Delilah7, I use the digital ovulation tests, they're a bit pricier but found them a little clearer, not sure if that helps at all. Sending good vibes your way anyway xxx
Question for you ladies in the know! So I got a 'high' last Thursday and dtd, then a 'peak' on Sunday. Dtd Monday morning. When would you guys suggest testing and is there a particular test/brand you'd recommend or any to avoid??

@Delilah7 do you know if you're close to ovulating? It can happen pretty quick. Although I've always seen a progression with the cheapies. With CB I once went from low to peak without ever getting the high reading. Keep testing, it'll happen.

@Delilah7 it's definitely under five minutes. For me, I can see it in less than a minute if it's positive. My very first time was literally as the dye was moving up. So it's pretty quick. But that doesn't mean it still can't be positive after the suggested wait time.

@delilah7 normally less than a couple of minutes but I check after 10 minutes x

@katbecool yeah I use the cheapies normally too but had done a study so got them as freebies the clearblue to give it a go. All so bladdy confusing lol 🙈🤷🏻‍♀️

@crossfit just got my positive can see the difference in the two now side by side. One at 2pm both lines were same colour but now the test line is darker than the control. Looks like your positive. Funny what difference a couple of hours make

@FlapJackered it all depends on how long your surge lasts. So you may or may not still get a positive in the morning. As I mentioned, some people get a very quick surge lasting as little as only 6 hours. And even if it's twelve, you might still miss it. Now normally it does last longer, so FMU still works.

@sunshine1987 ClearBlue does say to use FMU but it works just fine midday as long as it's not diluted. I usually manage to drink less at least at some point during the day. But that's why I also use internet cheapies. CB is too expensive to use so freely. I mainly use it confirm the cheapie is correct. I doubt there's a false positive unless you're talking molasses consistency

@Crossfitgirl, SSP is such a mega bee-atch, isn't she?! Makes us throw logic and reason out of the window 😒 I'm only 5-7dpo, but I had a weird tingling thing going on behind my right nipple for the previous 2 days (completely abnormal for me) and my inner SSP goblin was pretty much screaming "ooooh, that must mean something!!" and I'm desperately trying to kick her back down with "it's too bloody early for you to put in an appearance! Leave me alone!". Urgh! Don't want to be doing my own head in with a full week to go until AF is due 😩

Think this was my positive from last month - if I've got the right pic. Test line darker than control.
But other months, it never got darker than the control and I did actually count those as my positives because it tied in with my ov symptoms of abdo pain and sore nipples. Xxx

@flapjackered to me the line still looks a teeny bit lighter than the control. If they are normally darker for you, maybe it's worth waiting it out? Do you usually get darker ones? I will try find the pic of my positive from last month for you and delilah7 and sunshine to look at? Although it was prob you guys that advised me on it!! Lol!

My tips for sex... just get naked. Go straight for his Willy! No messing about... he knows exactly what you want and he starts feeling good as soon as you're in the room.
I mainly do this when there's no coaxing him from the tv or his phone, and I have to say, it always works!

(I once just started giving him a bj there and then on the sofa... sooooo scared but he loved it and it was funny watching him go from 😑 to 🤩 if you know what I mean!)

If that's too bold maybe something subtle. My DH gets really turned on if he knows I have no underwear on and wear a dress.
Or you could put on sexy underwear, or try sending him some naked pics from the bedroom while he's downstairs... get him thinking about you?

@katbecool @flapjackered, my bad, must depend on the make as mine say on the instructions “Do not use first morning urine samples as LH is synthesized in your body early in the morning. It will not show up in your urine until later in the day.” Which I thought meant it would be too concentrated and give a false positive 🤷🏻‍♀️

I do EXACTLY the same thing, 'oo I feel sick, maybe I am actually pregnant?!' - No because you have had a period and temp drop and negative tests!! 🙈🤷🏼‍♀️ Definitely a sign of ttc madness.

@flapjackered I wouldn't worry about changing it, if it's not the right date then they'd only end up doing it again- right?
Maybe ring the docs to check what you should do? If you got a positive OPK and a temp rise then that does suggest that's OV.

@delilah7 are you getting a line at all at the mo or just nothing? If you're getting little lines then it may be building up to the big positive.

@bambionice80 yeah maybe that's it, though the room is air conditioned so you'd think being nice and cool on a night would mean a normal temp first thing. Although I'm getting up at 8am rather than the usual 6am... but then again it's still 6am England time as it's 2 hours ahead here.
Ah well! Who knows!

I did actually wonder if I'm preggers even though I had my period, spent ages googling loads of people this has happened to, then had to stop myself wasting another test... if SSP can't even be stopped by a BFN, a temp drop, AND an actual period, then God help us all!

This never used to happen but I can sense the pressure was getting to him last night knowing it was fertile time. It just wasn't quite as 🚀 as it could be, took a little bit of coaxing! 😂 so I think tonight being the second time in a row I might need to pull out all the stops!

@KatBeCool ahhh I see! Ok so I can still count this mornings one as a positive then?
I did one at 11am and it was negative, the trouble is I drink quite a bit of water generally so I do think the last thing at night and the morning are the most concentrated for me! I am just hoping for a static smiley tomorrow. 😬

@FlapJackered you "can" use FMU but surge doesn't always happen in the morning. This month I caught mine right before bed. I was way too paranoid so I was poas three times a day for the two days I thought I was due for the positive OPK. During the previous months it was always midday. However, if I were to test the next morning, it was still positive, but that also meant I missed many hours of knowing had I not tested midday the day before. And with that, some people get their surge for only a few hours. And that's why they made internet cheapies... For poas maniacs like me
