Thanks for the ladies who came back on the ewcm/ov question. We dtd last night and I'll hopefully pin him down again on Saturday. I'm genuinely clueless about the implications of a longer luteal phase. What does that mean?

Hey all, thanks for the good wishes for my appointments today 😊 Both went well ultrasound showed that ovaries and uterus are looking perfect and nicely settled down after the last IVF cycle with 13 antral follicles so it’s all systems go for round 2 with meds starting on Monday and endo scratch in 2 weeks 😊 Best of all there was no sign of Dr Doom and the nurses were lovely and positive.
The NHS appointment was very good too - looks like I’m eligible for a funded cycle so I might get one more chance if the next two we’ve paid for don’t work. The consultant is getting all blood tests done again to kick start the referral but the only bad news is that DHs SA had a poor result in one area so she wants that done again too and the waiting list is currently 8 weeks so have a 2 month wait before she can refer us and get us on the waiting list. The cutoff age in my area is 42 so if the list is much longer than a year we won’t get it but it’s worth going for!

I meant CD6 not 6DPO. I am out of touch with the lingo and Im getting old

@Dinah99 I really hope it's not AF on it's way for you - still holding out hope for both of us to get BFP's this month xxx

I think but can’t be sure that I am 6dpo. I am very dry and am hoping this is normal for this stage of cycle. I can’t remember the details of my cycle prior to Mirena. I remember marking the EWCM days but can’t recall what things were like between period and then. I did have ovulation pain and EWCM when I had the Mirena although I never had a bleed.
At this point I’ll be happy just to see evidence that I am ovulating. So will wait and see. I think any sign of fertility is a little blessing in this situation.
Aunts Geek hoping AF shows for you soon so you can regain control of your cycle. Have you thought about acupuncture or reflexology to kick start things?

@MakeAWhish you're still in it though don't be disappointed, hang on in there! I've got really crampy which I tend not to before AF so I guess it's on its way....

BFN today, 10dpo (I think) AF due in 5 days. Will try and leave it a few days but I know I'll test again tomorrow! Good luck to all testing x

I found accupuncture helped my lp too, got it up from 11 days to 13. Hoping to go back to it in a few weeks.

DH asked me earlier if I was going to test. Told him No. think I'm 13dpo today. Not sure. Nor am I sure when AF is arriving as it's first cycle post missed MC. Will just wait and see what happens.

Cookie - same happened to me this cycle with +opk's and no temp rise. I've no idea when ov happened now as had to go away 2 days after 2nd +opk so decided to just roll with it. Now awaiting af which would be tomorrow if temp had risen on the 1st day away.

Mellon - i often have ewcm quite a few days before ov happens, sometimes up to 6 days before (not for the whole time, just for a few days) so your ov is more likely later. Have you tried opk's or temping?

@MakeAWhish omg you're worse than I am for testing early!! as you probably saw below mine was bfn... x

@Chatbash72 it's a nightmare isn't it, you go through all the timing and opk's for them to be tired.... I've still no spotting but did a frer this morning and bfn. It didn't help that I'd had a wee an hour before and I'd read instructions wrongly and held it for only 3 secs instead of 5 but however much I squinted and looked at it next to window I couldn't see a line.... annoying as we've guests tonight and tomorrow and feel in limbo for . Oh well..... so no spotting and no bfp, and that's why they tell us not to test early! I have to learn....

@Dinah99 my OH sometimes gets like this.. it's like his " don't feel up for it " mood clashes with when I'm ov which is too frustrating.. and yes in those final days before af I get scared to go to the loo.... just in case I see spotting...
@mellongoose not sure when you ov, can you feel ov twinges or cm? Dtd every few days to keep yourself covered and swimmers in the tubes x

@Dinah99 I think you meant @mellongoose. Sorry Mellon I'm not a CM follower but I assume your ov happens just after your EWCM, maybe you had a long luteal phase. Can't really say for sure.

Had +OPKs for 2 days and was expecting my temp rise this morning but it didn't happen. Now thinking everything under the sun as to why I'm broken. Hopefully it just pops up tomorrow.

@mondaycando1 don't give up hope! I got pregnant at 43 11months but miscarried due to undiagnosed thyroid issue. It can happen for you xx

@Dinah99 Glad it's not just me!! I seriously can't wait to test with FMU in the morning - argh!!!
I have been laughing about it with a friend and with my OH today. I keep obsessively checking this mornings test and squinting at it in diff lights. No one else can see even the slightest hint of a second line I fear I may lose my mind.... x

@MakeAWhish you're not alone the way I look at it is the torture of the final week is short lived and I totally commiserate with a weepie and . Do you have friends to share what you're going through or are you keeping it to yourself? My fingers are crossed for you! lots of baby dust to everyone and sorry for the bfns - gutting everytime xxx

Good luck @CritterTamer for tomorrow that sounds positive, this is the first month I've not spotted pre AF (apart from 7dpo which as I'm an obsessional symptom spotter I'm optimistically calling possible IB) 2 days pre AF getting crampy but still the eternal
Optimist. Will prob test early as have been given progesterone to take the minute I get bfp and as I've given myself til Feb I figure I can take the hit on the compulsive POAS. it's getting harder, DH feels "under pressure" erm helloooo how do we feel? So I'm having to not be scientific and instead get seductive which in itself is suspicious when I want to scream "just do it on these days then you're off the hook"! Anyone else having this too? Good luck to everyone with pending tests and I'm hoping a bfp will mean I don't have to get my best nylon 70s babydoll out

I'm due on Sunday, but think I already have a few af cramps.... but being hopeful I'm planning on testing on Friday :)

Here's a really straight forward question for you experts. Af arrives, the 14 days later I have ewcm. But af arrives 3 weeks after that. When do I ovulate?

I'm in ov pain city at the mo. DH has made it his mission to get me pregnant this month and asked for ideal dates in advance. 3 goes down, now on to the waiting! Joy...
