Hi all, I have just turned 39, and have 2 daughters from my previous marriage, aged 6 and 9. I am in a very happy long term relationship with my partner who is 32. We have just started TTC'ing for a baby. My third, his first. Anyone else in a similar situation?
I believe I should be ovulating today or tomorrow (On CD17 of a 32/33 day cycle) but no positive OPK yet. Worried my eggs have dried up! Wink

I'm 42, both have children from previous marriages. Started trying on July thinking it would take ages and now pregnant. Second cycle. Didn't have ewcm this month but did have sex every day or twice a day from cd9-cd 15. So it does happen. Good luck

MakeAWhish · 03/09/2018 22:30

Hmmm... I'd be tempted to take one, cos it seems a little weird?? Gotta love those pig tests Grin

Bloodylegoeverywhere · 03/09/2018 22:29

Brilliant... No pig tests but took a few before af came last week. Haven't taken any more as my period came!

MakeAWhish · 03/09/2018 21:26

Pg test not pig!!! Grin

MakeAWhish · 03/09/2018 21:26

@Bloodylegoeverywhere you have taken a pig test, right??? I'm thinking implantation spotting?!
No AF yet. Due tomorrow, which is day 32. I've not had a cycle longer than 32 days for the last 7 months xx

@whishingbaby, I'm sorry you are going through this. Yes make your own post and see what replies you get.

@makeawish lol maybe, we will see. It's all odd, brown spotting before period then early ish period and no spotting after period but then I bleed a little after hours after the bd. Then this temp spike with perhaps ovulation cm and still spotting with it and then awful back ache for 5 minutes.
Any af from you yet?

MakeAWhish · 03/09/2018 14:24

@Wishingbaby oh, wishing, I'm so sorry. I think you should copy and paste this, and start a new post all of your own, as there's only a few of us on this thread currently. Are you using be forum through your phone or through a laptop/desktop? I can talk you through how to do your own post? Xx

Sorry to crash in on this friend but cannot work out how to use the forum and am in a tizz So we have been trying to conceive and due to my partner thinking I have the egg supply of a 18 year old and generally being an idiot bloke so far in the process he has had to do practically nothing. I'm 43 years old I am sure many women can relate to the stress of having a partner who is an idiot and emotionally inept when it comes to the process of fertility. I'm completely stressed, my mood swings have been awfuk as I'm between tears and anger at not being able to conceive. So far I've had loads of tests, all have come back ok and an op to remove a polp in the uterous while all he has had to do is provide a sperm sample. No wonder he feels the process is no big deal currently. my LH came back at about 0.8 and apparently I have few folicles although they could not see the other ovary. This is all at Guys hospital...We have also been told that egg donation could be the most successful route as without them being able to find my other ovary (it is there) they cannot do the hair count and that possibly it may be only a 5% chance of conception through trying to find my eggs /stimulate them. I am going back for another scan.....My partners sperm count was about 37, but they said this didn;t seem to be a problem and kept focusing on me I am devestated. I am ovulating regular and have zero issues and there have been zero issues of concpetion in my family. My question is on Clinics abroad that donate eggs and would it be worth visiting ARGC My marriage feels like it is on the verge of a break down because frankly he would not try earlier and we are now in this position because of him, I feel absolutely desperate and beyond devistated

Bloodylegoeverywhere · 03/09/2018 13:13

There you go, silver lining and all that Wink I'm sure I ovulated today and yet I'm only on cycle day 6.... big mystery!!

MakeAWhish · 03/09/2018 12:33

You're right, always a mystery! Yep, onwards and upwards. I feel like AF is on her way, and I have a boozy weekend planned next weekend so it's all good. We go again! Xx

Bloodylegoeverywhere · 03/09/2018 08:42

Always a mystery, I'm sure i didn't get ewcm and conceived my second. So if it was day 17 then tmrw onwards should show up if you caught it this month. Fingers crossed, if not onwards and upwards for your next cycle!? Smile

MakeAWhish · 02/09/2018 22:38

Ha, I like the practice idea! We did similar this month too
I'm not that sure when I ovulated as I never got a positive opk but I had EWCM days 15/16/17. Can you get that without ovulating? @Bloodylegoeverywhere

OP posts:
Bloodylegoeverywhere · 02/09/2018 22:34

What day did you ovulate @MakeAWhish?

Bloodylegoeverywhere · 02/09/2018 22:33

I'm having an odd month with my cycles and stuff, not sure if it's just a blip or something else going on. I'm on cd5 and dtd this am (my cycles are between 24 and 32) so thought I'd get started now....bit of practise whilst I head towards ovulation!? GrinGrin

MakeAWhish · 02/09/2018 22:20

Hey girls, how's everyone doing? I've been POAS like mad for the past 3 days, all BFNS Sad On CD30 of 32, so am pretty sure I'm out for this month. Xx

And you, @blueskiespls and @LatteLover12 Thanks

OP posts:
blueskiespls · 26/08/2018 16:15

@MakeAWhish all that sounds good then! I wish you all the luck, pls keep us posted!!

MakeAWhish · 25/08/2018 12:23

I don't think k my girls will find it too weird having to leave behind a half sibling to go to their dads, as they have 2 half brothers that live with their dad and step mum so they're used to it in that respect.
I hadn't considered children by diff fathers either, but here we are, and actually after thinking I'd been there, done that, it's rather exciting to contemplate having a second chance at a family life, as it were. Xx

Ooh I’m just back from a child free holiday too @MakeAWhish I think I’ll miss my child free weekends when they’re gone! I think my OH hasn’t quite grasped the full time aspect of a new baby!

I hadn’t considered it either @blueskiespls (and am fully expecting the cats bum face from my mother!) but life isn’t a straight line so here we are!

Is anyone else er, concerned about multiples? Shock

blueskiespls · 25/08/2018 09:52

@MakeAWhish oh enjoy your holiday!!!!i bet you are loving it. We've had a couple of small holidays on our own, was bliss actually. But the ones with the girls are always great fun, I can totally imagine them with a baby. Just cannot imagine a boy (as I've never had one!) so seem to only picture a girl. I sometimes wonder will it be weird for them because the new child will always be with us and they go off to their dads? Hmm

blueskiespls · 25/08/2018 09:48

@MakeAWhish @LatteLover12
It is kind of spooky! I have considered posting something about having 3rd child with new partner but wasn't sure what reception I would get Confusedit's actually just really nice knowing there are other families out there like ours. I never thought I would have children with different dads... but there you go!!

MakeAWhish · 25/08/2018 09:36

@blueskiespls also, I must confess I am writing this from a sun lounger at an adults only all inclusive hotel in Spain, as the girls are with their dad for a week - I'll certainly miss this next year, all being well! Ha. X

OP posts:
MakeAWhish · 25/08/2018 09:31

@blueskiespls possibly quite mental! Haha! No, it'll be lovely. And are you also finding it odd that our daughters are exactly the same age too?! Shock Spooky! The girls are with us full time, they go to their dads every other weekend. I do love those lazy child free weekends tho Confused
