hope it's not a false positive, 7dpo is very early but it's also a very faint line, so figures. And you can implant as early as 3dpo I've heard.

I'm assuming you'll test again tomorrow?

@flapjackered if a lie would get me pregnant, I'd lie till I'm blue in the face!!

I'm deliberating about lying to the doc about how long we've been trying, or whether to just be honest and say I have PCOS and want reassurance, but risk them still just saying wait a year.

When I do go (mayne next cycle or 2), I may say we started in Feb when I came off the pill rather than in May when we stopped using condoms.

FivexFive · 16/09/2018 11:08

Mrsof20118, congratulations!! :)

sunshine1987 · 16/09/2018 11:07

@feverbee yeah that’s a negative as there’s no second line. Though would wait for the test to become white rather than the back colour to be the dye before double checking x

Delilah7 · 16/09/2018 11:03

@mrsof20118 honestly so happy for you. I have no idea with temping 😂 I'll let the other ladies answer that xx

Thank you all for the congrats. I will take another test with the first wee tomorrow to see if it's stronger xx

mrsof20118 · 16/09/2018 10:53

@delilah7 I know three couples who have had twins in the last year!
Looking at my chart maybe I could have done around 6th or 7th. It went up and dropped slightly before going up again but maybe I had a blip in taking temperature that day?

Hello everyone! TTC baby #1, second cycle.

I've decided to use OPKs but I'm looking for some advice, would this be considered a negative? After dipping the stick, it flushed red to the green bit, is that normal? Never used them before and I think I'm over complicating things Blush

TIA and happy BD ladies Smile

@mrsof20118 that’s a very clear positive! Congratulations! x

mrsof20118 · 16/09/2018 10:38

I'm in a bit of shock if it is. I blame you for poas @Crossfitgirl your crazy talk gave me an excuse to be crazy too!
This is the thing I'm probably only 7dpo . It's still too early and may be a false positive? Tested with second wee test after a massive cup of tea.

Delilah7 · 16/09/2018 10:32

@mrsof20118 so happy for you hun xxx

That's s BFP @mrsof20118 congratulations!!! 🎉🎉🎉

Delilah7 · 16/09/2018 10:21

@mrsof20118 that's no evap line, CONGRATULATIONS. THIS THREAD IS SO LUCKY 😍😭

FlapJackered · 16/09/2018 10:21

WAHHH! @mrsof20118 That's a definite bfp! Congratulations! I had a good feeling for you this cycle. You must be so happy!! 🎉🎉🎉🥂🥂

@MrsC87 I use both IC from amazon and clearblue. I like using both as if one misses it I hope the other catches it! That makes for a lot of poas though 😂

@Crossfitgirl oops I shouldn't really encourage lying on clearblue trial. To be fair I didn't lie about my hypothyroid and I thought that would exclude me but it didn't. They excluded me after the first cycle though as it lasted 47 days! So I don't think they include any results in their study unless the cycles are a normal length. I am not sure how I feel about that though as it is not very representative of the average cycle!

Crossfitgirl · 16/09/2018 10:10

Oh I can see it now @mrsof20118 omg omg it's a BFP!!
That's too dark to be an evap line!!

BFP!!!! Aaargh Congratulations!!!!

Crossfitgirl · 16/09/2018 10:09

@mrsof20118 no pic attached...

How many dpo are you?

mrsof20118 · 16/09/2018 10:08

Ladies... need your help. Couldn't resist poss even though it's way too early. Is this evaporation line? This was after just 2/3 mins x

Crossfitgirl · 16/09/2018 10:08

Ooh also the clearblue ones are POAS once in a morning which is more convenient than peeing in a pot and dipping later in the day. Xx

Crossfitgirl · 16/09/2018 10:07

@mrsc87 I think the cheapies ones work fine. Plus you can do them more often so you don't miss the surge.
The difference with the CB ones is they identify fertile days so you can start DTD in the lead up to ov, whereas the cheapies just give you the positive so 12-36 hours notice of ov.
But if you have a rough idea of your FW you could be DTD every other day or so in the lead up anyway. Plus some of us get faint lines in the lead up to the positive so I guess you could say that was like fertile days too.

Personal choice I guess.
I'm using both at the mo, haven't decided which I prefer!

MrsC87 · 16/09/2018 09:52

In terms of OPK's are particular ones better, so the clearblue ones or the cheapie amazon ones?

sunshine1987 · 16/09/2018 09:39

Sorry just seen @crossfitgirl’s post after I posted mine, looks like it’s closed

sunshine1987 · 16/09/2018 09:36

For those wanting the clearblue trial details, this is the one I did;
