Thanks MrsC87 😄

FivexFive · 26/08/2018 12:18

Hi all! I'm new to the site and this whole TTC journey! Just turned 30, stopped protection around March and this is my first cycle of 'proper trying'
Some really good news in this thread this morning :)

MrsC87 · 26/08/2018 12:12

Thankyou @BambiOnIce80 @NeverStopExploring @cupcakesandglitter
It's so nice to get advice! I know I can do a little more exercise, just by walking more, working at a desk 8 hours a day is not great for my health!
What is everyone eating more of specifically?
I've heard pineapple is good in the 2ww.

MrsC87 · 26/08/2018 12:10

Congratulations @MrsReader
Fabulous news 🎉🎊

MrsReader · 26/08/2018 12:00

Thank you ladies, it hasn't sunk in yet. I'm off to buy some FRERs to reassure me as that was a cheapy Tesco one!

Husband hasn't said much, I don't think he believes it! But i think he hoped it wouldn't happen straight away

MrsR16 · 26/08/2018 11:57

TTC first baby... mega thread!
MrsR16 · 26/08/2018 11:26

Congratulations @ttcat32 I'm so happy for you!!

Delilah7 · 26/08/2018 11:17

@cupcakesandglitter 😂😂😂😂 don't worry it was getting a while for me too... but I had been unwell so didn't really feel like I wanted it 😂😂 how're you sweetie?! Cowgirl get riding!!!! Xx

BambiOnIce80 · 26/08/2018 11:16

@Crossfitgirl, the guidance for getting checked is after a year for women under 36 years and after 6 months if you're over 36 or have a higher risk of infertility. I'm 38 and have a previous diagnosis of unexplained primary infertility, so I tick 2 boxes I'd rather not tick!

@MrsC87, it can't hurt to try and be healthy. Most of mums I know have a higher BMI though.

NeverStopExploring · 26/08/2018 11:16

@MrsC87 & @Crossfitgirl I just broached the subject during my regular check up last year and she gave me loads of information. She was the nurse that issued my contraception so not sure if it usual to get that type of information from them or if it was just luck of the draw. I didn’t expect anything just casually said that I was planning on coming off contraception and trying and she went into over drive with information!

cupcakesandglitter · 26/08/2018 10:56

Omg congrats @ttcat32 such lovely news!!

Omg @Delilah7 I'm so jel 😂😂 I had to look on Flo to see when the last time I DTD was. It's been a bloody week!!! I'm having withdrawal problems clearly 😂😂😂 xx

@MrsC87 I agree, don't worry too much about it, just do what you can to slowly make healthier changes. There are women with BMIs way outside of the healthy range, that still manage to conceive and give birth to healthy babies! It would take me a while to get to a healthy BMI, so I'm just trying to eat healthier and make appearances at the gym x

CookieWaffle · 26/08/2018 10:51

@MrsC87 I'm 38 BMI and still giving it a go! Just trying to eat healthily. Just got over 2 CPs in a row so I'm as least thankful it is possible for sperm to meet egg, I just need to do the next bit! xx

CookieWaffle · 26/08/2018 10:49

Woo! Grats @ttcat32!! xxx

Delilah7 · 26/08/2018 10:43

@ttcat32 super excited for you.

@Lov3Rosie lovely story thank you. If I'm not positive it would of broke me so! I'm getting there xxx

Crossfitgirl · 26/08/2018 10:43

@RMarieClaire We started in May too! Although only "properly" trying this time, cycle 5. Welcome to the thread!

@mrsc87 I don't worry about weight, they also say lots of exercise can affect it, or lots of stress, this that and the other, loads of stuff can, but I think as long as you are eating veggies and moving, you'll be fine. I know some BIG women (and I mean BIG), underweight women, unhealthy as f* women, and binge drinking women, that have all managed to pop them out, so being a bit healthier in my eyes is just a bonus.

I think being healthier ups your chances, rather than being unhealthy lowers your chances. If that make sense?

@bambionice80 it's nice to know someone in a similar boat! I had an ovarian cyst removed when I was 16, and had investigations around 18 showing polycystic ovaries but have been on the pill pretty much ever since. I have no other symptoms so mayne I don't have the syndrome.
Good luck with the docs - how come you're having blood tests? I thought they only did stuff when ttc for over a year?

@neverstopexploring do they note how long you've been trying for with conception nurse? I know this sounds sneaky but I have avoided going for advice in case I need to lie about how long i've been ttc in case it takes a while and I need leverage to get investigated sooner with me having previous PCOS problems and an anxious mind!!! Lol. Is that bad??

A good friend of mine had MC for her supposed #2 in Feb 2016. All of us her friends feel so down too and the best person who had such a strong faith was her eldest daughter who was 5 years old that time - who wrote a letter to God to make her unborn sister as one of His angels. I cried buckets of tears that time. My friend shared that even with MC, she felt at peace and she could not understand where that peace was coming from. A month after, she conceived and by December 2016, she gave birth to another daughter and named her after a Bible story. She is now a very cheeky 20-month old and so full of life.

@Delilah7 I could not imagine what you have gone through... it must have been hard for you during that time. Big hugs.... xxx

ttcat32 · 26/08/2018 10:29

Thank you all!!!

Sorry to have posted and ran but I think I was a little bit in shock, didn't expect it to happen so quickly. I'm 11 dpo so will still test for the next few days to make sure it gets darker.

❤️❤️❤️xx

@Lov3Rosie honestly most of these ladies got me through one of the worst parts of my life, a miscarriage. I wouldn't be as upbeat as I am without them all! I am thank you. Hope you are too x

Lov3Rosie · 26/08/2018 10:20
