Over 40 ttc - August baby dust for me!

Clinic called - we have 11 out of 12 eggs fertilised this morning so super happy with that 😊 transfer booked for Tuesday so next stage is hoping some make it to day 5 😊

Did you see on the news they're recalling some clear blue digital as they have been giving false positives! Can u imagine trying for ages, you think you're pregnant, but the test is wrong!! Some ladies must have had an awful time due to those tests!

@Orchid222 Lord no! Certainly not more than once a day I wish! I just meant (sorry TMI) that he only really penetrates and ejaculates inside if we are TTC. Not a problem as we do lots of other stuff

We tended to only do this when I thought I was ovulating. Over 2 or 3 days. I wasn't tracking as such or temping so was going by my dates and EWCM.

Then I had a weird 5 week cycle. So I had no idea when I was ov. We dtd several times early in my cycle and only twice when I assumed I was ov. Therefore it's entirely possible I've been ov early in my cycle. No idea what the 5 weeks is all about.

Just back from EC and really happy that we got 12 eggs from 12 follicles - that’s double last time’s count 😊 unlikely that all are mature so doubt we’ll get 100% fertilisation again but 🤞 for a good number! Will be a long wait until tomorrow to find out!

I've done some reading up on DHEA and I'm sold. Appatently it rejouvinates your eggs so they are like that of a younger person. It gives you more evergy and boosts your sex drive as well as giving you better quality eggs witg more chancd of conception and loweing the rate of miscarriage. Only downside is it can make you bald and spotty. Boom. I'm in.

Really worried aboit not having enough sex! Will have to purchase some viagra for DH

^This... or at least having sex at the 'right' time. We doubled our efforts and it was the first BFP since DD 4 years ago. Now you've all got me sh1tting myself. I think I'm 7 weeks and am still waiting for my midwife booking in app. What with my weird 5 week cycles, I could be further on.

I'm keeping up with this thread but not wanting to shove every single pregnancy worry on here. I'm so grateful but need to get over the hurdles of abnormality test before I can relax. Oh and DH has had the predicted meltdown about age and money etc.

Keep going everyone. I believe we are now teens well into our 20s. Fertility is fertility until you stop ovulating.

I was sat having a coffee in a cafe when I was catching up on this thread and reading your post and I looked up and saw a clock with the words never give up written across the clock face! A clock of all things too - how poignant when time is what we are all worrying about and then to see those words So ladies - onwards and upwards and above all forget your age and believe xx
