Hey ladies,

I've ordered an ovusense monitor and I'm hoping it will be useful as I'm at my wits end with OPKs and irregular cycles! I have PCOS.

Have any of you used one/successfully got pregnant using one? Did you find you were ovulating earlier/later than you were predicting before using the ovusense?

Thanks Smile

@Shaw86 I think someone was trying to sell an unused one recently. Have a look around at the threads in this forum if you decide to get one, you might get a deal!

How has everyone found using the ovusense? I am considering buying one. I don't have psos or anything. My periods are relatively regular, give or take a day or two.. Is it a waste for me to buy one? However I am interested to know the exact day I ovulate

SpadesOfGlory · 11/09/2018 10:44

I think some women get a dip before ovulation. As you can see, my temps were pretty up and down at the start! Ovusense didn't pinpoint ovulation because of the missing data which was annoying, but it's obvious from the rise that i did. The purple was when I got my bfp

Oh wow, that is incredible! So, does the temp need to be low and then go high for ovulation?

I used to temp (but with a mouth thermometer) years ago when TTC my second DC, although my charts were so erratic because of PCOS that I gave up. I remember when the temp went higher than usual, that was supposedly when ovulation was occurring. But, like I said, PCOS gave me so many 'higher than usual' peaks throughout my 100+ day cycles, that I got frustrated with it. Now I'm wondering if i should have looked out for a dip in temp first?

My cycles seem to have lessened since then (thankfully) so I'm hoping that Ovusense will work for me, it is supposedly good for PCOS cycle tracking but I am trying not to expect miracles.

I have no idea why my phone keeps adding an n in sonographer Blush

SpadesOfGlory · 10/09/2018 18:29

@Frazzlerock I had a pelvic ultrasound which showed a dominant follicle on cd15 and the sonongrapher said I would probably ovulate in the next 4 or 5 days. At that point, my Ovusense broke for 10 days and I was devastated cause I really wanted to know what was happening. They sent me a new one and to my surprise my temp the next morning was the lowest it had ever been! Over the next day or two it started looking like it was going up, and I got the first properly positive OPK the next day...and that was it! We only dtd two days before and the day of ovulation. In the end I ovulated 2 weeks after the sonongrapher said I would, so my body just doesn't seem to do things at a normal pace Smile

I've recently bought one due to irregular cycles and it picked up ovulation on cd74 or thereabouts. I had suspected that I was having anovulatory cycles so it was a bit of a surprise, especially so far into a cycle! So it can only help imo.

Really encouraging to hear your news @SpadesOfGlory Smile

Frazzlerock · 10/09/2018 12:53

Hi @Rmad6716 I've literally just ordered mine. I'm trying very hard not to put all my hopes into this. I have PCOS. Difficulty conceiving my two older DC (previous marriage), plus two MC's, and then DP and I both caught mumps (no doubt it most probably screwed up his fertility).
2.5 years later and my cycles have decided to go awry since we started TTC again back in June (sods law). They have stretched from 35 days to 50+ days. And just today I started a period after only 12 days so I am also at my wits end with TTC naturally and took the plunge with Ovusense to find out what the hell is going on in there.

SpadesOfGlory · 08/09/2018 09:44

I didn't have PCOS or anything, just really irregular cycles for no reason! Good luck with trying, I know how hard it gets sometimes

Rmad6716 · 07/09/2018 19:17

Omg awesome news! @SpadesOfGlory

Can't wait for it to arrive now!! 😆

I got pregnant the first month I used it after over a year of trying! I ovulated on cd33.
