New thread ladies! @PastaSauceHoarder @Goostacean @Barker26 @crazychemist @DoveGreylove @springsummerautumnwinter can't remember who else to tag.

I know @cupcakesandglitter has linked us to a new thread but I'm not sure I am strong enough to be surrounded by those TTC already!

Sorry that last post was meant to be a reply to @SurfingTheSouthWest - I haven't gotten the hang of this yet!

hippybottomas · 29/09/2018 10:26

Yes! I'm hoping to start TTC then (and I'm in the South West, what a coincidence!). I've also started the folic acid... Exciting! Good luck!

hippybottomas · 29/09/2018 10:23

Hi everyone, just joined so very excited this is my first mumsnet post!

Age: 32 (no idea how that happened!)
TTC #1
Waiting until: next month maybe...
Reason for waiting: until now, lots of reasons. Was in a crappy marriage, got divorced, met my current partner 3 years ago and very happy. We were going to start trying at the start of the year but various career things needed sorting, and then we were waiting to hear if my job was being made permanent, but we got that news a few weeks ago. Thought we might try this month but OH wanted to wait! We've agreed to start next month but worried he might want to push it back another month. He seems less excited than me... Maybe that's normal? Or he's scared.. He says he wants it though. Anyone else feel like they're trying to persuade their OH?

Been waiting so long feels like it will never really happen!

happytobemrsg · 28/09/2018 20:28

AF was 4 days late with lots of negative tests. 3 different people have dreamt I'm pregnant. Feeling crazy broody & think DH may be on board with TTC earlier than planned....

Tropicana1 · 24/09/2018 22:46

I’m not starting until Feb/March, but I’m going to track my ovultion i think for a few cycles 1- so I know where I’m at when we do start and 2- for something semi proactive to do 😂

SurfingTheSouthWest · 23/09/2018 19:36

@McHelenz so jealous! It's been raining all weekend in my part of the UK.

Im getting so impatient now. Started taking folic acid this week and hoping to start ttc from October half term. Eeeeek.
Anybody else waiting till a similar time?

Xoxox

McHelenz · 23/09/2018 19:24

Hello from sunny Mexico! Hope all is good. Holiday is definitely making the wait worth it, bar the stomach bug I've caught 😭.

Deffo got to wait though the mozzies got us!!

happytobemrsg · 23/09/2018 17:50

Welcome to the newbies!

Feeling super broody today. Went to a christening for a gorgeous baby girl & hot lots of yummy cuddles.

lewk · 22/09/2018 10:10

Hi all, just found this thread after lurking on the conception board knowing that we need to wait before ttc, so thought I'd say hi!

Age - 25
TTC - #1
Waiting until - May 2019
Reason for waiting - To receive maternity pay (not started job yet)

Currently on the combined pill but once I finish this packet I'm planning to come off and use condoms until ttc to regulate and track my cycle.

rollerskaterdata · 21/09/2018 11:48

Hi everyone, I hope you're all well! Just thought I'd drop in and say hi and see how you're all getting on 🙂

I remember way back when when I joined this thread I was house hunting - we'll we've found a house now and exchanged contracts this week 😁 I'm so excited! It's been such a long journey but I'm glad we're nearing the end. Special shout out to @dottydally for all of your advice, help and support, thanks hun! X

Frizzy1986 · 19/09/2018 21:02

Hi all,
I'm going to jump on this thread (although I am useless at keeping up and will prob go awol all the time!!)
I'm 32 (as is dh) and we are planning child #2. Dd will be 5 at Xmas and has just started school.
We had been ttc for 7 months, but I've just accepted a new job so we are going to postpone until I start and will qualify for the mat pay. But that then takes us to around Nov time and I really don't want a summer holiday baby.
Nothing against it at all, but I've been working full time since dd was 1 and I've really missed out on her growing up. Now she's at school I want to make sure that when/if we are lucky enough to have a second, that I will be on mat leave during the summer without risking being immobile due to csections etc.
This means holding off until the new year (prob mid/end of Jan earliest to plan for an Oct baby) , which sucks but its the right choice. I think!

Tropicana1 · 19/09/2018 20:24

Thanks @happytobemrsg :)

Ahh @Barker26 how exciting! Have to say, I’m feeling so unbelievably broody at the mo, TTC seems to be all I can think about 🙈 don’t know how I’m going to cope waiting 6 months to start

Best of luck to you!

happytobemrsg · 19/09/2018 19:48

Good luck @Barker26!

We are not TTC (obviously), but it doesn't mean I don't get phantom pregnancy symptoms! Driving me crazy. This evening I was SURE I felt "pulling" just under my belly button like I did when I fell pregnant with DS

Barker26 · 18/09/2018 16:55

Hi ladies I have been very quiet my apologies! Main reason being myself and OH have decided to take the plunge and start trying with a view that we would be very VERY lucky to conceive first time, and if we did then we are comfortable to manage :) I will leave you lovely ladies here, good luck all and hope to see you on the graduate threads in the near future! Much love xx

dottydally · 18/09/2018 16:30

@Emiloux hi! You are welcome to pop in and say hi but we probably aren't the right people for you. We are all waiting to ttc for various reasons, many until the new year.

Many of us are finding the wait difficult, particularly when there are so many babies around us. Hopefully you will appreciate that we are not being unkind and unwelcoming. We just don't feel that we are strong enough to see those ttc all the time.

You may feel more at home here: Waiting to TTC Graduates Thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/3347767-waiting-to-ttc-graduates-thread

Wishing you the best of luck though lovely Thanks

Hi ladies,

I hope you don’t mind me jumping in on your thread..

Stats:

27
Ttc for 4 months
8 days dpo (and going a little crazy!)
AF due 25th September

I usually lerk in the background of these threads but could do with some ttc buddies! X

happytobemrsg · 17/09/2018 19:58

Welcome @Tropicana1!
I've made it clear to DH that I want a cleaner by the time DC2 comes long!
Feeling super broody at the moment. Been spending lots of lovely fun time with DS & id love him to have a sibling (if only to teach him that he's not in charge!)

Tropicana1 · 17/09/2018 17:23

@mchelenz

I deeply want a cleaner because I hate cleaning haha! It’s such a drag but no matter how many ways I try to get round it cannot justify the cost in my own head 😂

You never know, the cat might just be so pleased to see you after 2 weeks that the sin of the chattery is forgotten!

McHelenz · 16/09/2018 17:14

I want to pay for a cleaner but we need to clean up before one comes 😂😂.

We have a house rabbit and a cat. I've never boarded a cat before but the rabbit goes to a hotel and it's lovely. I don't think the cat is going to like us in 2 weeks...

Tropicana1 · 16/09/2018 17:08

Hi @mcHelenz
Yup getting married in March - planning a going well I think, but I reckon the next few months the stress might ramp up!

Ah I'm already worrying about what to do with the pets for the honeymoon! Glad it's not just me that likes to tidy pre holiday, last time we went away OH was like "we don't always have to come home to a spotless house" YES we do 😂

McHelenz · 16/09/2018 16:25

Hi @tropicana1! Are you getting married in march then? How's planning going?

We have just sent the pets off on their holidays. I'm now having the traditional pre holiday tidy up!

Tropicana1 · 16/09/2018 16:13

Hi ladies, hope you don't mind me joining. I've been browsing these pages recently and this seems a good place for me to fit 😁

My fiancé and I have just decided that we're going to start trying after our wedding (I'm now equal parts incredibly impatient and quite scared haha). We've actually changed our honeymoon destination so that we're no longer going to a Zika destination so that we don't age to wait an additional 6 months 🙈

Age - 28 (OH 30)
Planning to TTC - March 2019
Reason for waiting - saving for wedding
Current contraception - copper coil

Anyway, hanging around these boards is actually making me more impatient, so I thought I'd join in and share!

McHelenz · 15/09/2018 22:02

Yea I think you cant do anything fun. I wont cope with Luke warm baths and decaf...

Manycatsandallthegin · 15/09/2018 17:15

We’ve just had our friend round with her one year old and now im broodier than ever!!!

Considering coming off contraception the end of this month to get my body ready for TTC in Jan, rather than doin that and TTC in jan and potentially being disappointed for several months...

If we fall pregnant before skiing i guess i’ll just have to have a nice week in the chalet reading and relaxing? Theres a hot tub but im sure i read somewhere that you cant use hot tubs when pregnant, is that true?

Pinkroseuk · 15/09/2018 17:04

Hi everyone - we're just on our way home so catching up on the weeks chat-
Hope everyone has had a good day :)
