Over 40 ttc - August baby dust for me!

1.5 years is a long time and very hard physically and mentally but I try to say when I get down it's not forever, there will be an end and it's just a chapter albeit a tough frustrating nail biting hellish one with loads of sacrifices - Bloody AF isn't here after all, I don't feel pregnant it must just be v v late, but if it doesn't come soon I'll be out for sept as OH away during new OV time.... arggggh. xx

In fairness @mondaycando1 we could quite easily do nearly 1000 posts in one month 😱

Hi ladies, well I'm confused and annoyed with myself!
I managed to sneak out to the supermarket and buy an frer... except I bought the wrong type of frer! Didn't even know there was too types! There's the good one (early response) and a rapid response which is only good after period is missed! Needless to say it was a bfn. Wish I'd bought the right one as now I'm just confused

Hi @Orchid222 - I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way - I know how awful it is. Obviously it has to be your decision but if I my offer some advice - the chances of IVF being successful at our age are so low even with standard IVF that going for mild IVF would just reduce that chance even further. It’s mainly used for younger women or MFI I think and wasn’t even considered as a viable option by my clinic.

@Orchid222 it's really tough isn't it, you have to outwardly show how happy you are and inside it cuts like a knife, hope you're ok, sounds like you're taking positive steps though. xx

One day away from the scheduled arrival of AF. No symptoms bar the odd cramping which happens usually. Did wake up at 2am with horrid horrid abdominal pain think that was more to do with last night's dinner than anything else, I think have a good week, all 👍🏼

Just checked in with my Ovia app. I put in a few details from yesterday and today and it's completely changed when it thinks I'm ovulating. Before, it said it would be this Tuesday. Now it says it was yesterday!!!!! Not helpful when DH is working late tonight and out early in the morning!

We DTD on Thursday. Will try to pin him down during the night, poor fella. Am clueless as to when it's actually happened.

@Dinah sorry that af has arrived. Ive tested on the day she appears and its like a double blow.

Im still lingering in the background. We've settled into our new home and I've been more relaxed in the past few weeks than I have been in the past 2 years...here's hoping this mindset bears fruit, as such. I'm now CD 29, knowing for sure I ovulated 2 weeks ago today. Other than a twinge in the sides and tender boobs I've no sign of af nor a bfp. I've no tests in the house, though having tested earlier in the week I got solid bfns. I probably have invoked the witch having had this chat with dh and posting on here 😏

Thanks that's kind @MakeAWhish, I'd just started to believe I was in for a bfp, it's a bit gutting but we all know about that and just got to get on to hoping for September. Yes & a roast is a good call wish it was the evening then it would be xx

I'm pretty sure I'm out. CD29 of 31/32 day cycle, and BFN. Pretty sure with my other pregnancies that I got BFPS by now. Just waiting for AF now so I can get on with next month.
Weirdly been having super vivid dreams every night for the past 3 nights. Really odd ones too.

I failed to get to shops today and with dh work and kids (who can read shopping basket contents & ask questions etc!) around til back to school, think it'll be Wednesday before I get more tests and that'll be cd34 so should know then for sure, or not. Picked up the lidl weekly flyer today and its full of maternity and baby stuff, so want to be able to look at that meaningful along with the rest of you.

You lot will be the first to know! (after DH of course )
