OvuSense success ?

Hey ladies,

I've ordered an ovusense monitor and I'm hoping it will be useful as I'm at my wits end with OPKs and irregular cycles! I have PCOS.

Have any of you used one/successfully got pregnant using one? Did you find you were ovulating earlier/later than you were predicting before using the ovusense?

Thanks Smile

I meant to tag @TtcanotherG in my previous post

Frazzlerock · 26/11/2019 16:28

I've no idea @danielasummer. I've contacted Ovusense about their recent weird early predictions then removing, and more recent zero predictions, but they just point me to their tutorial pages. I've given up asking.

danielasummer · 26/11/2019 16:21

@frazzlerock Thank you Flowers

Can I ask why Ovusense stopped predicting your ovulation window? I would need it to predict mine as my cycles vary from 30-47 days so I never know when O is coming.

I have used Fertility Friend this cycle but the O day has come up differently to what Natural Cycles has predicted. I'm so confused!! x

Frazzlerock · 26/11/2019 16:16

Hi @danielasummer and TtcanotherG

Firstly I wanted to say I'm so sorry for your losses. It truly is an awful experience Flowers

I think Ovusense is great in that you don't have to rely on a mouth thermometer and it does it all for you. But its pretty much stopped predicting my ovulation window so I use cheap ov sticks along side so I get a day or two's notice. Then Ovusense confirms a few days after ovulation. I also use Fertility Friend and put my Ovusense temps into that. They say not to do that, but it's been pretty spot on to be honest.
I think Ovusense is supposed to predict earlier and give you a window to work towards, at least mine used to do that.

danielasummer · 26/11/2019 16:04

Hi @Frazzlerock , I'm so sorry for your loss. I miscarried in October and it is the worst feeling in the world.

I'm in the same position as you @TtcanotherG - have you decided to go for one? My oral temps are all over the place since I now suffer with on/off insomnia after my missed miscarriage so I'm thinking vaginally would take the stress off me?

As for everyone else on this thread - how have you got on with Ovusense over time?

TtcanotherG · 21/10/2019 21:17

@Frazzlerock I'm so sorry for ur loss.
I've been reading about ovusense and came upon this thread as I'm thinking of getting one.
I just gone through a missed miscarriage and eager to get another bfp.
Hope urs happens soon

Frazzlerock · 02/10/2019 14:11

Hey all. I wanted to pick up on this thread as we lost our baby boy at just over 9 weeks pregnant. Third loss. (had tests to confirm sex and that he had Trisomy 16). We're still trying a year later. Still using Ovusense...

Ovusense is annoying me now. It predicts ovulation far too early every single cycle so I get excited it's coming and we go for it, but then my temps drop again and Ovusense takes my 'window' away.
I'm now on CD27 and so bored of waiting to ovulate Sad
I just want to hold my rainbow baby, but it seems an impossible dream after 3.5 years.

HMJ19 · 27/10/2018 08:46

Congrats!! 💖💖
I've been told by Dr that I wasn't ovulating and this morning my ovusense app told me I was in my ovulation window on day 45. Super excited, but do know people predictions can change and ovulation may not be confirmed. Still most promising news I've had in ages 😊😊😊

OvuSense success ?
Marvel87 · 23/10/2018 21:20

@Frazzlerock Congrats!!!

Frazzlerock · 23/10/2018 11:20

I should add I have PCOS, and I was convinced DP had problems following mumps. Plus I am 39 years old. All the odds were stacked against us, but we did it!

Frazzlerock · 23/10/2018 11:19

Hi all,

How are you getting on?

I just wanted to update you. I got my BFP on Saturday morning! Shock

2.5 years of desperation to hold my Rainbow baby following our two losses, then DP agreed to try again in June this year. So that's four months of TTC and only one cycle using OvuSense.
I'm flabbergasted, ecstatic, and bloody terrified that something will go wrong. But yay for OvuSense eh?

HMJ19 · 08/10/2018 21:04

Hi all, i've just ordered mine today. Hopefilly should be here by next week. I've got PCOs and the 21 day blood test said I wasn't ovulating but seeing all these reviews have given me some renewed hope. Fingers crossed 🤞🤞🤞🤞

Marvel87 · 08/10/2018 13:39

@Frazzlerock Congrats! Hope you get a sticky bean! Mine arrived last week and for once my body likes me and I started AF the day after. Just waiting to finish AF and then get started. I'm excited to see what it can tell me, I'm not sure I ovulate at all, so will be good to take to the dr if not

Frazzlerock · 08/10/2018 09:58

@Rmad6716 and @Marvel87 how are you getting on?

It seems Ovusense has picked up ovulation for me!

Man I hope it is right, I honestly though I wasn't ovulation at all.

OvuSense success ?
StopItAndTidyUpNow · 02/10/2018 15:14

I have been using it for 4 cycles - I keep using it after ovulation has been confirmed to keep track of my temperatures .

It predicts when you will ovulate based on your previous cycles but as that can change it will only tell you when you definitely ovulated after it sees the right algorithm for ovulation so it might tell you 2-3 days afterwards exactly when you did ovulate.

IT's recommended that you have sex every 2 days after your period as you are more fertile before ovulation than after and then once ovusense confirms your ovulation date you can compare that to when you had sex to see if you have a good chance of conceiving!

Frazzlerock · 01/10/2018 12:31

I've a question about Ovusense that I just thought of.

Does it tell you before you've ovulated or afterwards?
I've got some Preseed so I want to be ready to use it when the time comes (scuse the pun).

Frazzlerock · 01/10/2018 10:17

Morning, I've been using mine for two days now. 36.32 (CD8) and 36.21 (CD9). I hope those are normal ranges so far....

Though mine fell out and into the loo this morning when I went for a wee! FYI - take the sensor OUT before your morning wee Grin

Rmad6716 · 28/09/2018 11:10

I've been using mine for three days now.

Temps between 36.55-36.54 at 6-8DPO so pretty level!

I wish I'd manually taken temp while waiting on my monitor then I would have known if he temp had went up after OV. Oh well!

Frazzlerock · 25/09/2018 09:22

Good luck with it @marvel87

Mine finally arrived on Saturday, so I used it Saturday night then Sunday my period decided to show its ugly face earlier than ever. I swear my body hates me. My cycles have been 40-50 day since we started TTC in June (before that they were normal, obviously). As soon as I start using Ovusense after waiting for EVER, I have a 25 day cycle. I fucking despair.

Marvel87 · 21/09/2018 20:21

I've taken the plunge and ordered it tonight, dispatched by the 24th, I'm really quite interested to see what it comes up with. I've had a PCOS diagnosis since I was 19, 31 now, I want to start TTC, but interest to learn about my cycle too

Frazzlerock · 21/09/2018 17:23

I got an email today too. I've given up on hope tbh. PCOS has not been kind to me since we started TTC.
I think I've ovulated as I'm getting the usual metal mouth that lasts until AF. I hate it! And to think I used to think it meant pregnancy 😂😂

Rmad6716 · 21/09/2018 16:51

Just got an email today to say it's been despatched so hoping it may be tomorrow Grin. Although I've actually ovulated this month so I have my fingers crossed for the TWW! It's amazing how every month I have hope even though it's probably excitement over nothing 🙄🙈

Frazzlerock · 20/09/2018 08:45

They said they were out of stock when I ordered it (apparently... I didn't see anything stating this on the website) , but my 'starter pack' will be arriving by Friday, and sensor is being dispatched this week. You ordered yours before me, so I imagine you'll get yours soon... It's frustrating isn't it

Rmad6716 · 20/09/2018 08:31

I'm still waiting on mine too😞🙈

Frazzlerock · 19/09/2018 11:23

Mines still not arrived yet. I'm getting soooo impatient!
