Goodness knows @Patapouf but I'd like to know that too as I've been symptom spotting (after promising myself I wouldn't...!)

Been super tired and been having bubbly feeling one minute in my uterus and then almost like period twinges (but not painful). It's a good 8 or 9 days til AF is due so can be that?!

Patapouf · 12/08/2018 22:12

crossfit sometimes a good cry really does do wonders Flowers

Pleased to hear you are feeling better mrsm!

I’ve been wondering about hormones during the tww, if it is generally accepted that it isn’t possible to experience pregnancy symptoms during this time, are the ‘sypmtoms’ causes by the usual pms hormones? Why would our bodies still produce these if implantation hasn’t occurred? Does that hormone play a role in implantation?

Crossfitgirl · 12/08/2018 20:50

@purplestar great idea :-) I didn't have any in the house at all so that I would have to go out and buy one if AF didn't show up on due date, meaning I could only then test the next morning with fmu. I only have some in as I was a day late last cycle, so bought a pack of 3 cheapies from the supermarket.
Even if I use one of those, I'm not sure I trust them so I'd have to go get a clear blue to confirm it anyway! Lol

I think it's so much better to wait and know it's a reliable test xx

Crossfitgirl · 12/08/2018 20:24

Thanks everyone for all your lovely words and support, it helps so much having friends on here who understand, it really means a lot to me that you've all taken the time to respond, it has really made me feel lots better. Im definitely massively hormonal and sensitive today, so Thank you 💕

@delilah7 it's so funny, I always had a low sex drive too and when we first got together and he was the one wanting more! Now the tables have turned!

And yes they always want it at the wrong time, fertile window is long gone! But I guess it's still important to do it just because you want to, as well as for a baby. Just not AS important... 😏

I haven't tested, I'm only 8dpo today, even though AF is due tomorrow, so I'm just going to wait. I only have ICs, so can't do a FRER. The spotting actually seems to have settled down, but I am awaiting the full flow tomorrow. Ill keep you posted if I do decide to test!

I had gin and chocolate earlier (nieces bday party!) and some retail therapy - I'm looking at BBT thermometers - can anyone recommend which brand / link to the one you use? I'd rather buy tried and tested!

Also, I agree with getting hammered. We always have better sex when we're drunk! And it's mainly cos DH lasts a bit longer 😂😂

@daisiesandpeonies don't forget, the apps do just estimate. As soon as I put my ov date into clue, it extended my cycle by another week, despite me being regular since coming off the pill. And it still estimates my ov date a week earlier than my test showed, even though it's meant to update the accuracy when you put that sort of info in. Don't let it get you down, go with what you know, your symptoms, tests etc xxx

purplestar9 · 12/08/2018 20:05

I also have been given news of a friend who is pregnant with her second child, it does kind of make you feel jealous, but of course I'm happy for her and she doesn't know we're TTC.
I've just told DH that he is to hide the pregnancy tests and only to allow me to have them when AF is late, I'm determined to not test early this cycle! Haha 🙈

FlapJackered · 12/08/2018 17:39

Ps @Crossfitgirl - maybe it is implantation bleeding? 🤞🏻 have you tested just to make sure?

OP posts:
FlapJackered · 12/08/2018 17:37

@Crossfitgirl - sorry you're having a rubbish day. It can be frustrating when the OHs make things more difficult at a time when you want them to make things easier and be more supportive! My DH is the same, he initiated sex this morning after I have told him i don't think I am fertile atm. I do wonder if it's a bit to do with the pressure of Dtd around ovulation makes them want it less, bloody annoying though!
I haven't had the joy of house hunting with DH yet as he moved in with me a while ago, but I am sure it will be a nightmare when we do as we have such different priorities.

@MrsM2017 - that stat is just not high enough! I feel like if you hit the nail on the head with timing it just before ovulation it should be at least 80% - 25% is just mean!😂

@daisiesandpeonies - when you hear stories on other threads it is often when they went out and got hammered that they actually conceived, so you never know! I am testing that theory this week 😂.
I am with you on the long cycle this time, day 23 and still no sign of ovulation - cervix is low and no cm. bah! Gin it is! 🍸

Sorry I've been AWOL ladies have been away this weekend. Like @MrsM2017 I got some pregnancy news on Friday night from a family friend, delighted for her, but it took so much effort to be like "yaaayyy" when I'm soooo jealous it's unreal. Doesn't help when my mum was then joking with her mum about how I'm keeping her waiting for a grandchild... Wanted to scream!
We then went to spend the weekend with some friends of ours and another couple, none of us have kids. We all got absolutely HAMMERED last night which I'm sort of regretting now, my poor head 😂 Really needed a fun night with no baby chat though.
I'm CD 19 and no positive OTK yet. Am convinced something is wrong as Clue says I should be fertile by now. Worried that this cycle will break my 40 day record. We are managing to DTD - even very drunkenly last night - but I have no idea what my body is doing tbh.
@Crossfitgirl sorry you had a rubbish day, we are all here for you to vent. I had so many rows about houses with my husband if it's any consolation, it all felt worth it when we found the perfect place ❤️

MrsM2017 · 12/08/2018 15:39

@FlapJackered definitely!! I've had the "aching ovaries" too! All it takes is seeing a baby and *bam! Swear I must look like a right weirdo when I coo stupidly over a baby ina supermarket! 😂

Thank you @Patapouf (and everyone else) for your kind words. I'm feeling so much better today 😘 fingers crossed for your BFP this month x

So sorry about your bad day @Crossfitgirl hugs
I know exactly where you are coming from and it's so hard - and definitely not trivial at all. I swear emotions are so much more sensitive/heightened when TTC.
I know how frustrating it is when you think you have DTD on the right time each month - we've been doing exactly that for most of our TTC journey, but so far just been unlucky as I know there is still only a 25% chance of success even with perfectly timed baby dancing.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed you that it's not your AF coming but, as you say, an implantation bleed...wishing you lots of love and luck x

CrystalBlaze · 12/08/2018 14:46

@Crossfitgirl like others have said we are here for you. Make sure you spoil yourself today x

ValidUser · 12/08/2018 14:44

@Crossfitgirl we've got your back. Sending a back-achey hug from afar. X

sunshine1987 · 12/08/2018 14:30

@NeverStopExploring I know a lot of people who bought into the theory this app is based on around when to have sex during fertile period to conceive a boy or girl

NeverStopExploring · 12/08/2018 14:05

Ingenious coming up with an app and charging people when it only has to guess between two choices. The owner must be rich! I just can’t see how it could be anything other than guess work. @Crossfitgirl sorry to hear your having a bad day. Maybe take a backseat with the house search and leave him to find the properties for a bit? May make him realise a compromise is needed?

Delilah7 · 12/08/2018 13:15

@Crossfitgirl I never know when I am either but I just tell him we need to do it more this week or however many days... initiating the whole time can be exhausting though.

That's good news then about the house before... they're realise when they're so picky like my OH sometimes they can't just get everything they want.
I understand. Emotions are running extremely high for you and maybe with AF coming, disappointment and probably feeling abit distant from OH with how things have been today.

At the end of the day he can't expect to have a baby on only a few days sex ( however on the right days it might work 😂). And it should be a fun experience. That's what I'm trying to get my head round now. I've got a low sex drive and OH has high, but now the whole we are actually trying to have a baby has settled in I'm more up for it!!

Cry and a rant is good. Just never feel alone, I can speak for all of us that me and all the other ladies are here for you and we love you too xxx

Crossfitgirl · 12/08/2018 13:03

@delilah7 no, I haven't known when I've been ovulating for definite until this month.
I told him on the day I got the positive test, but I initiated that night (he definitely wasn't going to, we were already in bed lights out) then he was away for the weekend. Luckily I'd initiated the night before as well, I proper thought I'd timed it perfectly which is why I think I'm so gutted this time - it's so weird how even when you have sex on the right days, it doesn't happen!

Thanks about the house - that does make me feel better. Also, a house we saw a while back that he didn't like and I did, he has now told me he's coming round to the idea of it.

I just feel so emotional today.

We are on holiday next month (second week of Sept) so I'm gonna talk to him then about more actively trying, and see what he says.

I feel a little better after my cry and rant!

I love you ladies on here - thank you xxx

Delilah7 · 12/08/2018 12:50

@Crossfitgirl oh hun.

I'm so sorry you're having a bad day. Seeing AF ( if it is ) is so gutting. Regards to house, I can understand how stressful that is. My OH is very picky with houses too and before we started trying we moved to the house I loved that he would never go see!! In the end us women are always right, just remember that ;)

Always the way, does he know when you're ovulating? If so he needs to make more of the effort as if not just makes it seem like he doesn't actually wanna try. If you get what I mean??

We are here for you. Xxx

Delilah7 · 12/08/2018 12:47

@NeverStopExploring I've looked and you have to pay for it lol. I'm the same I'm normally very organised and planned with like birthdays Christmas etc. Other than that I'm normally so relaxed 😂

Crossfitgirl · 12/08/2018 12:46

Having such a bad day today!

First the beginnings of AF start, so I'm pretty certain I'm OUT for another month.

Then we just went to view a house that I LOVED, and when we got home my husband told me it needed this / that / the other doing to it, and he 'd want a new kitchen and its too expensive for where it is etc etc, he's so bloody picky we've looked at 4 places this weekend and I feel like I'll never find anywhere with him being so fussy and unwilling to compromise!

To add to it, the only reason we're looking for a bigger house is for kids, and we don't even have any yet! and we're not even having anywhere near enough sex, to make a baby anyway, and when DH finally decides to come on to me, its about a week too bloody late and I'm already starting bloody AF!!

I've just had a huge cry in the bathroom.

trivial issues I know, but today sucks :( and feeling so sensitive is just making me even more certain that I'll be full bleeding AF soon then I'll be even more depressed that the last tiny straw i'm clutching onto that this could still be an implantation bleed cos it's still not proper AF, is out the window.

meh

NeverStopExploring · 12/08/2018 12:37

Sorry to hear you miscarried @Delilah7 I’m usually very laid back to it’s very strange for me to be obsessing and planning etc but I will definatly try and relax though! I’m intrigued by the app your all talking about just to see how it works but like most of you I wouldn’t be fussed boy or girl

Delilah7 · 12/08/2018 11:58

@FlapJackered thank you 😘 was pretty testing. But I managed not to cry so I'm proud! Same as me. From a young age I've always been more about the health of the baby than the sex due to my nephew having special needs and complications throughout his life xxx

Delilah7 · 12/08/2018 11:57

@NeverStopExploring it's very normal to do that. Just try relax. I defo believe the first three months you over obsess about everything. I know I did coming off the pill and then fell the 4th and then miscarried. Xx

FlapJackered · 12/08/2018 11:56

@Crossfitgirl - so sorry to hear AF turned up. That's rubbish, although at least she turned up early rather than having to test. I hope you're ok?

@MrsM2017 - It is so hard to see people you know get pregnant so easily isn't it. Especially when it is not planned. I actually swear my ovaries ache sometimes just hearing someone is pregnant or if I see a cute baby. 😂

@Delilah7 I am sorry you had to test, that must have been so hard for you.
I haven't heard of that app, sounds intriguing! Like the others I am not to worried about the flavour I just want a baby but I would consider doing that for the next one!
