Anyone on here ttc for the first time in their late 30s? Or has anyone reading this conceived at 37? How long did it take you?
Cycle #1 just finished with an early AF and I'm more disappointed than I thought I would be (Googling statistics about declining egg quality has me panicking). DH is 32... I'm starting to wish we had started trying before we got married! Any advice welcome so I don't lose my mind! Confused

Forgot to say good luck OP! Like you I recently got married and we started trying straight after the wedding. It's definitely doable at our age :)

I'm 38 and just over 20 weeks pregnant with my first baby. It took us six months altogether, three months of 'seeing what happens' and three months of tracking my cycles with an ovulation kit. I later discovered that I have fibroids which can make it more difficult to conceive but I was 12 weeks pregnant by that point so was spared the anxiety I otherwise would have felt!

Thank you so much @LaurenSteph and @ShowgirlnamedLola this is so reassuring to read. I do tend to over think things and when I do stuff it's all or nothing. Probably need to calm down Smile Congratulations too! I really do feel more positive after reading this, thank you so much xxx

I got pregnant at 37 after just one cycle - we weren't trying but I'd just got my periods back after having my first and breastfeeding him for ages. That month I got pregnant. You're still young. Try not to overthink it

I have nothing but positive stories about conceiving in mid to late thirties. Myself and all my friends are having babies mid to late thirties :) I just discovered I am pregnant and I am 36. We tried for three months (and I have endometriosis).

One friend just had her second child at 39 (they got pregnant first try) and another is due any day now and she is 38 (pregnant 2nd try). And another friend had her second child at 37, and they tried for 6 months. And I keep seeing old school friends on FB having kids in their late thirties. Don't panic too much about the drop in fertility when you pass 35 - yes it does "start" to drop but it's not this sudden big decline overnight. Good luck!
