Yeah we've been 3 times! Don't think we'll bother going again! It was the same show every time

Munchies89 · 15/08/2018 19:51

Ah that's amazing! You'll have the best time then 😀 the first time we got to go there, we only went for 5 days!! Second time was 7days at the start of our honeymoon. Have you experienced coco bongos?x

Hopefulforourrainbow · 15/08/2018 19:46

It's our favourite place too! This will be our 5th time. Got married there too a few years ago! It's my happy place!

Munchies89 · 15/08/2018 19:19

Omg @Anne that's amazing news! I'm so so soooo happy for you. Long may it continue!

Wow @LabMum can't believe you're that far along already. I bet it's not going so quick for you though. Glad everything is looking well so far.

I'm glad the bleeding has settled down @Paranormalbouquet

Omg @Hopefulforourrainbow Mexico is absolutely amazing! Our favourite place ever. Have an amazing time. 2 weeks as well!

Hope you're having a lovely time away @CurlyTwirlyTwos

Ah will it be a party or a get together @Miami? Do many people know you're pregnant?x

Hopefulforourrainbow · 15/08/2018 19:05

Haha I'd never manage to not look at my phone! Hope you're having a lovely time. Weather is crap here now. I don't seem to be getting notifications for new thread. Does anyone know how to turn them on?

CurlyTwirlyTwos · 15/08/2018 17:35

Thanks for the tag and adding me to the new thread!

Really pleased for you @AnnelovesGilbert, fingers crossed it will go well from now on. I have a feeling it’s your time now! I really do, you’ve been through so much, and supported others all the way through too (and met work deadlines)! I don’t know how you’ve done it. All my fingers and toes are crossed - like others have said I’ve got a bit emotional this afternoon.

@Hopefulforarainbow - your lady sounds crazy, in one ear out of the other! Focus on your lovely upcoming hols.

I’ve tried opks twice, but never got the hang of them. One month I never got a positive, yet still got pregnant (which didn’t last) so I’m not sure whether that was an omen. I was supposed to temp this month, but lost the thermometer Hmm I tend to guess ovulation according to apps and go for it for about 5 days Grin

It does work for me, but nothing has stuck this year Sad - perhaps I need a new approach?

Currently in a Spanish villa with all my in laws, and as lovely (and well meaning) as they are, I needed to get away for a bit, and broken my vow on not looking at my phone or email Smile.

Keep posting news on scans, they are lovely to read xx

Hopefulforourrainbow · 15/08/2018 16:37

That's amazing news @Anne! I've been so worried for you today.
I'm on CD20, usually ovulate around CD21. I've had a few twinges today on right side. I usually have sore boobs, super sense of smell, sex feels different and have a little spotting after. I have long cycles, around 33-35 days. We're going to mexico on 1st September for 2 weeks. Can't wait! I'll still be on my period for first few days then coming up for ovulation towards the end going by ovia app. We come home on CD19. I've been looking in to things i can take to help ovulate early as you're right, holiday sex is always better! Have any of you tried soy isoflavones?

Miami81 · 15/08/2018 16:17

Sorry @Labmum I just reread. I just realised you were saying you were sick up to 16 wks before.
That's great that your screening results are low risk.

OP posts:
Miami81 · 15/08/2018 16:15

Oh @AnneLovesGilbert having a bit of a hormonal sob at your good news. It feels like such a milestone when you get to a point where you've not been before. Your consultant sounds ace. I like it when they are just totally on a level and are willing to throw the kitchen sink at the problem.
I barely slept last night, I just got super anxious and then couldn't switch my brain off at all. Have sacked off work for the day, feel guilty but really I know that it's only a day and the sky won't fall.
I felt loads of lovely sickie symptoms yesterday and today I feel fine. Which of course makes me panic.
It's DH 40th birthday celebration on Saturday night and I am just hoping that we make it to there unscathed. Waiting 2 wks for next scan is really hard.
@Labmum 16 weeks, you could totally be feeling movements.

OP posts:
Labmum · 15/08/2018 16:06

@AnneLovesGilbert I'm so pleased for you lovely, that's wonderful news. I've been checking the thread all day (and working very hard of course Wink).

@TaylsN thats good you're getting sorted but I think I'd have been very freaked out by chat of delivery schedules. I wouldn't even let me GP give me a due date when I went in for my MW referral as I just couldn't think that far ahead.

@Munchies89 glad you've got your appointments lined up and are feeling well. Keeping everything crossed for you that this is your turn!

@hopefulforourrainbow try not to overthink what that crazy lady said last week, it was really unfair of her to load that on you. Enjoy your holiday and try not to worry about ovulation. I never get a very positive OPK, theres either a very faint/no line or there's a line you can see but its not as dark at the control line. Try testing around 4pm and again around 9pm (obviously depending on work shifts), peaks can go pretty quick.

Not much to report here. Screening test results came back low risk which is a relief. Still feeling nauseous, it lasted til 16 weeks with DS so probably got a couple more weeks ahead of it at least. I'm definitely getting a bit of a bump although mostly just look fat and seem to inflate over the day then it deflates over night. Still shattered, taking naps when I can although sometimes it makes me feel worse as I then wake up feeling even more tired and sick. Hard to know if I'm feeling bits of flutters here and there or if its just wind. Feeling like 2 weeks is a long time to last until my next appointment which is a RMC consultant appointment where I'm hoping they'll listen in with a doppler or I may have to pay for a private scan to put me out of my misery.

Paranormalbouquet · 15/08/2018 15:46

Oh that’s fantastic news Anne! I’ve been checking back all day!

Bleeding has stopped here for now. Baby has been kicking very low so that’s maybe what’s happening. I’ll keep an eye for now and if it starts again I’ll go in and ask someone to take a look.

AnneLovesGilbert · 15/08/2018 15:46

Thank you @TaylsN When will you get your results ? Glad all is going well so far Smile

I don't blame you for freaking out a bit about delivery schedules! Are you on progesterone? I had a blood test done for it today to see if the pessaries are absorbing.

Which CD are you @Hopefulforourrainbow? I was in exactly the same place during our long dry patch. I read something about people not ovulating and not realising on some stupid forum and got very panicked. I don't want to keep banging on about temping but that was one of the reasons I tried it and to stop getting my hopes up if af seemed to be running late. I'm sure your ovaries are beautiful and functioning perfectly, and you have two, you only really need one so two is great. But I doubt it helps what anyone says and sorry you're stressed about it. Do you usually have a regular cycle and have you ever had ovulating symptoms? It's funny what you start to notice when you're paying more attention. My super nose started appearing mid cycle.

Where will you be in your cycle while you're on holiday? Holiday sex is the best, can you put ttc thoughts behind you for a week and just enjoy being together?

Good you're feeling well @Munchies89, hope your appointments pass without comment and you're being well looked after x

AnneLovesGilbert · 15/08/2018 15:36

Good news! I am now the most pregnant I've ever been Grin All on track at 9+5.

Heard the hb again, saw it moving around. He thinks I'm likely to bleed again but didn't really explain why other than all the blood thinners. Have the green light to get back to shagging too which is nice.

Having an unofficial scan with him next week at another hospital as he's off on hols the next day and we're away the week after.

Said uterus and placenta are all good and progressed well on the xtra cyclogest the last 2 weeks. I have to do morning ones up the bum and nighttime up the vag and increase night time dose to 3 if more spotting.

I can't describe the relief. I know it's only early days still but the last week has been so anxious and things are still okay in there.

Going to book in, he was a bit wary but as we're away soon we'll lose the window for the nuchal if I don't.

Thank you for all the kind wishes. I'm still pregnant Smile Can't quite believe it.

Munchies89 · 15/08/2018 14:15

Sorry cross post @Hopefulforourrainbow so sorry you're feeling so anxious right now. I take it your not seeing that lady again? Hopefully she's completely crazy and it's not true what she's said.
Tell us more about your holiday xx

Munchies89 · 15/08/2018 14:13

Thank you @TaylsN how are you feeling? How many weeks are you? I totally get that feeling and that's why I've been so hesitant to book appointments x

Hopefulforourrainbow · 15/08/2018 14:13

Hi ladies. So many of you are pregnant now! It's so exciting! Thought came in to my head this morning, if I don't ovulate this month maybe reflexology lady was right and there is a blocked fallopian tube. Im feeling so anxious about things just now. It's really not like me. This holiday can't come soon enough!
Hope the scan went well @Anne.
Sorry you've had spotting @paranormal. Terrible way to be treated. I hope you manage to get an appointment sorted.

TaylsN · 15/08/2018 14:01

@annelovesgilbert I'd gone on the old thread to wish you luck today and then saw the thread was closed.
Hope all looks well Smile
@munchies hope all goes well with starting your appointments.
I had blood drawn again yesterday to make sure hcg is climbing and that progesterone still looks good. We'll see. The midwife was very optimistic and already wrote my name into their delivery schedule for April. Not sure how I feel about that. It's encouraging she's optimistic but I'm afraid I'll feel even more devastated if we lose it again.

Munchies89 · 15/08/2018 10:53

@Anne it's crazy how pregnancy hormones can affect ours dreams. I'm glad they were a little more positive... Well one especially. As the last thing you need is extra anxiety right now.
As always we are all keeping everything crossed for you and will be checking here for an update later.

I'm still feeling really well. I'm glad the appointments are booked but can't help think about the what ifs...however trying to stay more positive about things right now. Due to my diabetes and other things I have a lot of appointments booked into my work calendar at the moment....hoping no one notices or asks questions until I'm ready to say something x

AnneLovesGilbert · 15/08/2018 09:34

Oh no @Paranormalbouquet, how worrying for you and what a shit response, sorry Flowers

Definitely contact your consultant. Are they normally good at replying?

Hey @Munchies89! How are you doing? Thank you. Had two absolutely insane dreams, one where the baby's head had fallen off but it was otherwise fine, and one where all was well. I had a chat with it for the first time as I was nodding off last night. Feeling quite calm and collected at the moment. Will make the crash worse it if comes but for now I'm enjoying some rare zen.

Well done on sorting your appointments. How do you feel about it all?

Munchies89 · 15/08/2018 09:10

Girls I thought I had lost you!! Wondered why it had gone so quiet.

Good luck for the scan today @AnnelovesGilbert

Hope the spotting settles down asap @Paranormalbouquet and you get some reassurance from the consultant.

I've just taken the plunge and booked my appointments with RMC and midwife at the GP surgery x

Paranormalbouquet · 15/08/2018 08:29

Hi all, wrote a message on old thread before realising it was full and lost it yesterday.

Popping on to say good luck today Anne.

Hopeful I don’t get on with OPKs either. But I have a very regular cycle and good signs of ovulation.

I’ve had spotting since last night myself. Called midwife who essentially said since I was under 24 weeks they aren’t interested. I think I’ll email my consultant and see what she thinks. I’m sure it’s most likely just cervical irritation from the stitch but still don’t like to see it.

AnneLovesGilbert · 14/08/2018 17:46

Nice to see you all here. Thanks for the good wishes. Feeling a bit nervous, if we hadn’t had Sundays highs and lows I’d have been fully expecting bad post 9 week news but now thinking I’ll be pretty gutted if something’s happened. Time alone will tell and all that. Buggering time.

Miami81 · 14/08/2018 17:20

@beanhunter I didn't get a 3+ on the last digi I did, even though the blood hcg taken two days before was definitely over the threshold for a 3+ (I was testing at 5+2). So don't panic if you don't get the 3+ is what I am trying to say. I saw my bean twice after that and so far all good.
Next scan isn't til next week at 9+4 but I am trying to be all zen about it as there is nothing I can do that will change it now.
@AnneLovesGilbert I will be thinking of you tomorrow.

OP posts:
beanhunter · 14/08/2018 17:03

Thanks. I’ve found you.
Technically 5 weeks tomorrow. Ran out of frer and used some cheapie South African test and it was really faint so that’s massively stressed me out. Have forked out for a digital with weeks indicator but I’m scared if I don’t get a 3+ it’s all over so not sure when to test.

Hopefulforourrainbow · 14/08/2018 17:00

Hope scan goes well tomorrow @Anne. Will be thinking of you. POAS doesn't really phase me to be honest. Need to stock up on vitamins etc for next cycle. Is B complex vitamins ok or am I better buying them individually? I can't remember which vitamin it was that was mentioned before.
