After all that desert sand, we are in serious need of slightly damper place...

This one is a hamam, complete with essential oils and thick Turkish towelling bath sheets. Mosaics on the floors, marble pools. You get the picture. It still needs some decorating though.

We have had a few graduates (OK, quite a few), which is good, but time to dust off the old Hut for those of us who are still barren.

just done my ritual post mc/period HPT and for a minute it looked like a BFP was going to pop up. never thought i'd be so relieved to see a bfn. still at least i dont have piles/ms/swelling/backache like all those poor pg ladies

scorpio1 · 06/07/2007 09:52

im joining in here too, ladies. i would gladly spend the next 9 months in bed, puking and everything all day long!

nomoremagnolia · 06/07/2007 09:27

Ready - so glad you posted that, I was thinking the same. Have been biting my tounge (or should that be fingers?) to avoid posting "well if you've had unprotected sex and AF is late and there's a faint line then yes you are bloody pg" Sometimes feel like saying "well wait 8 months and if a baby pops out of you then it was a BFP"
Was actually composing this kind of post whilst in the shower this morning and was going to post it in here (I swear you're my psychic twin or something!)

duchesse · 06/07/2007 09:02

Talking of which, my kick in the teeth is riding in over the horizon. At cycle day 22. Am expecting period to start tis weekend. This is no joke.

duchesse · 06/07/2007 08:57

"kick in the teeth every month" just about covers it, Nelli. Yup.

Nelli32 · 06/07/2007 08:40

What is wrong with me - just shows you my head is all over the place today! I was due on the 1st not the 2nd - can't add up now!

I need to go home and its only 8:45am

Hope all is well with everyone

Nelli32 · 06/07/2007 08:38

That was supposed to say 'how thick skinned or just plain stupid people are!'

Am posting at work and keep having to click off as my bosses keep coming into the room! Feel like I'm at school!!

xx

Nelli32 · 06/07/2007 08:36

Morning everyone - I too agree totally how thick skinned or just plain stupid!!!! People drop into conversation all the time how so and so is expecting isn't that lovely. oh but she sooo tired and has swollen ankles!! GOD ! I like everyone else on here would love to have swollen ankles and bags!!

Just wanted to say to Lissie and Rainbowdays that I feel so very much for you both. We have ttc for 3 years. I got caught in Jan 06 but m/c after a precious 5 weeks and 6 days -it still feels a bit surreal even now. Take time to recover as much as you can. Don't push things and get all those emotions out!

Life is so very cruel sometimes. I was getting excited this week as my cycle runs between 28/30 days without fail. I was due on 2/7, so today would make me 6 days late. Started to convince myself that at last this might be our time but it was not to be! Bloody AF arrived this morning. Can't belive it - Gutted, feeling quite down. I know i will be fine tomorrow but its like a kick in the teeth every month isn't it?!

xxx

BabyBratt, apparantly I have the subtelty of a punch in the nose when I am displeased with someone, so go ahead and give me this stupid woman's phone number

Or you could have the pleasure yourself and tell her to F off. She appears to be very thick-skinned, and if she does get offended you could always blame your ftc hormones

lissie · 05/07/2007 21:02

do you want us to go round there? honestly, why do people think that if you want a baby you want to hear about their pgs in technicolour. my mum tells me all about the women in my hometown who are pg and how they're "suffering".

BabyBratt · 05/07/2007 20:50

Can I join you on this one. My Business Partner, yes the rightous cow I told you about with her opinion on why I am not pg yet!! She is suffering MS and she cannot stop talking about it and moaning about how tired she is. She tells me everyweek what her baby is developing eyes, ears etc. Only the other day she text me to say her and bump were going to bed to do some developing!!! she tells me because her DH is not that interested apparently.

Why me!!!! she has two sisters, who are not ttc. I would love to be tired and MS, it is such a gift to be pregnant and all she can do is moan about the effects. She even offered for me to hear the heart beat, I did mention to her that I was struggling with the fact she was pregnant even though I was pleased I was very envious but this has not stopped her. AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Duchesse I love the thread, it is good to know that everyone has the same irritations

Ready · 05/07/2007 17:45

Haha. I am so glad it isn't just me then. Phew.

Don't get me started about MS complaints, my BF is "suffering" with that, and it takes all my strength to not tell her to FECK OFF. I would LOVE MS right now!

lissie · 05/07/2007 17:36

rant away, its the ones moaning about ms that get me. i would fucking love morning sickness

duchesse · 05/07/2007 17:35

hehe.

Ok. As soon as I clicked POST, I knew I shouldn't have posted it that. Sorry ladies. I am just having a Negative Norma day.

I do hope I haven't offended anyone. If I have, I am sorry.

Ready · 05/07/2007 17:27

Is it just me... or has anyone else started to get really wound up by the "help!I think I might be pregnant, faint BFP at 3dpo" threads?

I know I sound like a complete and utter bitch... it's totally irrational, and most unlike me. But argh. Sigh.

Sorry.

lissie · 04/07/2007 22:26

oh soreheart! im sorry.

bella, thank you.

BellaBear · 04/07/2007 17:59

Lissie, I've just heard, I'm so sorry for you.

xx

Soreheart · 04/07/2007 17:56

Oh Lissie, DO make sure you are looking after yourself VERY carefully.
Take a very comfy chair in the haman and a nice cup of tea (can be Turkish but am thinking maybe just PG!).2 year anniversary of last m/c on Saturday. Am looking forward to that! Will that be the day I 'give up' on ever getting another chance? Don't think that's likely. Going to a party on Saturday and I'm just hoping no-one announces any pgs.

lissie · 04/07/2007 13:12

im just drained now. i hate having a scale for mc's. dh asked how i was i said not as bad as last time but worse than the third one. still at least i didnt nearly die this time. i know that sounds callous but i cant even think of them as pgs anymore, and im terrified of getting pg again.

duchesse · 04/07/2007 13:10

I do apologise for that revolting simile- I am eating lunch too, so you'd think I could type without making myself feel sick...

Also sorry if that sounded insensitive. Didn't mean to be. Am just bitter and twisted. Sorry.

duchesse · 04/07/2007 13:08

Ah, yes, that tricky old chestnut.

Different in your case than mine of course, since you actually do get pregnant. Depends on how much crap you can suck up with your long-term goal in mind...

OP posts:
lissie · 04/07/2007 13:06

not too bad, sad/angry/confused but sadly, not surprised. i just keep thinking should i give up?

duchesse · 04/07/2007 13:03

Hi lissie! How feeling?

OP posts:
lissie · 04/07/2007 12:48

hi all! yes, i am taking asprin and high dose folic aciid, tbh i think the prob, as duchesse says, is the scar tissue on my uterus and tubes. add to that the uterine group b strep that went undetected for 10d . sorry ive not been on, been hibernating. this hillls thing knocked me as well as the obvious.
