So baby #1 was unplanned , I was on the pill!
Baby #2 was planned, fell pregnant first month trying !
Baby #3 , we haven't started trying yet.... What are the chances it'll be quick again ? Has anyone else fallen pregnant quickly more than once ? I feel like it's going to take forever this time because we were so lucky before

@8DaysAWeek here's hoping for both of us

LadysFingers · 02/08/2018 08:30

Ds - first time
4 miscarriages around 10 - 12 weeks - all first time
3 early pregnancy losses - all first time
Twins by IVF - first time

My mother also had two DC - first time

StylishMummy · 02/08/2018 08:30

Pregnant from very first 'attempt' with first and 'it was only one time' without condom with the second. I've joked about pimping DH out as a one man sperm bank...

Don’t worry @ReginaPHalange89

I conceived #1 without really trying and then got pregnant again first time out but sadly lost that one. #2 appeared on cycle 3 of ttc, conceived on my wedding night Grin

I am in the exact same position as you; I really want a summer 2019 baby to “space” birthdays but I’m in a quandary as to whether to keep my legs shut until September lest I get lucky first time or wake up to the fact I’m 38 and get on with it whatever.

Re miscarriages though; it’s a risk with every pregnancy, just glide like a swan and stay chill. You can’t fret about it, and good luck x

8DaysAWeek · 02/08/2018 08:25

I noticed that too @dragonmummy17 ! Fingers crossed for cycle 5 eh??

dragonmummy17 · 02/08/2018 08:22

@8DaysAWeek looks like we are on the same journey!

MrSpock · 02/08/2018 08:02

I was told it’s quite common to have losses if you conceive easily. Seems to be it either takes a while to get pregnant, or you get pregnant quickly but not all of them are successful.

ReginaPhalange89 · 02/08/2018 08:00

Thanks all!

It's quite scary how many people have said they've had a first baby easily and then had a mc second time round. I know I'm so lucky to have had 2 babies with no issues at all! Just hope it happens for us a 3rd time

1st was unplanned, trying for 2nd worked first try but early m/c, took 3mths after that, then 3rd was first try. Then had ivf to become a host surrogate which worked first time, now doing that again and will find out later today if we've had another successful first round!

DrDreReturns · 02/08/2018 06:55

I have two both of whom were conceived in the first month of trying.

lovelyjubilly · 02/08/2018 06:51

All three of mine were conceived first try.

MaverickSnoopy · 02/08/2018 06:46

1st - planned and conceived in month 1
2nd - drunk night no protection used for all of 10 seconds before condom was used and fell pregnant anyway

3rd - contraception failure

So in our case yes we found it easy. Many many people don't. After this birth we're definitely done so will be trippling up on contraception as we are under no illusions.

ThriftyMcThrifty · 02/08/2018 06:27

Oooh I’m in the same boat op. My first was unplanned when I was 29. My second we had sex once without a condom on honeymoon when I was 34. Now I’m 37, and in the first month trying. Fingers crossed!

Twodogsandahooch · 01/08/2018 23:34

DD1 first month
DD2 fell pregnant quickly (within 1-2 months) but had 3 early miscarriages so took over a year

NotSoThinLizzy · 01/08/2018 23:18

I was told after coming off my birth control that it would take about a year but it was in 1 month 😂

xyzandabc · 01/08/2018 23:06

3 times here. Conceived immediately all 3 times.
Sheer fluke, I've never tracked periods let alone 'fertile times' etc!

fieldmuse · 01/08/2018 23:05

Dc1 - first month trying
Dc2 - over a year trying, fertility testing, natural conception unlikely so had ivf

SamanthaH92 · 01/08/2018 23:03

First baby took 1 night, unfortunetly miscarriage and was unplanned. Second baby took 3 months to concieve after that but i had been on the pill. Another misscarriage after one night and the morning after pill 6 hours later (condom broke) fourth baby first month of trying but i think thats because i had checked ovulation and was taking folic acid and vit d tablets for a month prior to get my self ready as recommended by GP. Good luck xx

8DaysAWeek · 01/08/2018 23:03

First was conceived the first day we decided to try for a baby.

Onto cycle 5 for the second so not as lucky this time round.

HabbyHadno · 01/08/2018 23:00

First one the month after I came off the pill, so we'd only been trying for two weeks really.
Second one was an accident (conceived the day before I thought my period was due and we'd only DTD once in three months).

SecretWitch · 01/08/2018 22:50

First one planned to the minute. Next two unplanned but very much wanted. I was 42 when I gave birth to third child.

dragonmummy17 · 01/08/2018 22:42

Not for us. DS is a honeymoon baby conceived first month. 5 cycles in to ttc DC2

Theworldisfullofgs · 01/08/2018 22:37

Both dc conceived first try.

TaggieRR · 01/08/2018 22:36

Conceived both dc within first month of trying. I was 28 and 30.

SasBel · 01/08/2018 22:35

Yup, all 3 first month of trying. Good luck!
