I was wondering if there was anyone else out there who is or has been in a similar position? And if so what did you do?

My cycle is normally 31/32 days long. I’m now on cycle day 40 but still getting BFN. We have been actively TTC for last 4 months so praying for a positive result soon.

When is too early to call your GP?
When did others get their BFP?

I’ve read threads talking about chemical pregnancies, ectopic pregnancies etc so getting nervous and really hoping to get some answers soon.

Any help would be great, thank you

AF came today. Sometimes I think it would be better to just give up :( xx

Let us know how you get on at the doctors- good luck! I am 24 dpo and 10 days late. My BBT is still high and I’ve done way too many tests, each time thinking it’s going to show a positive but no- no idea what’s going on! Will book a doctors appointment next week if still no BFP or sign of AF.

So when I went to take my sample for the doctors this I just couldn’t help myself but use my last HPT in the drawer. Still looks like it’s probably negative but at the same time I’m sure I see a line....

Thank you everyone for your advice and comments, it’s reassuring to know others are in the same position. I called the doctors today who have asked me to send in a urine sample for them to send off for testing but will take a few days to come back. I’m going to try and resist the temptation to do a HPT in the meantime and try my best to be patient and positive. Prayers for you all too, hope we all get our BFP soon x

@PenguinBeach sorry I have no advice but I'm in the same situation. 28 day cycle, 6 days late and still BFN. Now I'm trying to convince myself to stop wasting money on HPTs but it's hard! Hope it's good news for u xx

Hi OP, I’m on cd 37 today. Have pregnancy symptoms but only in the last few days. Went to see my GP last Friday and I’ve an app in the morning again to see her. She said she will redo test and if still negative she will refer me for an ultrasound. Totally understand how you’re feeling x

Way too early for gp. They won't care until you're at least a month late.

When did you ovulate? It's very normal to have a cycle where you ovulated later than you normally do. Because the time between ov and the start of af is pretty static, if you ovulate late, af would be late too. This is why many women use opks, bbt and physical symptoms to track ovulation.

Chemicals (and the vast majority of ectopics) would give you a positive test.

If you get shoulder tip pain or pain on one side of your groin, seek help as these are signs of an ectopic.

The only other thing to do is wait and see... good luck!
