Reason for waiting: sorting out finances and paying off the last bit of outstanding finance- although it's interest free we hate having any debt!
Keeping busy by going on holidays and renovating the house

Reason for waiting: getting a theme park themed holiday out the way first (don't want to have to avoid the roller coasters!)

Also, I have been trying to chart my ovulation in preparation for TTC using the cheap opk's from Amazon, but due to work I've only been able to do them at 6pm each evening and am paranoid I'm going to miss it. Do any of you do them at work? I just can't see it being subtle going into a toilet cubicle for ten minutes with a container for pee! my cycle keeps flitting around so can't really estimate a date at the moment, cycle has been between 25 and 35 days the last 3 months!

Ohh how lovely @Barker26, did your DP say yes to the bunnies? My mum has both a rabbit and guinea pigs and they're all lovely and tame.

@Pinkroseuk I just started using them right away! It says to not use them for your first morning wee but other than that you can use them any time in the day before 8pm. I've been using them every day up until my period and then I'll just use them every day after.

I already have a little girl who was born in early June (her due date was end of May but she was eight days late) so I really want to avoid having another baby in that month, hence us waiting to TTC in Sept/Oct. Other than that I'd be more than happy with any time!

@Barker26 I really done mind what time of the year- ideally not end Feb/March as all family's bdays are there but I personally wouldn't stop ttc any time of the year because of this

Just marking my place so I can keep up with you all even though we've started trying (cycle 4 now though will take a break from trying to avoid another winter baby if we don't manage to conceive by around Christmas). I just wrote out replies on the other thread and realised it was full when when I tried to post 😳🙈

@Pinkroseuk my sister has 2 and they have the run of the garden when home, we have a new build so very secure garden so would probs do the same thing! Would love a house bunny but DP having none of that haha! I find guinea pigs very nippy!

@Barker26 yes ours was a rescue too- though he was a kitten so not too bad! I ha da bunny once - but always found guinea pigs more friendly and less messy ?

@Pinkroseuk I had a cat once but he was very aloof! He was a rescue though so maybe not used to human interaction... I just need something to love haha!

Great news on the test strips @PastaSauceHoarder. I have bought some - how often and from when should I start using them?

@Barker26 we got a cat when we first moved into a place together and it has helped me needing to look after something! DH carries him to bed each night and tucks him up under a blanket too!

My day has been knackering I was at work 8 till 4 which wiped me out after the weekend wedding festivities so fell asleep on sofa for about 3 hrs when i got home ! Spent the rest of the evening convincing DP to let me get 2 bunnies to satisfy my urge to look after something haha!

Oh yeah they're bloody horrible - I can't actually remember the last time we used them. I feel they do tend to ruin 'the moment' really.
I had my coil out almost two months ago now and we've just been using the pull out method since then.

How has everyone's day been? I'm super happy because I finally got a lovely clear positive on todays ovulation strip. Feels like I'm finally gaining some insight into my own body.

We feel the same - DH bought a box once used about two and gave the rest to his brother 😂 he's refused to buy any since!

I think you'd be okay to go without a condom at this point in your cycle then.

We've been using the pull out method too, husband knows the dangers but he doesn't like condoms so he won't go and get them. 🙄

Do you know which day you normally ovulate, @dottydally? I THINK you should be okay, but I remember reading that sperm and can survive inside you for up to five days (though don't quote me!).

Waiting for my AF to arrive!
Reason for waiting - came off pill March 2017 still no sign of AF without having to take tablets- doctors won't help much till lost 30-40kg!

Gosh I think I'm the youngest.
Anyway its lovely seeing all the regulars on the new thread! As @rollerskaterdata said, I'm also getting quite attached to you all.

Reason for waiting: can't afford maternity leave until we've sorted out a few things. Hoping to ttc just before Christmas, another September baby would be ideal.

Age: 27, can’t believe I’m the oldest so far! Keep hearing about mums being 35+ these days!
TTC#2: sibling to DS 6mo, will start TTC June 2019 at the earliest.
Reasons for waiting: many! Largely the advice to leave 18ms between pregnancies, plus my job that I will only be returning to in April.

Awh it sounds like it was magical, @Barker26! I especially like the ditching of hymns for those songs haha, sounds like they really had their own personal touch on their special day.
Its my brothers wedding next month (my first time ever being a bridesmaid!) and I'm looking forward to that. Haven't been to many weddings but I love them!
