Too early for a September bus?

I've (intentionally) missed out on an August BFP due to planned holidays but I'm crossing my fingers for a 7th September BFP/AF! Not sure if there's a September thread already?

Age: 27
TTC: No. 1
Cycle: 1

Getting my coil taken out this coming weekend and really hoping I'm one of the lucky ones whose cycle goes straight back to normal! I haven't had a period for years but have been tracking my bbt for the past month.

I buckled and tested bfn obviously!! Only 8dpo

PeanutButterJellyTime2 · 23/08/2018 12:37

You're not being unreasonable at all @Peonie89! My sil has 5 and I have felt the same way. I think it's a perfectly normal reaction

Peonie89 · 23/08/2018 12:14

@PeanutButterJellyTime2 congratulations, such wonderful news this morning Smile

AF finished on Wednesday for me, so its back to CD 6 for me. Found out yesterday that SIL is expecting which was a bit of a shock (already has 6 kids all over 10yrs) after a little cry (AIBU?) because we have been trying for a while and are yet to have our BFP. Today, after some needed sleep, feeling a little better about it all that if we do get our BFP soon then bubba would have someone to play with who is closer to their age.

@KinCat it’s probably nothing but I thought it’s so strange.

I’m going to wait until the 31st. Part of me is glad to go back to work from tomorrow so I spend less time thinking about it.

cupcakesandglitter · 23/08/2018 11:19

@KinCat I think the Poundland ones say they're 20... no idea what that means though 😂😂 I found it written quite small on the side of the box if that helps? X

em254 · 23/08/2018 11:14

@KinCat I know what you mean as generally the cheaper ones are less sensitive. I think they should state on the packet though. I know it’s probably a waste of time and money but I am POAS addict and kind of use it to pass they days. 14 days of waiting feels like a lifetime!

KinCat · 23/08/2018 10:58

@em254 part of my problem with testing early is I have no idea how sensitive the tests I have are. Do they normally have this info on the packet? I wouldn't want to test early unless they're really sensitive ones.

When is everyone thinking of testing? I think I might start testing around 8 or 9 DPO with some cheapies purely because waiting until AF feels like such a long time away!

KinCat · 23/08/2018 09:22

@Smileyface32 I've had four in a row before (although that was 3 consecutive, one day missed and then the 4th same one).

Congrats @PeanutButterJellyTime2 xx

KinCat · 23/08/2018 08:44

@Lov3Rosie we're cycle twins! I'm also 4dpo and due 2nd September (according to fertility friend anyway). Also hoping for twins here! I'm a twin and it's great. When do you think you'll test? I've only got a couple in the house so will probably try to save them until my period is late.

Ahahaha! I almost spat my tea out there 🤣No but that’s a good idea if we have to DTD again tonight!

I’ve never had to work so hard to get him over the line! I feel like a broken woman today! 🤣

MuddyElephant · 23/08/2018 07:41

Congrats @peanutbutterjellytime2

PeanutButterJellyTime2 · 23/08/2018 07:34

@em254 did you dtd whilst waving an tissue with olbas oil in front of his face??

em254 · 23/08/2018 07:33

Congratulations @PeanutButterJellyTime2! Great news! x

Lov3Rosie · 23/08/2018 07:24

Fantastic news to read this morning, @PeanutButterJellyTime2! I am so happy for you. Flowers

I am currently at 4dpo and been crazy at symptom spotting. Just this morning,I can feel the twinges/movements in my uterus (implantation?) and woke up with sore boobies.

My AF is due on 2nd Sept so I am (trying) to hold off from early testing. We also look forward for a summer baby(ies) (still having that wishful thinking to have twinsGrin)

Hope all is keeping well x

em254 · 23/08/2018 07:24

Yesterday morning/afternoon I didn’t have anymore ewcm and thought that was fine as must have ovulated. Then yesterday evening I had loads, took another OPK and it was really dark! Ended up having to talk OH into DTD again, he’s now got man flu so was a bit of a struggle!

Congrats @PeanutButterJellyTime2 no need to feel guilty..enjoy every moment!

mrss2018 · 23/08/2018 07:17

Yay congratulations @PeanutButterJellyTime2 Thanks

PeanutButterJellyTime2 · 23/08/2018 07:07

I got a BFP last night and this morning as AF was late. We flew back from holiday yesterday afternoon.

I'm really shocked! I've had a lot of stomach surgery plus some other auto immune conditions and have been told we would have great difficulty conceiving. My boyfriend and I have been so so unlucky for the last 3 years so we are both a bit Shock

I feel quite guilty writing this as I know some of you have been trying for a longer time.

Smileyface32 · 23/08/2018 06:50

@GreatestShowWoman when do you think you’ll test? I’m refusing to buy a test until I’m late 😊

Smileyface32 · 23/08/2018 06:47

Just curious if this has happened to anyone? Had the same temp for 3 days. I know the themometer is fine as I used it mid day to test my temp and to see if it changes. I just keep thinking what are the chances?

@Lemonsugar245 is there any way you could go private to get the tests done more quickly?

My DH was initially reluctant to start TTC a summer baby but then I pointed out all the super smart summer babies we know - including his own mother! Selfishly I want a summer baby because then I'd get to be off work during our busiest season (June - August). For my work a September baby would be the worst as I'd be doing 12 hour days with lots of stress all though the third trimester. I guess these things are kind of impossible to plan though.

Sounds really difficult for you @Lemonsugar245! What do you think you might do?
