After all that desert sand, we are in serious need of slightly damper place...

This one is a hamam, complete with essential oils and thick Turkish towelling bath sheets. Mosaics on the floors, marble pools. You get the picture. It still needs some decorating though.

We have had a few graduates (OK, quite a few), which is good, but time to dust off the old Hut for those of us who are still barren.

i thought lissie is taking aspirin?

hoping she is ok, she has been quiet the last day or 2.

duchesse · 04/07/2007 12:12

I'm not entirely that would help Lissie, Newkid. Her problem as I understand is the amount of scar tissue present in her uterus and tubes, that cause repeat ectopics and miscarriages. It may be that there are other issues, and i know that aspirin helps where there are clotting problems with the woman, but am not sure it would help Lissie.

So sorry to hear about the losses for lissie and rainbowdays.

Lissie, if you have had a number of m/cs, have you had any medical advice on ways to maybe help? I have a friend who had about five m/cs prior to having a successful pg. She was given aspirin and that seemed to help.

duchesse · 04/07/2007 10:02

Oh god, have you noticed those weirdos as well? Surely they arent for real? How the feck am I supposed to know if they're pregnant?

Oh yes, using my special powers. The ones I use to get pregnant when I want to...

Hi sorry I have bounced up and feeling too ok to really be here, but I wanted to come back to see how Lissie is. Thank you all for your kind words, it really did help. I have been pleasently surprised at how nice my body has been to me over this, I keep thinking it can't be over yet, but hey if it is then it is!

Babybratt - do moan, this is the place for it!

This place is a safehaven from the odd people that keep posting weird things like "am I pregnant" and expect an answer!!!

BabyBratt · 03/07/2007 16:07

I was coming in for a little moan but then I read the threads.

I am so sorry Rainbowdays, I know that doesn't really help but at least you know you are not alone.

Lissie I am thinking about you to.

Hope everyone else is ok and I will chat later

Impatience · 03/07/2007 11:00

Rainbowdays, I'm pleased you and dh are able to talk and cry freely about this. That sounds healthy. My heart goes out to you.

Rainbowdays · 03/07/2007 09:23

Thanks for all the messages, I spent much of yesterday crying, but it was quite cathartic in a way, I was dreading coming to work today and having to test the babies this morning, but I survived and it was ok, I think I was just running on autopilot, but it was ok. My dh and I had spent the previous day laughing and joking about names and we had started calling the 'baby' Thomas. It is strange how it has seemed to have helped to acknowledge the little life, even if it did not last for long. So overall today I am feeling much better, but I don't suppose I can say I am over it or recovered, but time will help.

Lissie, they told me it was no point in scanning as there would be nothing to see! I am not sure that is exactly true, but I was pleased to be able to know the hcg levels were decreasing, just to know for certain. I hope that the doc is sympathetic with you today, and I really hope that they will start taking it all more seriously for you and look into if there is a reason that you have had so many losses. Hope you are taking it easy on yourself. I did take the day off yesterday, and I am glad that I did, I needed the time to greive with dh and spend time at home.

Impatience · 03/07/2007 09:16

Lissie, Rainbowdays, how are you doing today?

kensgirl · 02/07/2007 17:49

Lots of love to you both, Lissie and Rainbowdays.

Ready · 02/07/2007 17:44

I can't think of anything suitable to say. It's terrible, and I am so sorry for you both.

Soreheart · 02/07/2007 16:33

Hello Lissie, I'm so sorry. It's just too crap to talk about. And also, echo all the messages to RainbowDays - it's supersonically rough and vile to go through any kind of m/c. Well done for telling your boss.

I wish I really knew how to handle m/c so I could say something inspirational. But I haven't worked it out so far.

Bloody raining again.

spugs · 02/07/2007 15:41

sorry girls, dont know what to say, agree with the not going to work thing though. I stayed off 2 weeks till i felt up to it. Look after yourselves xx

Feedmenow · 02/07/2007 15:17

I had a bit of a "do" at the weekend, so am donating my leftovers - plently of beer and wine (sorry not to have anything stronger...), as well as crisps, nuts and dips and some large gooey white chocolate and raspberry concoction. Have also pilfered a virtual spliff (of Bob Marley proportions)from a mate to pass around....

Sorry to hear of all the crap

Impatience · 02/07/2007 14:05

Oh Rainbowdays, that's just so sad. I'm so sorry.

Not a good day in the hut today

mslucy · 02/07/2007 13:43

Lissie and Rainbowdays - my heart goes out to both of you.

you must tell your colleagues - m/c is nothing to be ashamed of and it is important for them to understand why you may not be 100 per cent when you return to work.

be gentle with yourselves.

scorpio1 · 02/07/2007 13:18

ok, just sending some love your way x

lissie · 02/07/2007 13:16

shit, i dont know what to say. im sorry.

scorpio, will see my gp tomorrow and ask for a scan then just to make sure. tbh tho, i know whats happening. im in quite a bit of pain now

scorpio1 · 02/07/2007 13:15

RD.....hope you are ok, have some rest x

Rainbowdays · 02/07/2007 13:13

Well Just had it confirmed, my hcg levels have dropped, will have another test next week to check that they are back to normal. I have been crying most of the morning and decided to tell my boss, who is sending me home. I could not focus on work anyway so it is best that I go home. The bleeding and cramps have started. Thank you lissie for being understanding. I wish we were not here in this place right now, but it is nice to come back to some familiar names.

scorpio1 · 02/07/2007 13:07

lissie, have you been to EPU/docs to confirm you are mc-ing?

lissie · 02/07/2007 13:05

oh rainbow days, im so sorry. if you think it will help then tell your boss. a mc is a mc, regardless of whether its your 1st or your 20th and whether its at 4w, 5w or later. i do think you should take the day off and grieve. im not going to the epu, but i see my gp tomorrow anyway and will ask her about a scan just to make sure. how are you?

fellow hutters. thank you for your support. tbh, im not really surprised. which is probably the saddest thing about this sorry mess.

Ready · 02/07/2007 12:40

Sad Sad Sad Sad

duchesse · 02/07/2007 10:32

Oh Lissie. Oh Rainbowdays. Poor poor you. This is so crap for you.
