Hi everyone,

Bit of a background. I have been TTC with my partner who works away for 8 months. Never had a hint of anything before but I just took a FRER this morning as I have a night out tonight so didn’t want to drink if there was a chance. I’m 10 DPO and I can definitely see something. It’s clearer in real life. Wanted to check before I FaceTime my partner. Can’t believe I’m posting one of these after reading so many. Thanks all!

Non of mine where particularly dark :) the second one was more so but nice lines there, start thinking of your sober excuses Smile. Sober October is a good one :)

Elly1685 · 09/09/2018 09:50

I should add that the clear blue looks grey like an evap line in the picture - it’s definitly blue on the test!

Elly1685 · 09/09/2018 09:47

Hi ladies please please can you help?

So yesterday was my OTD as i was 11dp5dt

I did a frer the night before and yesterday morning and they both showed faint positives. I had a negative on a clear blue digital.

I rang my clinic and they said they only recommend clear blue and said it’s more than likely negative. They asked me to retest today or tomorrow and ring Monday.

I tested this morning with a clear blue and got this (photo). It’s definitely a line! But why if I’m 12dp5dt is it so late? I’m really worried I’m at the tail end of a CP or that it’s not going to be a viable pregnancy.

What do you think?

@littledovelove congratulations! I like the idea of a health kick as an excuse. I might sign up for sober October haha! I took another rapid response and a Clearblue this morning, rapid response is darker and Clearblue shows 1-2 weeks. My period isn’t due until Thursday but I think my LP is on the long side.

@Mcdonald234 I'm 9+1 weeks now but my sister basically has been making comments since the weekend I got my BPF as we where on a family holiday! I think she knows but she hasn't made any comments for a while, if your friends know you could just say you want to make sure you're really healthier and kick back in the booze to help TTC faster so you are going to try to a month off. That will give you some time. I used that one too as we did go out loads my husband and I. We didn't expect to get pregnant first go off and it's our 2 weeks proper honeymoon soon (prego on mini moon!) at least the booze bill will be considerably lower!Grin

Mcdonald234 · 08/09/2018 22:41

@littledovelove I think that will be my plan for the second night. How far on are you? It's so tough I go out every weekend and couldn't get away with just saying I didn't fancy drinking because everyone would guess! My close friends know we are trying so hopefully they'll know to wait until I feel ready to tell.

@gemsie1984 I suppose it's good that I got a line on the one that's less sensitive! I am eagerly waiting tomorrow morning to POAS again. Got a clearblue but might keep that for another few days. My period isn't due until Thurs even though my app says Sat.

Yes they differ in sensitivity, the rapid results one is meant I think from a day before AF, the early result is up to 6 days sooner.

LittleDoveLove · 08/09/2018 18:25

I've had that problem as we go out loads and I think people are getting suspicious. I say I lm on a diet for my holiday. I just deny it if someone says it or makes a joke. Speculation isn't fact that's how I see it! Haha. You could say you aren't feeling very well for the hen do maybe OP?

Mcdonald234 · 08/09/2018 17:03

I work with all of the ladies I'm away with so thought the antibiotic one might not work.

I just realised I bought the rapid results test instead of the 6 days early one. Do they differ in sensitivity?

Yakadee · 08/09/2018 16:18

I'd go antibiotics or like you say, non alcoholi drinks x

Nishky · 08/09/2018 16:13

Just say you are on strong antibiotics.....

Mcdonald234 · 08/09/2018 16:10

Thank you! I just stocked up on more tests and folic acid too. I go out so much I'm not sure how I'll manage to keep this hidden for 12 weeks. Any tips for keeping it under wraps at an upcoming hen weekend? We are in a lodge so thought I'd be best just pretending to drink!

Looks like a line to me. Congrats OP! Thanks

Ebonyx · 08/09/2018 13:57

Congratulations! Xx

Breadnroses · 08/09/2018 09:42

Aww congratulations 💐

KitNCaboodle · 08/09/2018 09:26

Congratulations, I definitely see a line! Digital ones need more pregnancy hormone (double the amount needed for FR and Superdrug own, I believe) so I would hold off POAS one of them for a few days.

Mcdonald234 · 08/09/2018 09:23

Thanks so much everyone. Called my partner and he can definitely see it too which I didn't expect. Over the moon.

BeautifulPossibilities · 08/09/2018 08:28

I can see it!

Gemsie1984 · 08/09/2018 08:23
