That's good news @bean

beanhunter · 28/08/2018 13:01

No they didn’t.

Paranormalbouquet · 28/08/2018 13:00

Just catching up on the thread. Bean that’s great news- sometimes there can be huge amounts of bleeding and still the baby holds on. One of the ladies on the pregnancy thread had regular large bleeds in first and second trimester, completely unexplained and without any seeming damage to baby. Did they look at your cervix? When I had an ectropion with DD I bled very very heavily.

beanhunter · 28/08/2018 12:57

I’m staying off until I see the mc consultant next weds.
Nothing we can do. It’ll either be ok or not.

Munchies89 · 28/08/2018 12:57

Oh wow @bean! What a scary and horrible time. I'm so relieved for you. Are you able to stay at home and rest? Have they recommended anything?xx

beanhunter · 28/08/2018 12:52

It’s still there somehow with a heartbeat. No guarantees though.
Measures 6+4 vs the +6 I should be.
Small SCH but they aren’t sure why I bled so much.

Hopefulforourrainbow · 28/08/2018 10:48

@ruanna81 your story sounds pretty similar to mine except I'm 33. I've had tests which have all come back normal so we have apparently had bad luck. I'm hoping AF will start soon and we'll start trying again next month after a 5 month break. I plan to use vitamin b6 and Agnus castus/chasteberry fruit to reduce the length of my long cycle. I can't seem to get past 5 1/2 weeks and though my first mc was missed and I found out at 13 weeks it had stopped growing at same stage. Good luck for trying again and I'm sorry you've found yourself here too. Do you plan on waiting til you've had some results?

Munchies89 · 28/08/2018 10:11

Welcome @oddsbobbins and @Ruanna81. Sorry you're both here.
@Ruanna are you planning to speak to your GP soon for a referral to RMC?

I'm sat at work (luckily on my own) crying my eyes out as just so fed up. X

Ruanna81 · 28/08/2018 08:30

Hello again ladies,

I thought I'd write something about me instead of just popping up here and there with messages from someone you don't "know" yet Smile

We've been TTC our first baby for over two years, started when I was just 35 (later than I would have wanted, but if we know anything, it's that life doesn't always go as you plan, does it?). The first pregnancy took almost a year, then we discovered I'd had a MMC just before the twelve week scan. Because of some unrelated medical tests I was having, we then couldn't TTC for about ten frustrating months, although I don't think I was really ready emotionally to try again for a lot of that time, anyway. I then conceived first month back in April this year but miscarried at six weeks, waited one month as advised at the epu then conceived again the next month and sadly miscarried the third time about two weeks ago, this time only about five weeks. The third time felt almost inevitable but also still horribly surprising somehow.

So, we're just trying to get out heads around the fact that this probably doesn't fall into the "just coincidence" and bad luck category any more, and the uncertainty of what testing might bring (or not bring). I felt sad but relatively pragmatic for the first week (I think a bit of relief at being home again as we were on a pretty remote holiday when it happened), and in a way glad we could at least now be referred to a RMC, but in the last few days I'm not doing so well with it all - lots of guilt and blaming myself in all the creative ways we find to do that... I know the up and down is all normal, but as I'm sure everyone else here finds, it can feel pretty lonely once you get to this stage, so the idea of linking up with some people who "get it" sounded good Smile

Anyway, if we all have to be going through this, then it's nice to join you all here WineWine

Ruanna81 · 28/08/2018 08:06

Bean, so sorry you're going through this. I hope you get well looked after. Thinking of you as well Flowers

Hopefulforourrainbow · 28/08/2018 07:38

@bean thinking of you.
Hi @oddsbobbins rant away! That's what we're here for

Labmum · 28/08/2018 07:22

Oh @beanhunter thinking of you and hoping you can get to EPU and get some answers.

Munchies89 · 28/08/2018 06:54

It's so shit 😢 I'm sorry hun. It's just not fair xx

beanhunter · 28/08/2018 06:52

There’s just no way it can be ok. It’s so heavy.

Munchies89 · 28/08/2018 06:47

Oh @bean! Keeping everything crossed for you and thinking of you xx

beanhunter · 28/08/2018 06:41

Bled torrentially overnight. Waiting for epau to open. Passed something massive though so sure it’s over.

oddsbobbins · 27/08/2018 21:33

Hi ladies, I was wondering if I might join you? It sounds like you've all had a really tough time reading through the last few pages. FMU that sounds like such a huge gift to give another family, I hope that you get a chance to do that and that you get to make the decisions that feel right for you.

I've had 2 mmc this year, paid for some private tests which as the doctor said suggest I have 'a bit of an autoimmune profile' that raises my chances of future miscarriages, but not anything clear enough to treat with anything other than aspirin and happy thoughts next time I'm pregnant. So that's really encouraging. I just found out that yet another friend who has been trying for less time than me is pregnant, to nicely complement the pregnant lady I sit next to at work, so I'm about ready to tear my hair out. Sorry for coming on here and ranting.

MissPMA · 27/08/2018 21:27

FMU I’m in awe of what an amazing and selfless thing you are considering.
@miami I hope everything has settled down and you enjoyed your day out

Hopefulforourrainbow · 27/08/2018 20:57

Wow what an incredibly brave, amazing thing to do. Have been thinking of you.
How are you @Miami? Hope the spotting has settled.

Paranormalbouquet · 27/08/2018 20:26

FMU that's incredibly thoughtful and brave; if you can go ahead with it I really hope it brings comfort to you and your family.

FuckMyUterus · 27/08/2018 20:06

Yeah miami81 that's what I'd imagine would be her role. It'd be so hard, but not as hard as just having to end the pregnancy having gained fuck all from it. That's gonna near on destroy me if the baby isn't in a good enough state to continue the pregnancy.

Miami81 · 27/08/2018 20:00

@FuckMyUterus that is an incredible thing to even consider doing. I am sure that bereavement midwife will be able to signpost counselling etc that will help with both the practicalities but also the emotional toil involved in continuing your pregnancy for this very selfless reason.

Nothing at 12 week scan, no. They couldn't get baby's nuchal translucency measurements so I had to have a blood test called the quad screening test. This picked up high levels of a particular hormone, which triggered a detailed fetal medicine scan, which picked up all the problems.

Labmum · 27/08/2018 19:12

Ive been away all weekend so have just been catching up. @FMU that's a truly incredible thing to do. You are one strong selfless lady. Huge hugs to you.

Can I ask did they pick it up at the 12 week scan? How did they find it if not from that?

jinglebells123 · 27/08/2018 18:11

FMU what an increadible thing to do xxxx
