Welcome @Snowie3 👍

Well I'm on CD36. I've just got my first BFP since DD. Am truly gobsmacked. I don't particularly remember symptoms last time and I have absolutely none this time. If it weren't for home tests I wouldn't have a clue. Hoping I can hang on to this one 😬

littlemimosa · 18/09/2018 23:20

Welcome all new ladies and congrats on the bfps.
Lumpy and Raffey - I was so sorry to read of your losses. Cleo’s right, Mother Nature needs to catch up. It’s not fair.
Chat - I just ovulated day 6/7 too! It’s weird isn’t it. It’s definitely an age thing with me. Never used to happen. Used to always be Day 13/14. If I get to double figures these days it’s a good month.

Cleozeta · 18/09/2018 21:37

Monday - I find 2nd wee of the day best for opk's. I've tried them later but the wee is always too diluted by then so I always get a weaker line. Maybe you need to experiment with different times and see what works best for you?

As for the sore boobs, I think it's the progesterone that causes that. It's quite common. I had it every month before my mc, weirdly not had it since though.

Welcome snowie

CritterTamer · 18/09/2018 17:20

Lol @Chatbash72 sounds like you need to grab a yoga yin video and chill out for a while, or have a nice relaxing soak in a hot bath 😊

@Weasledee it’s a bit sciencey but the main idea is that the injury to the endometrium stimulates white blood cells to the area and they supposedly help with implantation. There’s also something about gene switching which needs to activate at implantation and the scratch supposedly helps that to start up too but don’t really understand what that is to be honest.

Snowie3 · 18/09/2018 17:12

Hello ladies!

Wondering if i can join you?

I'm 42 ttc baby #2. Had a miscarriage at around 7 weeks in June and been trying since.

Hoping I've still got it in me for a healthy bub.

Sending positive vibes to everyone xx

mondaycando1 · 18/09/2018 16:52

Thank you ladies. Am actually then wondering if I have missed the peak and maybe I have ov'd as yesterday and today have sore boobs which happened for the 2nd half of my cycle last month. Which I've never noticed before but maybe that's just because I am noticing everything more?! What causes sore boobs from date of ovulation??

Chatbash72 · 18/09/2018 14:58

@mondaycando1 used to about 3.30 a rubbish time during the day, but I think it is a individual thing.. keep peeing 😉

Floofsquidge · 18/09/2018 14:56

@mondaycando1 I used the clear blue digital ones as I never really got along with the strips that well, but the instructions said to do first wee of the day as more concentrated, but a few here have said they were missing the peak so maybe try twice a day?

crivit · 18/09/2018 14:52

It seems to vary person to person @mondaycando1 - I tend to switch to twice a day about 5 or so days before I may expect a positive just to cover the day better.

mondaycando1 · 18/09/2018 14:36

Hmm, 4 days of faint opks but no fat line. Am doing then about 6 in the evening- is this completely the wrong time of the day?

Chatbash72 · 18/09/2018 12:57

Oh my god hormone overload.. plus tiredness... not a good combo.. ran out of usual pre nat vits, should have gotten them in Waitrose when I saw them as then had a cost dilemma when in town.. why are they so bloody expensive.. 😯 thought I would just used the folic acid I had at home because also didn't want to change brand.. ended up having a cheeky treat coffee, which turned out to be free as had enough points or stamps.. decision made back to Superdrug vits bought.. yes my brain is being odd today... 😳

weasledee · 18/09/2018 12:07

Brave critter! What does this procedure actually do?

mellongoose · 18/09/2018 06:53

Well done @CritterTamer. Sounds utterly horrible.

CD 35 here. If I don't see af today I will start to get my hopes up. After last month's ups and downs (and several others) I'm resigned to the fact that my cycle has lengthened. I don't know why!

I'll report back tomorrow.

CritterTamer · 17/09/2018 21:05

@Dinah99 I had all of those after my last embryo transfer, together with masses of implantation pains but sadly had a BFN 😔

Congrats to all those with BFPs - there seem to be lots since I was last here a few days ago!

I’m just back from having my endometrial scratch - all i can say is OUCH! It hurt so much I was trying so hard not to squirm and wriggle but was sure I was failing - squeezed DHs hand so hard lol. Afterwards the doctor said you were amazing you hardly flinched at all, most people can’t bear it that well. I was so shocked - had thought I’d been such a baby lol.

Dinah99 · 17/09/2018 18:20

@mellongoose metallic taste in mouth & lots of white lotiony cm, extreme hunger, dizzy/faint x

Floofsquidge · 17/09/2018 13:12

@mellongoose it's mother nature's sick joke but it really has been almost identical. Only noticeable difference was around the 13dpo mark my nipples were embarrassingly pointy through a thick t-shirt bra! but by that point I'd already taken an early test so was actively aware of anything different. Also my temp has stayed high and hasn't dipped since ovulation.

mellongoose · 17/09/2018 12:53

Does anyone know of any symptoms that you would get in early pregnancy but not PMS?! I've had so many false alarms over that couple of years. Always ended up being PMS.

CD34 here....still waiting. Last month was a 35 day cycle.

Cleozeta · 17/09/2018 11:46

Better just get dtd then chat!!

Petra - I find grapefruit juice does the same, quite handy, although tastes vile!

Chatbash72 · 17/09/2018 11:31

@Cleozeta yup early but that does happen sometimes, nope don't do opks.. I never got the hang of peak days either

PetraRabbit · 17/09/2018 11:15

So sorry about the bad news, Raffey and Lumpy.

Floof, that is really exciting!

In case it's helpful to anyone, I've found eating fresh grapefruit has increased my EWCM this month. Basic maybe, but hopefully useful to somebody.

Cleozeta · 17/09/2018 11:14

My cycle has changed yet again. When it came to temping I used the know when ov day was here as I'd always get a low dip, followed by a big rise the next day. Dip day was also +opk day and 1st day of peak. For the last few cycles I've had no dip, and a very slow rise, starting on 2nd peak day. And 1st peak day is now the day after +opk. So confusing! So now, rather than ov being dame day as +opk, it's about 3 days later! I just wish my body would stick to one pattern so I can know whats going on. But at least I think I have actually ov'd. Thats a bonus.

Cleozeta · 17/09/2018 11:08

Wow thats early chat! Have you done an opk?

Chatbash72 · 17/09/2018 11:00

Mother Nature is very much a cheeky lady, day 6 in cycle 2.5 days post af and cm gone bonkers.. was having r sided pain during af... not taking any chances that an early egg is popping... beware the early cycle egg... my bf had 2 babies caught on day 5 😳

Floofsquidge · 17/09/2018 10:56

@Cleozeta I couldn't agree more. Reading the statistics is soul destroying.

Cleozeta · 17/09/2018 10:36

Sorry for all the losses, it's so sad when these babies are so wanted. I had a mmc this year too. Unfortunately I think it is much more common as we get older.
I think nature needs to rethink the human fertility timeline to keep up with modern day. How is it that so many teenagers and young adults have unwanted pregnancies so easily when they are still ptetty much children themselves and could clearly not cope, whereas happily married secure and stable ladies at 40 struggle to conceive as nature has decided it's 'too late' for them. Makes no sense! Come on mother nature - keep up!
