@stormtrooperjulian I have had about 3 days of spotting before my last few periods, and i had the same as you this time- I had light, red blood flow with one wipe so thought AF had come full force, but then it went back to spotting for another 2 days. I got my hopes up for IB, but AF then came 3 days after the initial bit of blood and looks like it will stay for the usual 3 days of my cycle. Not even sure how to track that properly in flo! I tracked it as period, then spotting, then like a 2nd period, but flo has actually stayed with day 1 as the first bleeding.
I am a little worried to be honest, I've read on good old Google that spotting before your period can sometimes mean you have low progesterone.
I plan to go to the doctors about it if cycle 6 is another BFN, but I do have PCOS and had a cyst removed when I was younger, and PCOS does play with your hormones.
If you're worried, no harm in doing to see your GP.
I think you can worry too much about things you read or hear, it might mean absolutely nothing for you, as your cycle can vary each month anyway, even if you're usually like clockwork - which is why I plan to see my own doc about it rather than worry unnecessarily!
