@OhFFSMum congrats ☺️🎉 maybe try a digital test so u can physically see it in black and white?? I don’t think u really need to worry about the line getting stronger as that’s quite a positive test!!

I’m in a similar situation!! I started bleeding yesterday but it was just streaked in my mucus. By the evening tho it had disappeared! This morning I’ve had nothing!! I’ve never had anything like this, normally I spot the day before af and it gradually gets heavier and heavier!! I’m around 10/13 dpo (I have 4 smiley opks so I have no idea exactly when o happened) and af is due on sat/sun!! Hoping it’s a good sign but I don’t want to get my hopes up!! Xxx

Hi, so I’m new to this - I hope I’m posting my question in the right place (forgive me if not:) - so had sex on 11th August and had my copper coil removed on the 13th August. I then found out from my monthly cycle app that I was fertile from the 14th Aug with ovulation day being the 19th Aug. So this this Sunday just gone 2nd sept I came on my period (bang on time) however this period was heavy for Sunday & Monday teeny bit tues then nothing? Which is very odd for me as I am super regular and usually on for 4-5 days! I am so confused as to what is going on? Could this be implantation bleeding even if it’s heavy? It just doesn’t seem like a ‘normal’ period for me? And also the cramping has started today oddly - nothing during my ‘period’ sorry for the essay ...hope someone can help or has experienced similar :)

maddiie · 02/09/2018 18:17

@Messyhouse5 a week??? nooo was hoping I could find out tomorrow haha. Thank you xx

Messyhouse5 · 02/09/2018 17:57

@maddie sorry I can't be much help but if this is different to your normal experience then maybe its good news but you need to wait another week before testing. I also read somewhere that pinkish discharge can be you ovulating so not necessarily pregnant but that your body is doing the right thing... good luck xxxxxx

Sorry to crash the thread. Two days ago I had some really light pink blood when I wiped, next time I went to the loo 2 hours later there was a little bit of brownish blood and nothing since. The whole thing lasted two hours, no cramps or pains and still no period. I don't know what day I'd be on, I'm really irregular and my cycles have been varying between 40-100+ days so don't know when my period would be due so can't figure out date wise if this is likely to be implantation bleeding but does this sound similar to other people's experiences with it?

I'm awful at tricking myself into thinking I have pregnancy symptoms but I'd never even heard of implantation bleeding until I googled what happened with the two hours of pink/brown blood but don't want to get my hopes up. Did one test straight after which was negative but then read online it would of been too soon anyway?

Messyhouse5 · 02/09/2018 09:53

I'm desperately trying to hold out, I am only one day late but absolutely no sign of period and no more brown discharge but still cramping.

I may give in and buy a test later.

Anyone else thinking of testing today?

Messyhouse5 · 02/09/2018 09:32

@OhFFSMum - you got to do what feels right for you but to be honest a positive is a positive so you are pregnant!

My 2nd daughter I had two tests, was negative the day before I was due and day I was due period I almost through it away thinking it was negative again but as I sat there and squinted the line slowly formed and was vert faint.

It was the 2nd test in the pack and a first response I think so I had no more and heard they were reliable.

I think we can drive ourselves mad, you had a positive test and no period so try and relax for now. Going through the palaver of you being told the hormones are low which they could possibly still be will further your stress. There is nothing you can really do that this point. Why don't you try and do something nice today to distract yourself, a nice walk, lunch, enjoy the sun (much nicer then blood tests and the stress that it involves sitting around waiting). Try fill your body with some happy relaxed hormones and tomorrow or the next day get another quality test to put your mind at rest.

Sending big hugs

xxxx (sorry not sure how to delete last one i did not tag you in)

@OhFFSMum I have no idea sorry! From what I've seen on here though, it can take a while for the hormones to increase that rapidly, but I'd get a blood test for peace of mind x

OhFFSMum · 02/09/2018 09:15

Thank you ladies! I think other half is being very cautious at the moment as such early days. We tested again this morning as I wanted to see if the lines had got any darker but they haven't... Still BFP but same as Friday, and the Poundland ones are still bfn? Not sure what to think about that. I'm 18dpo now so surely should be nice and strong now? Should I contact EPU to see if they'll take bloods to test for HCG levels?

Messyhouse5 · 01/09/2018 21:33

@OhFFSMum congratulations!

cupcakesandglitter · 31/08/2018 09:33

@OhFFSMum bless him, has it hit him yet? 😂😂 x

OhFFSMum · 31/08/2018 09:28

Hubby didn't believe it and asked if I'd drawn a line on there LOL. He couldn't understand why it was negative yesterday and not today...

OhFFSMum · 31/08/2018 09:17

Thank you ladies. I just knew it, I couldn't understand why I was getting the BFN's. Feel excited but a bit nervous / worried now for various reasons. But still - least I know. Keep going you'll get your BFP's XX

cupcakesandglitter · 31/08/2018 09:04

@OhFFSMum oh congrats!!!!!! 💕 Xx

twinkledag · 31/08/2018 08:41

@OhFFSMum I'm with you on feeling crap. I had the most surreal dream last night that I had a beautiful baby boy, so I'm now even more upset because I thought I was pg. I've got sore boobs too (I've actually not worn a bra for two days because they're hurting so much). I'd try an FRER, let me know how you get on x

@SparkyBlue congrats!! Xx

@Yogagirl123 mine was more on AF side than discharge 😩

@JaneDarcy aww I'm pleased you got your BFP 💕 I keep hoping that it'll happen to me and it I'll have to keep testing to prove to myself I am 😂 it's so sad, but I just wish I had a reason for this month messing up! X

JaneDarcy · 30/08/2018 09:29

cupcakes I can't remember with the first pregnancy of I had other symptoms. I was really tired around the time my period should have arrived but we were moving house and dh was away so it was a pretty busy time anyway. Didn't test that time till he came home so I was probably 20dpo at that point.
2nd time I was so sure I wasn't pg I went mad on amazon and bought 200 ovulation predictor sticks.Blush Got my bfp the next day Grin only took the pg test to prove to myself that I wasn't pregnant, my period was on the way so I could stop checking my undies every 4 seconds to see if it had arrived! Grin

Yogagirl123 · 30/08/2018 09:05

Not with my first pregnancy, but when TTC with DC2 I had period like cramps and a tiny amount of bloody discharge which was very unusual for me.

I can remember telling MIL she said straight away perhaps there is something there, she has the same before finding out she was pregnant too.

SparkyBlue · 30/08/2018 08:55

I had an implantation bleed on my first pregnancy. It was like the start of a period but a week early. For me it was reddish blood and lasted a day. Last Wednesday exact same thing but I assumed an early period as we are not ttc at all but by Friday I was suspicious of why my period had vanished and lo and behold I am pregnant. Complete and utter shock. BTW I never had an implantation bleed on my second pregnancy with DS.

OhFFSMum · 30/08/2018 08:47

Hey ladies. Still BFN this morning. I really hoped today would be the day I got a BFP as I'm 15dpo today :( . Stomach is bloated, boobs big and a bit sore (my little boy kept kicking them all night and it HURT), I'm a hormonal crazy woman... Maybe the three / four days of light spotting was actually my period? But I've never had that (I'm nearly 37) - they're always always crazy heavy. Getting really pissed off now tbh. I'm gonna buy a First Response if I can as everyone seems to say they're the most sensitive and I'll try and leave it a couple of days. But yeah - feeling pissed off / down about it all now. How are u ladies doing?

cupcakesandglitter · 29/08/2018 22:19

@JaneDarcy oh okay! Thankyou for posting - did you have any other symptoms? D

JaneDarcy · 29/08/2018 22:18

Both pregnancies I've had brown discharge at the time my period was due 12dpo to 15dpo) . For maybe 3/4/5 days. Red blood never appeared. Got bfp on 15dpo. Good luck

cupcakesandglitter · 29/08/2018 22:12

@OhFFSMum that sounds promising - when was AF originally due? Sorry if I've missed it if you've said it below, but maybe test again in a couple of days? Fx for you!!

I have no idea, I'm going to see how I go, and see what my cycle does this month. I'll monitor it and then speak to my GP if it doesn't get any better I think - not sure I can do much until then 😩
