Those who got Pregnant first try.... is it Likely to happen again ?

So baby #1 was unplanned , I was on the pill!
Baby #2 was planned, fell pregnant first month trying !
Baby #3 , we haven't started trying yet.... What are the chances it'll be quick again ? Has anyone else fallen pregnant quickly more than once ? I feel like it's going to take forever this time because we were so lucky before

Yes Baby No 1 conceived first month we tried - I was 39.
Baby No 2 conceived first month we tried (baby no 1 was six months old) - I was 40.
I know we were lucky as given my age it could have been much longer.

Nope.

#1 first try

#2 took two years and a mc.

It's impossible to know how easily you will fall pregnant. I was just discussing today with a friend how many cases of secondary infertility we are aware of amongst two different circles of friends.

All 3 of mine happened first time. I think I've only had unprotected sex 3 times and have 3 kids... i know I am very lucky.

Second - first month

I remember that first period when starting to try for my first and I thought it's going to be really disappointing having periods you don't want every month then it never happened again that was it second month pregnant and DS 2 was even quicker!

First month of trying for both of mine and only had sex once in the window (weren't taking it v seriously as early days, or so we thought!). V lucky.

We’ve been very lucky too, 34 weeks pregnant with our second and both conceived straight away.

Dc1 - 1st month
DC2 - 2nd month
DC3 - 12 months
Currently pregnant with DC4 after contraceptive failure.

So all conceived very quickly/without trying, bar DC3, I nearly gave up on TTC with him as just didn't think it was going to happen. No real difference in lifestyle or anything so not sure why that one took so much longer. At the time I put it down to age (although I was only 35) but then that hasn't stopped me catching with this surprise baby!

First ds was a honeymoon baby, exactly 9 months from our wedding day. Second ds also on the first try exactly 2 years later. I did know my cycles though. But also know we're very lucky (my husband would have preferred a bit more 'trying'!)

First one was first try, second - took a couple of months. Then a mc. Then pregnant really easily 2 more times, both mc. Then it didt seen to happen for about 3/4 mo of trying then bingo.

Much older second time round.

1st baby was the first month we tried, 2nd baby was 5 months (and we were doing the whole ovulation sticks, tracking my cycle thing for the second baby.) There’s no guarantee it will happen as quick as your first but it probably means you won’t take much more than 6 months!

All of mine were conceived either unplanned, or within the first two months of trying.

I did have losses though, so even if you conceive quickly, it’s possible to still run into problems.

1st time without protection "shall we see what happens then?" Ds1 showd his face 9 months later.
With Ds2 "shall we try for another when we get back from holiday?" This conversation took place inJanuary 1999. Ds1 2 was born 9th October!!Grin

1st baby was 1st month we tried when we got back off honeymoon, didn't think it would be so quick as I only stopped the pill the month before. 2nd baby we thought we'd start trying when the eldest was one, she was born 9 months after the eldest 1st birthday.
We were very lucky, I never had the agony of a negative test.

I have 3. All conceived immediately.
First one came off the pill and was pregnant. Second one - first night of trying ( I think! Third one - had my coil taken out and was pregnant within 2 wks. I was 34 for that one. I am very lucky and I know that.

First month and second month and I was 35 and 37!! Very fortunate but also somewhat quicker than expected!

First I was pregnant first month, didn't even get a period after stopping the pill.

2nd took 6 months.
